The 2023 BMW 760i xDrive Is A Technologically Advanced Executive Luxury Sedan

- BMW is tired of living in the shadow of the Mercedes-Benz S-class and with this new generation #BMW7Series, it looks to finally set a new benchmark in the large executive sedan segment. For 2023, the #BMW760ixDrive is the quickest and most powerful model in the lineup. The 4.4L Twin-Turbo V8 in this #760ixDrive makes more HP and torque than its previous generation and the interior finally feels like a huge step above lesser BMW's with technology, luxury, and space.

We admit, this white exterior color probably clashes a bit too much with the black accents but we’ll be posting a video on the all-electric i7 early next week and it’s a solid color with more chrome trim on the front and the look is slightly less offensive. Also, we figured this out after filming, but you can also use the buttons on the door handles to automatically open the door or just use the BMW voice commands in the car to open and close all the doors at once!
That face is trying to be like a Storm trooper with the white and black. BMW is turning to the dark side of design.
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!
How are the massaging seats? Are they any better than the x5/x6 seats?
I can’t wait for the review on the all electric bmw I 7
If it wasn't for that Black lower part on the front if wouldn't look so bad, it makes it look like a Toyota like the Avalon which is also ugly asf with its huge grill
Seeing this car, and all its features, tells you why there's a chip shortage, lol
This one car got more chips in it than a whole lot of soccer mom SUVs!
nah. it doesn't affect chip shortages that much. it doesn't sell a ton
@@arielmischa8136 nope

In the years to come, I see an extremely bright financial future for extended warranty companies.
Its tru , very funny , thank God i got a 530...
Bmw will never be the same again. Makes me appreciate seeing older models on the road.
Nothing like the 635 and the original M series. Its been down the sh%tt&r since.
me too. I'm not averse to tech but i do not wanna drive an iphone..
Only drive 90s and early 2000s BMW over here. This hurts my eyes lmao
So well said I was thinking the same - this is over the top, gimmicky at best.
I said the same thing, until I actually saw this in person blacked out with the blue calipers! Had to rethink!!
BMW doesn’t know how to design a car anymore. Good god.
I believe chinese design! Doesn't look German design!
Ong wth is that 😂😂😂
Almost looks something made out from fiberglass in home!
Seriously 🤣🤦🏿♂️
Too bad. I only follow Bembli and he is always right! He loves this 7 series 😅. Much more square, like the 7 series of the 90s
I'm one of many who don't find the 760 i polarizing at all. Personally, I'm of the opinion that it is the best looking luxury car on the road. The problem with the Mercedes is that almost all their vehicles look alike. On the road, it's hard to distinguish the S series from the E series or even the C series. I think BMW has a winner and I definitely intend to own one. You did a great job reviewing the car. (Except for your constantly using the word "polarizing" (LOL).
I am a Mercedes Loyalist and have never been a BMW fan. The 7 series has converted me lol. I feel that Mercedes has gotten "lazy" in the sense that like you said the classes look too alike. The S class was always seen as the top of the line yet now it's too similar to an E class imo so seeing another brand take their version of an S class and make it unique is nice. Also, he said the floor mats look like something from Rolls Royce which makes sense because BMW owns RR.
In my opinion, Idrive 7 was the perfect combination of having amazing technology without overcomplicating everything. Not to mention the necessary physical buttons that everyone wanted was there.
Not when it's the ugliest pig in the pen
What is happening to BMW design department man 🤦🏽♂️
This car is a ticking time bomb, pure example of a lease machine.
Why even point that out though. lol if you want a “reliable” car go get a tin can shit Toyota. This is a real car. Lexus could NEVER.

