Great reaction ! The magic of Elvis' will leave you wanting more ! So glad you have jumped on the Elvis train hang on tight you are in for on hell of a ride ! ! !
You talk about Elvis' energy; well, people who've been lucky enough to have met him say that you knew when he walked in the room, even if you weren't looking, he lit up the room with his energy and his charisma. At the same time he was a very humble man and every time he met someone he would say, 'Hello, I'm Elvis Presley' even though there was absolutely no need for an introduction. I've been a fan for over 50 years now and it's so wonderful to see young people like you discovering Elvis and finding out what a truly talented and wonderful person he was. This is why his memory lives on 45 years after his untimely death and why, we, his fans, love him so much. What would be fantastic is if you let others know what you have discovered and dispel some of the myths out there about him. Thank you for all your great Elvis reactions. Keep them coming, I'm really enjoying them 😍
I remember watching this on TV in 1968. Something else like this is a once in a lifetime event. I was 17 at the time. I did get to see him live in 1972. Unforgettable!!!
@@Jigsaw0g he was awesome and it was a sad and seemed unreal the day that he died. We knew that life would never be the same with Elvis gone. I was 26 when he died.
Wow! That was fantastic! As long as you continue to be excited about Elvis, you're going to draw more and more Elvis fans to your channel. The sit-down portion of this show was basically a jam session, but Elvis was very spontaneous at his concerts as well. His musicians had to know all of his early songs in addition to what was on the show list because if an audience member yelled out a song title or he just decided to go "off script" they had to be ready.
You had and have great singers and performers all over the world but none like Elvis who had it all. Talent , voice charisma, and beauty , all in a packatdge.
I heard that voice for the first time when I was 12yrs old. It stopped mein my tracks as I walked passed the radio on parent's sideboard. I had no idea who was singing or how gorgeous he was but that man has been a friend to me for almost 64 years. The song was a ballad called 'Don't' and is still special to me now. Great to see you young folks enjoying his music - he was quite a modest person (until he got on stage and the music took over) and I suspect he would be stunned at the new generations who appreciate him today. Thank you and may I also suggest a song called 'Good Time Charlie's got the Blues'. A beautiful song with sensational guitar riffs. Keep up the good work.
I saw Elvis in person three times, and it was a treat! The energy and excitement was off the charts. He was a master showman, but he had the pipes to back it up.
Well i have subbed because i love your enthusiasm for Elvis!! You keep playing Elvis and your subs will go thru the roof!!! And that's ANY Elvis song you cannot go wrong!!
They put that chair in a closet and it's still flipping out! I think the microphone is still vibrating! The Guitar didn't survive!!! Great Jigsaw reaction!
If I can dream from the finale of the 68 comeback special is a must if you want to witness raw emotions. A song in tribute to Martin Luther King after his assassination.
Love the lighter, laugh. Yeah in the 70s when I was in junior high and high school and would go to these Arena rock concerts like Boston and kiss and 38 special and Blue Oyster Cult and Van Halen and so forth. Foghat etc. I was definitely one of those guys that knew how to bring several lighters and you could deform them slightly with your pocket knife to where they would just torch out and freak people out. It's a way to be seen in the audience because everybody was holding lighters up back in those days. So I'm glad you're aware of that. But yeah, this was a segment in the middle of the 1968 Comeback Special where by then he had that huge band that you see in a lot of those performances with choirs and horn sections and black backup singers and all kinds of stuff, but this was an intimate sit-down Jam on a small stage that was very simple and they reunited him with his original early on band and unfortunately they didn't get a chance to do much practice because of how rushed the schedule was on this. So it's a bunch of old boys getting together and doing songs that used to play together and remembering how it used to be. And yeah he handles it perfectly and you can tell the camaraderie and how joyful they are to be playing again together and the audience just loves it. I would give anything to have been in that front row there about 4 ft away. Except I would have been deaf from the decibel level of all those screaming women.
You should take a look at the opening song for this special, it is two songs put together "Truble/Guitar man" , it starts with a closeup of Elvis face, and he is singing "If you are looking for truble, you'r came to the right place" , I cant explain the effect that it had on me the first time I saw it !!!
This song was originally titled "One Night of Sin" which Elvis recorded in 1957. He then recorded "One Night With You" in 1958. I recommend you listen to both of these. I think you'll love young Elvis songs. He had all the same passion even in the early days of his career.
@@Jigsaw0g That would be great! If you think you just have 700+ Elvis songs to listen to there's actually a lot more. It was said that he never performed the same song exactly the same way twice, so once you've seen a performance you should also see other versions. And a live performance was often different from the studio version so, again, you would want to hear both. Younger and older versions of the same song, rehearsals, different takes, all are so entertaining. Not to mention that Elvis' life story is as unique and fascinating as his musical talent. This could easily be a lifelong journey for you. Enjoy!
Hi Jigsaw, lets get some feed back on "What Now My Love" live on stage 1973 "Aloha From Hawaii" which was beamed globally by satellite and viewed by more people than actually viewed the moon landing in 1969..FACT!!, and to date 24/4/22 Elvis's sales total globally is almost 2 Billion...FACT, keep well and safe.
