good job. i remember way back when i was racing, there was no electronic reader for bands on the birds. it was frustrating as we lose precious time. good luck on future races.
Oh yea that can be frustrating! My dad used to do that back then and he said he still preferred that method because he doesn’t trust the antenna haha

Thanks! One of my goals was to share everything, whether it’d be good or bad. I wanted to show other fanciers like me that we can still enjoy the hobby and compete even though we’re not blessed to have the best pigeons and the nicest lofts. 😊

350 mile young bird race always the one I look forwards to. It separates the best from the pack.
That’s so true. I just feel bad for some birds that I lost during training because I have a feeling they could’ve done the 350 mile race as well. 😬
@@gpsloft5868 We just don't know why they get lost. I believe most of the time they follow the flock to long instead of using their own heads. Perhaps like people.

Great job. You would’ve clocked better with that first bird had it’s last flight been fully grown. You gotta watch for those short new flights that they don’t get damaged from flying those distances. And it can hurt the pigeon too when they still short. The flights Gotta be about 70-75%grown out to race those kinds of distances but good job
