    Donny Walker just did a video on the primer bulb line issue. He advised routing it differently.

    Evening Walt, Donny Walker brought that fuel line problem up on one of his videos and also the case cracking on a 592 where the dog is mounted, Husqvarna is going to or has beefed the case up on them under warranty just something to be aware of if your not already.

      We will c. Haven't seen a service bulletin yet. I'll report to my channel when there is an official response. But to the line. It is both too long and the material too soft. Choose to cut it until there is a better part. Might use some yellow line until husqvarna does something official.

    Bought a 592xp brand new and that same fuel line was kinked, primer bulb would not fill up. Just rotated the line around until finding a spot it wouldn’t kink. All Good now!

    The very second you noticed that kinked primer hose I knew it was going to be fixed before the end of the video🤣🤣. That 585 is no slouch but cutting hardwood logs I had to opt for the 592. Smoothest big saw I have ever owned.

    Congratulations on your 585 purchase Walt! 10 years ago you needed a nice low hour Stihl 064 ;) The 585 I picked up back in August had the same fuel line issue, but so don't the 592s (plus some). I had hoped the 585 would have been lighter, more like a 064. I agree the 585 is getting very little attention compared to the 592 which is too bad. Buy what you want, something you can enjoy while working hard. I suspect since you have run both the 592 & 585 you don't need me to tell ya you made a good choice :) I am glad you have it on your channel and am looking forward to seeing you put some time on it. 👍

    • @afleetcommand

      Yeah I have run them both :) And a lot of the competitions saws as well. Honestly prolly like you I really don't need another saw or another anything actually. SO find things of interest to mess with. :) This saw was interesting for a lot of esoteric reasons :) SO I bought it. Now glad I did :)

    Wow! Cool saw Walt. I would match that up with the 550 for liming , and fell and buck with the 585. I'm seventy now so I drop start my big saws. Old truck driver, shoulders both shot. You are the first to showcase the 585 that I have seen. I got a Dolmar 7900 for my big saw and it is great but I like the 365. Got an 8 pin and a ported muffler, she cuts. How long will it take to get the taste of the blue saw out of your mouth. Fun to watch you and learn but not for me. Tell me about that G 888 hey? We know. Love your videos brother.

    • @duck-n-cover477
      @duck-n-cover477 Год назад

      Agree. I'd modify that somewhat in my opinion, the 550 and its Rev Boost is great for limbing, but the 545 is better for felling and limbing...545 revs plenty fast, runs cooler, and pulls easier to start. Husqvarna makes great saws at 50cc and 72cc plus, but the 400 and 500 Stihl are also great in their displacement class.

    I was in the local Husqvarna dealer the other day and they had the display out with many saws including the 592xp but curiously no 585xp … I asked the woman behind the counter how much the 585xp was and she looked into her computer screen, click click click and then after a minute proceeded to tell me no such model exists ! Well , cross that dealer off my paper route 😎😝😀

    Husqvarna took the 372 back to the market because their was a demand for a carb tuneable saw along side the auto-tunes and in their marketing strategy thats why the 585 is alongside the 592 because a lot of people like to tune their carbs as opposed to auto-tune freedom of choice and thats the way it should be IMHO and thats why I bought a 585 a few months ago and its never missed a beat the funny thing is the fuel lines were spot on for size and I havent heard any complaints yet in the u.k about them.

    Walt . the more of your videos that i watch , the more i find it quite irritating that no shops here in my area will carry any Husky saws bigger than the 460... you've shown several saws that i would love to pick up, including this one. i have been looking for a saw in the 90 cc class to run a 32inch bar.

    I also agree with you.... I think the blue 395 is much harder to start than an oem 395.

    • @afleetcommand
      @afleetcommand  Год назад +2

      For you? Not cheap enough to justify going 585 v 592. Anyone younger and with less injury history than me, the 592 is the way to go. My reasons are counter intuitive, it's an 86cc saw not a 92. Easier to pull over. Makes good enough power to do what I need, and the really the big difference in parts between the 585 and 592 is cylinder BORE ( same casting ) therefore smaller piston and carb w/o Autotune module. The bigger 592 cylinder will bolt on and I bet someone takes a 585 carb and bolts that on a 592 at some point, everyone wanting to do something unique. :) My goal for that saw is to last past the time I can run it. And its beefy built. Heavy as a result but I like it. :) As LONG as you are hunting the Ported saw option, your heart will be wanting the 592.

    • @timberslasher4899
      @timberslasher4899 Год назад +1

      @@afleetcommand I want a 592 yes....but... since I have gotten into the ported saws and I have a couple of ported 372s I don't know that I will pay the money for a 592 because I probably won't use it much simply due to the weight difference and we are cutting primarily pine now since going to work contracting for Woodgrain Inc. I like to play with the 395 clone now and then just for fun like in the video the other day. But it was really working me hard for no good reason in this pine... The 372s that Aaron Lynch ported for me will actually best that 395 pretty good right now. I am going to muffler mod the 395 and maybe try to improve the squish and those 2 things in combination with further break in may put it back above the ported saws but I'm sure not enough to justify carrying the weight. Aaron has a good recipe on those 372s. I'm talking super nasty power without burning much more gas. Thanks for the insight!

    • @afleetcommand
      @afleetcommand  Год назад +2

      Yeah common both with 592 & 585. Being a primer line some just run it. But mine was SO kinked, it wouldn't draw the fuel. Actually a "yellow" fuel line would be a better fix. I figured get it out and see if folks and dealers get an updated line from Husqvarna. For me it's more than the length.. The line is too soft a material as well.
