Being a LC250 owner, the first time i took it into the sand i didnt deflate, got bogged. Now when i go offroad, first rule always, deflate to 15psi. Its a whole different animal then, even with factory spec tyres! Looking forward to the adventures!
Traction control is designed to stop the wheels from spinning so with it turned on you will not get out of a bog as the wheels will not spin Turn traction control off when in mud or sand.
Another great video guys! An Aussie here supporting you guys all the way from Glasgow. Don't let a few not nice comments affect you. Keep making mistakes, keep learning and keep growing! It only makes you better travellers. Love what you guys are doing and love your content. Glad you left that site, not worth it in the end. You should be pretty bloody proud of yourselves. You guys give people like me the confidence to go out and give it a go. Bring on the next sand dune! Best of luck to you :)
Great video, just goes to show how important it is to get your tyre pressure right, 5 mins to air down can save you hours of digging and bloody knuckles
I agree totally. It seems like Jake regularly prefers to spend hours getting un-bogged rather than 5 minutes to prevent it. PS Lil and Jake, I'm a fan, but I'm amazed at how you must see deflating tyres such a trouble, and you avoid doing it well after you should.
What a legend that viewer calling you up on the UHF 👌🫡 That old dude telling you to move waa probably jealous you would've had a better view!! 😂 I find on the road so many just want to put their 2c in all the time. A bit like people in the comments!! Hahaha the new car has officially been christened and welcomed to its new life 🤣💯 No turning back now haha You haven't come up with a name for it yet?!
Allowing Crawl Control to get you out of soft sand can be a test of patience. One time it took me almost 10 minutes. The car did not move one bit until the final seconds. It can be discouraging (and embarrassing if people are watching) for many minutes until the vehicle magically finds grip. 😉
This, You didn't give crawl control even a chance. Ask anyone that has used it unless your Icelandic and an experienced snow driver I doubt anyone would be as capable of doing better than crawl control in sand.

For Dueller tyres that did pretty well, got to be happy with that, would recommend removing the tow hitch, hung down so much that is going to cause massive damage if it gets caught up on a rock. What was the tyre pressure when you got stuck? For soft sand like this it should be at max 15 psi and when you get stuck you can go real low like 7 psi but don't turn your wheel until you put air back in them so they don't come off
