Nice! It was refreshing to see something outside of GW. I almost didn't believe my eyes when I read Sword'n'Steele and Tiger I in the same title.
I called Porsche customer support sadly they are no longer making their variant of these :(
This one was designed by Henshel.
@@oldtanker7665 The chassis is Henshel but the turret is a Porsche design
@@PieAndChips the Turret is a Krupp
I would love to see a Bolt Action or SPQL battle report one day! Would love to see some of these pieces in action! Thank you, as always Naomi! Loved the video.
Awwww what a cute little tank. A Baby Tiger.
Loved the assembly montage. I am looking forward to hopefully seeing you play a game of this at some point.
That speed build was super satisfying! You definitely fumble around a lot less than I do when I build my miniatures! ("aannnnd... DONE! Wait. MY THUMB DOESN'T BELONG THERE, WHY IS IT GLUED INSIDE THE CHASIS!?).
Great unboxing, your opinions at the end are very insightful :D
Great to see Warlord games getting some love, please do a battle report for SPQR, loved the painting tutorial. Heh i guess Mirela packs everything at Warlord Games, its the only name i get in those cards :D
Now you're into what I love to do WW2 armor 😊 I build 1/35 scale though! This video made my heart happy! I'm so happy this came into my video feed!!! Rock on girl!
Nicely done! That’s a great looking model. I love the way the track assembly works on the Warlord/Italeri plastic kits. Thanks for sharing!
Paint it!!🤠
Naomi, I play Bolt Action and have 3 of those. Reccomendation...that loose turret mantlet...get some green stuff or model putty behind the mantlet and ouila! This shoud help.
The solution I came here looking for, many thanks
@@wildtony79 You're welcome m8!
Hell yeah! Love me some WW2 modeling
It would be excellent to see that Tiger I painted with as much care as you take with your scale soldiers. Even a matte, panzer gray finish with detailed highlights, done with your skill, would bring life to it.
Would need to be dark yellow, with or without camo. This Tiger has zimmerit, I think that dates it after they stopped using Panzer Grey.
I just got the Bolt Action King Tiger. It's in progress, I'm building mine as the Porsche-turret version. I also have 2 of the M4 Shermans, almost finished, and a Panzer III. The Bolt Action kits are a great compromise between detail and robust enough for the gaming table.
Porsche never designed a turret. Krupp was in charge of designing the turrets for both the Porsche and Henschel prototypes.
@@wwiiinplastic4712 True. It's a colloquial name only. I always say "Porsche Turret" because my model-kits call it that.
I do call the other turret the "Serien Turm", which is more accurate.
Awesome build video. Would have loved to see you paint it as well. That may be another video though. Love your content!!! 💖
The Warlord kits are lovely, but I got the Rubicon Tiger and I think it is slightly better quality. The detailing is crisper and you generally get a greater number of options in the Rubicon kits.
There are at least three types of Warlord kits. There are the original resin and white metal style. Then there are two newer types of plastic kits. Some are done by Italeri and some by Warlord themselves (well some undisclosed supplier). I think the own-brand Warlord plastic is better than the Italeri plastic. And I agree that Rubicon is slightly better still.
Italeri in my own experience, always made very good scale models; i don't remember to have had any problem with one of 'em, very good detail... never had a missed part or had a broken part... i like Italeri.
Love unboxing videos ... building the model is not something I have seen anyone do before ... loved it !
The Tiger costs so many points in Bolt Action that it is rarely used. You should do a half-track next. And I bet Melody would love the dinky 222 armoured car.
Very cool assembly! Tigers were great thanks, I am partial to Panthers.
The field yellow and red oxide squiggle pattern was an interesting paint job on any late war German Armor, but the palette is yours! Thanks!
Great model. Thanks for the build, always nice to see the assembled model.
When you build one of these type of kits you really appreciate the quality of GW models in comparison.
Impressive model...and nice build!
The interleaved roadwheels as one block.. That's heresy! They have to be separate parts. It would be fun to clean 32 wheels. :-P
Well remember this kit is for the mini war game "Bolt Action". The kit is intended to simplify/speed up assembly so you can get the model on the game table quicker.
Good video. I haven't assembled a scale model, without painting it first, in 42 years. I would have spent at least 8 hrs prepping and painting that one. My hands aren't as steady as they once were.
I have a platoon of these in HO scale. They're fragile little things. I have them loaded onto heavy flat cars for my railroad.
It's my railroad, I can do what I want. :)
🚂
Tigers were actually regularly transported on railway flat cars.
Nice, I think they did metal tracks and gun barrel for their old big tanks nice to see that they're going 100% plastic now
Nice little review Naomi . Nice to see the zimmerit coating too .
Any chance of some 15mm Napoleonic painting tutorials ? Maybe contrast paints and standard paints . Just a thought 😁
Keep up the great work
great build , would love to see the painted end product of the tank ....a small tip , when building plastic models , try using tamiyas extra thin cement
Makes me want to play the new bolt action.
Ohhhh, you do military model building, too?!? I.....I......I think I love you.
had a similar problem with the panther barrels. ended up just gluing them in place.
Oh I like to add that tiger one too my bolt action army I already have the Rubicon model the only downside for that kit is the they added the Zimt on that Hall Of that tank they didn’t not have those on the early production models they were added later is to prevent magnetic explosives from sticking in the hall of that tank but still nice review keep up the good work.
That cat needs some camolove with your airbrush!
Thanks for the change from GW, how does it compare size wise with GW, can it be used as a proxy for guard? I've been looking at those toanks but didn't want to invest in them if they look way out of proportion....thanks!!
These are more 1/56 scale, they look very small next to a Cadian Guardsman. You might want to take a look at Tamiya 1/48 armor kits.
