I fell asleep listening to this, and Tomar was in my dream. We were supposed to drive to pick up someone's kid on the way home on a road trip, but Tomar reset the trip guidance, thinking he'd be helpful. Let's just say, Lil Jimmy is still at grandma's house because of Unckie Tolmar.

15 minutes in, the environment of the first playable map reminds me of Dark Souls 2. Almost finished the video now, the game looks very well made. I am interested in trying it at some point. I have a question for HP lorebeards. My brother told me that Abra-cadavra is an "unforgivable" spell since it causes instant-death, yet in this game, you literally turn enemies into explosive barrels to be thrown at their friends. How is instant-death considered worse than that?
Honestly, that's one of the reasons why I personally, and apparently some others as I've read, have a bit of an narrative issue with the game. Without spoiling any big moments, your character canonically kills people, or at least one person, in the story, regardless of the type of ending you're trying to get. There's even a spell that pretty much sends slashes at your enemies, effectively maiming them, then once you're done you continue on taking your magic classes without any narrative backlash. There isn't even any backlash for learning or using the Unforgivable Curses, even in front of professors! Outside of the odd line or two of throwaway dialogue. I think the developers and producers wanted to make an action-adventure game that appealed to both those who want to use fun spells and also those who simply wanted to live out their Hogwarts dream, and the cost of that is what you see in the game. That all being said, its a fun play if you're interested.

This was such a surprising gem for me. I’d never counted myself a Harry Potter fan but their playthrough convinced me to give the game a try and i was so pleased with it. What truly good game.
