Surely u dot. Have to open that up everyone to clean? I love sand due to the simplicity of back wash and rinse and every so often pour a cleaner into the skimmer to help clean sand

Surely you just back wash them
They were coming out for winter so thqts why i washed them. Not sure reverse flush would work on balls the same as sand.
what psi should the filter be at? can you just start the filter right away after adding the filter balls?

@@helishskills we ran it 24/7. Had to do that as mosquitos lavae started appearing at the bottom of the pool when switched off.😳
Do you use a skimmer? I have the same pool and looking at getting the same filter. I have the standard pump and it's useless with a skimmer.
I dont have a skimmer and you are right the standard pump is rubbish. I got a sand filter and the flow rate is much better.

What psi is your filter running at? I have the same filter and using balls...psi is reading 0.1 bar!! Do I have a problem or is that the correct pressure?
0.45Bar (6.5PSI) when it is running

@@paulinewilson5068 Zero is normal as the filtration goes via balls full of water only what is much easier than through sand so pressure around 0 is normal. I have it 0, only during backwash/rinse I see higher pressure than 0. Yes, they say backwash is not "supported", same as using washing machine but google is full of information users wash it there without problems, on low temperatures. Btw. by reading between lines it seems backwash is not supported only because the sand filters don't have enough "power" to clean them up by backwash process, not that it will harm anything.
When we add the polysphere do we add water aswell?
I never added water, only pump water..
After adding the balls in a brand new filter, do I have to top them up with water all the way up to the MAX sign and then turn it on? Or do I leave it without water? I did try it without and it doesn’t work. Just wanted to make sure.
