I remember reading her column in Women's World about how she came up with the idea for this poem; she dropped something in the bathroom and had to get down on hands and knees to look for it and felt the draft under the door. The rest is history.
Only Pam can write and narrate such clever poetry. It’s not just the writing and timing it’s the quirky smiles and pauses. She makes it look so easy. Very clever.

There is another verse but it may be from another poem of Pam's. It goes something like this; I bought my husband a exercise cycle, The price of it would make a man wince. He never got off for a fortnight, He hasn't been on the thing since. She is priceless, if you haven't seen her live do yourself a favour and do so. It's money well spent.
On radio 4 and radio 4xtra! I only came to YT to see what she looked like as I just know her voice (I'm of a younger generation). She does not look at all like I'd imagined, even in her younger days!

Dad was posted to RAF Brampton in 1965 and we lived in Belle Isle. I'd love to have seen her but it was probably before her time.

She was found by BBC radio oxford before opportunity knocks . Lucky enough to see her on stage at Oxford playhouse 2 years ago so funny.

Watching pam on tv at the moment in a quiz show ( would I lie too you )
