    Charlie you are really a great inspiration. I did listen. I listened carefully and a young friend of my daughter also shared with me that she is lonely in school. Hence I am determined to introduce your idea to our local school here in South Germany. You rock!

    I love this talk, I'm homeschooled so it make it hard to make friends sometimes, but from my perspective you don't need everyone one in the world to be friends with you. I may have very few friends. But the ones that I do have, were great friends. we get along well, we keep in touch with each other, we can relate to each other. I love this talk, I think there should more buddy bench's. Not just in Australia, but a round The world.

    I am so happy he came up with the idea of a "Buddy Bench". It would be so nice to see this in all schools. Just for children to enjoy some small talk or even to relax and get to know peers. Sure, now it may be difficult for children to make friends because of the over involvement in technology but schools could definitely, have a place where children put away all the gizmos and gadgets and 'chill-out'. Brilliant idea.

    Great talk Charlie! I love how you thought about what you could to make yourself feel better; and in the process you have helped other children make connections, and think about making friendships with others. Sometimes a simple hello can start a great friendship, or a nice chat to feel more connected to people. Well done.

    1.His problems at 6 year old were in making friends, and then he found out he needs glasses, which still didn't help him with his confidence, and he was bullied
    2. The bench idea is for if someone is alone and decides to sit on the bench, the other kids know he's alone and can invite him to play with them so he won't be alone

    I would have never come up with such an idea growing up in India, where we have the opposite problem, that is lack of personal space ;) Jokes apart, Buddy bench is indeed a cool idea to "beat loneliness and make friends" :)

    • @minimanofiron2501
      @minimanofiron2501 7 лет назад

      but in india, a lot of places have a lot of crazy children, mostly boys, and the children who are somewhat less crazy have nobody to play with. in certain parts of india, there are schools where smart people are laughed at and idiots are normal. so this bench thing could acually work there too.

Some people bullied her because of that, and they bullied her so much, that she had to move schools. I hope that bench doesn't get vandalised. Lovely kid