@@anna-elizabeth Thanks!
@@1crlski Sure! If I could post photos, I would do a comparison.
Definitely go for 1/48th for guard. Though you may want to make the guns bigger to fit the 40k aesthetic. Maybe get some 1/35th ones or actual GW ones. Though it's not necessary if you're not keen on the silly oversized guns.
Thanks for the tips.
I'm currently on the hunt for some tanks to kit bash with Wargames Atlantic Deathfields spare heavy weapons.
9:00 is an interesting change in pitch :) Regardless, nice video. I had a model like that years ago as one of my very first models ever.
Nice Video Naomi. I like that you mix things up and it's very refreshing to listen to you and watch your Videos. What is the name of the song at 4:27?... Keep up the great work and greetings from Czech Republic.
I still like how Rubicon gives you early mid and late options. Better engine deck details too. Only falls short on the tracks.
Good review and build. When will you paint it? Hope you use the commander figure.
Bill
I know at that scale your options are limited, but personally I pass on Italeri when there is another choice.
Nice job on the build. I wonder if something could be done to make that main gun so it wouldn't droop. I'd hate to just glue it in place, but it looks so sad hanging down like that.
Depending on how far you want to go with the paint job, Vallejo has some great dry pigments, mud effects, rust, etc. Definitely worth checking out. AK Industries also has a very nice line of weathering pencils that are worth taking a look at. Not too expensive, and really easy to work with.
Yes, I'm not going to glue it, might scoot in a sphere magnet, just need to get a small one, that should do it, I think 🤔
Cool panzer, I can see from the steel road wheels that its a late Tiger production . thanks for sharing.
Not bad detail for the scale it is. For me it would be a complete nightmare to paint the road wheels, idlers and front sprocket drives along with the tracks. Also missing is the Zimmerit coating, which to the best of my knowledge, this particular Tiger I would have had from Middle version to Late, especially the Ausf. E. I'm an armor builder myself but prefer 1/35 no smaller than 1/48 from the Tamiya line of kits.
Check out some of the Walthers Cornertstone building kits they are pretty impressive. Very easy to build and look great painted.
nicely done, will you be painting this one? I would love to see that personally:) please and indeed thank you.
Naomi and a Tiger, gets a like from me.
The Tiger I art image at 1:47 appears to have T-34 track links, instead of the Panzer VI tracks. I wonder if that image was taken from a movie, which had a T-34 made over to resemble a Tiger...or did the Germans get so short of materials toward the end, that they had to manufacture an alternate set of track? Excellent show.
I think they have just tried to portray them in motion. The rest of the illustration looks spot-on accurate. They even have all the little details that only Tiger freaks would notice. The links on the actual model look like a decent portrayal in that small scale of the Kgs/63/725/130 links that were used by Tiger Es. Real Tigers never used Soviet style tracks. If anything, later models had more complex tracks as they added anti-skid mouldings to them.
Oh My God, A Tiger! My favorite tank. But Holztransistor is correct. A block of roadwheels!? NO! And I have had to break track on an M60A3...not fun, let me tell you. Thanks Naomi!
Italeri produces this model under it's own brand as well which does not include the markers & stat card, but is all so cheaper.
Great Video ! Love your clamp ,where did you get it ! Take care, Tony
What did you mean when you were going to "add friction" to the gun mount?
that dual clamp device would sure be handy especially if using super glue and not plastic cement
Is that made by GW?
It is handy! When magnetising something, it's become essential for me :P
Yes, it is from GW :)
Are you planning on doing any bolt action battle reports?
TIL that it takes two and a half songs to build a Tiger I.
What glue are you using?
The glue is called Model Master Liquid Cement :)
I saw a beautiful Tiger Tank model in Hobby Lobby that was made out of sheet metal! Do you ever do those?
... Naomi, can we expect Bolt Action battle report?)) ...
Nothing sexier than a tiger tank.
pbeccas except a hot woman building a tiger tank.
what is that glue that you're using?
I legit did a double take scrolling by this video lol thinking that a tiger tank :L also got one with a wee blob of German grenadiers
Interesting it's been years since I've been model building
Just curious but how does this compare in size when put next to a 40K Leman Russ or Chimera?
I don't know the dimensions of those two off hand, but this Tiger is about 4"long x 3"wide x 2"tall
@@swordnsteele712 Thanks for the info! As I suspected it's long enough but too skinny and a bit short. GW likes to make their vehicles so wide.
invariably you will find those missing parts by stepping on them in your bare feet.
Truth
Waiting for you to play Bolt Action with Melanie :)
I hseem to hear the Red Alert sound track in my head watching this.
👍🏻🙂
You should check out Rubicon models, there kits are all so used for Bolt Action. You have a lot more build options & the quality of the kits are next level.
Lady of tigers
for ze fuhur lmao i love the german army
*In love
scale tank kits really put GW kits to shame. Makes you realize how little you get for your money from GW.
How are you not out of room yet?! Lol.
I'm good at tetris XD
A beautiful woman unpacks a kit for a Tiger 1 Ausf.E and constructs the model. I am sorry I will have to lie down I am feeling a bit dizzy and somewhat peculiar. Please down paint it I am not sure if I will survive.
Careful now, you’ll find yourself at the grown ups table by playing these historical games !!!
Steve Gusky 🙄
I dont think wargamers ever grow up. 😉
Matt E With the amount of toys in my basement and the fact that I’m 55 yeah I have to agree
I was trying to be MGTOW until this channel appeared, are you a quest? where did you come from, not this time zone I am sure.
what brand of glue are you using ?
Testers Model Master Liquid Cement :)
@@swordnsteele712 thank you
