Bob, how would you compare this Faction ski to the Blizzard Rustler 9 or Atomic Maverick 95TI?

As you likely saw in the video, the positive camber of the Dancer sticks out. That makes it more poppy when loaded, but it is a bit heavier than the Maverick. The interesting thing about the Maverick is that it is very precise and reactive due to the fact that it is very light for having two sheets of metal. They also thin the tips and tails in the Atomic, and that makes it even quicker. The Rustler feels round, playful, and surfy by comparison--it can make clean carves, but if you push it too hard, it won't quite handle the pressure like the other two skis. Many skiers love the energy of the Dancer, but it is something that exists all the time. The Rustler opens it up a bit when it comes to demand and skier input.

@@SkiEssentials That's very specific detail. Thanks a lot!

Any reccomendation/thoughts on length between the 182 or 187 for the Dancer 2?
    I usually am on a 184+ ski.

Lots of camber in the Dancer 2, so it does ski long and smooth. If you're used to a 184, I think the 182 is a more direct comparison.

Thinking of getting a set of Dancer 1s for groomer days at Whistler. Im 6'1", 190 lbs, advanced skier. Lengths are 178 and 186 and I feel like Im in between. Thoughts?

I'd go 186. The skis aren't too heavy and while there's stability built in, they're not overly demanding due to the energy involved. For groomers and more carved turns, I think the 186 has more to offer someone of your size and stats.

Bob as a heavier skier, what would you see as the pros and cons v the Head Kore 93 which you have. I’m close to grabbing a Kore which I demoed and really liked but thought I should try one or two more stiffish but light skis. I’m probably advanced but close to 250lbs (since I stopped smoking)

The Dancer has built-in energy through the height of camber while the Kore relies on the skier to activate the carbon in order to generate a similar level of propulsion through the turn. As such, the Kore is more reactive and precise while the Dancer is more damp, at least when it comes to vibrations. I like how heavier skiers can bend the Kore to create that power, and while that's the case for the Dancer (or all skis for that matter), the stiffness of the Kore makes it especially challenging for lighter skiers to achieve the same style. I'd try the Dancer if you can, and in the mid 90's, I'd also add in the Rossignol Sender 94 Ti or the Atomic Maverick 95 Ti. Have fun!

@@SkiEssentials thank you for a great response. The Ross is on my radar as is the Maverick 95. I tried the Maverick 88 but found it lacked the responsiveness of the Kore 93.
