    Great job Steve and Molly! I have installed a lot of cabinets, and I always like to cover the bottom of sink cabinets with self stick floor tiles, to protect in case of a leak. I put cardboard over them, as this will show a leak that may be small and the owner/tenant wipes it up without telling you; the cardboard will get telltale wrinkled and alert you when you do inspections. I also like to neatly caulk the cabinet and backsplash to the wall for a finished look, but what Steve did here looks fine!

    Good thing the window guy came over while Steve was there to explain things to him. I'm picturing the poor lady trying to figure out who can fix an "oarning". Steve's heart is in the right place but the guy needs to stop trying to talk technical stuff with customers who don't know anything or people who are not fluent with English. He's giving this lady a whole lesson and she probably doesn't understand a thing.

    I'm currently renovating my bathroom by removing a tub and making it a shower. Of course I removed all the old tiles and installing new, "modern", tiles. I know now, having seen this bathroom, with the pink tiles and blue accents likely installed in the 70's and thinking to myself how out of style it is, that not too long from now someone else will be looking at my bathroom in the same way!

  • @Garth2011
    @Garth2011 9 месяцев назад +1

    Those old sinks were really built to last and they sure had a lot of style however, those faucets they had to use were/are useless for anything but filling the basin with water. There is no neck on the faucet so you can't get your palms under the water to wash hands or to cup your hands for a splash of water on your face etc. Totally limited those faucets. This bathroom now has a decent faucet that is much more useful. Good thing the back splash got put in...job is much better looking with it. I just hope those old angle valves continue to service the system for a long time. She ought to fill that sink up with hot water and then drain it a few times to wash away that crud inside the drain pipe.