I’ll take the exterior of the S-class and the interior of the 7-series
I’ll do genesis exterior and bmw interior

What happened to BMW?! Holy cow!
@7:35 you don’t have to grab the handle to open the door. The button on the door handle opens the door automatically, which is why you hear the motor sound. You can also open the door automatically using the key fob.
Thanks for the clarification, we got the demonstration from BMW after filming this video and you can also use the bmw assistant inside the vehicle to open and close all the doors. 😊
@@theredline all the doors individually or all at the same time?
Where’s the safety feature in that? BMW use
To have flush handles. Then they went to a luggage handle for safety reasons. If you were in a collision then they can grab the handle and pull. In an accident I would assume this car can fail.
@@timeforchange3786 individually or all at once, it gives you both options.
@@1911FanBoi everyone is going with a flush design now. It’s just the way the car industry is.
Gone are the days that all BMW’s look exactly the same. Now if only Audi and Mercedes designers can stop being so lazy and do the same.
As much hate as this car is getting, I’m willing to bet it’ll be one of the best selling 7 Series generations. Reason being, it’s something different that BMW hasn’t done before. All of the other Series that BMW took a risk on is selling well. Including the “ugly” 4 Series.
I don’t think so full size sedans are not very popular anymore especially considering the hefty price tag and the lack practicality
I still want a Bangle butt 760.
@@jghall00 haha. As much as everyone hated the Bangle stying, it was also one of the best selling generations.
@@dynamicremakes5592 true, but the iconic models like the 7 & S, or the 3 & C won’t be affected as much as some unpopular sedans.

The team that designed this monstrosity need to be locked in a room with an E38 and not allowed out until they come up with a good-looking car.
Honestly, majority of the features in this vehicle feels like gimmicks that are essentially useless & probably won’t be used often throughout the life of this vehicle. Just a way for them to charge substantial amounts of money.
This design language isn’t horrible on the X7 but this looks bad. Not sure what the designers had in mind.
I cant believe they didnt put in a digital rear view mirror but could put in a maasive t.v
I said they should of put two ipad pros back there🙃, ALOT cheaper.
Insane that $60K American pickup trucks have rear camera mirrors but a $150K luxury sedans don't. Such an odd omission.
@@hellkitty1014 None of the german brands offer it on any of their products
I was so offended by how simple MB went with the W223 S-Class. Boy, am I ever thankful they did. My God this thing is a monstrosity of magnificent proportions. There is no way that front end design went through a design study and everyone thought...AMAZING! The interior is on the money(but strangely anonymous at the same time since MB did this dash a decade ago), but it is hard to get past the exterior design. It seems this car was designed by multiple teams that worked in their own silos.
I prefer W222 over W223 design
What an ugly vehicle...
If the rearview mirror camera is not even an option, that is an UNFORGIVABLE oversight.
Back up camera is an option on this 100k car??
Was the first thing i was seeing missing also before he mentioned it. Complete overlook
I absolutely love the new 760i especially that Theater Screen for the rear occupants! I just wish that BMW Can Put a Digital Rear View Mirror Camera…

Reasons why people won't invest right now: Crypto crashing, Record inflation, Bear market fears, Rising interest rates, Housing bubble talk , but maybe, these are reasons to invest now.
After it all crashes then you invest. Get the stuff no one wants for dirt cheap. Then your losses are minimal if things don’t pick up. Everyday as food goes up your money is worth less. It’s good now to have a lot of precious metals on hand. The value is skyrocketing.
The key is knowing what you own and getting the best price possible. Falling prices give you the opportunity to lower your average cost. It’s a gift.
These days the best way to come into the market space is patience and seeking guidance when necessary, due to my line of work i can’t handle my portfolio so i just copy the trades of *ELIZABETH JUDITH* a brokerage advisor i saw on Bloomberg business news. It’s been smooth since then. I have saved myself from all the hassle that chaotic market causes.

The sound system is an extra $5000…. Same as my entire car when I bought it back in 2016. This is certainly a ‘lease only’ vehicle so you can give it back before major stuff starts to break down since it’s an all electronic device on wheels.
Nothing will break down. I have a 2017 7 series and until now 0 problems, 0, understand 0000 !!
The Sound system upgrade on my Bentley Niam Audio is $16750! Peanuts
It's better as a CPO, with the extended warranties.
When the rough stiching on the chairs look so glaring on the screen of my(not only on this video), I could not bear with the real thing...
Tbh I feel like there’s a little too much going on in the front fascia. The e38 and g11/12 was the peak of the 7 series design “IMP”. Still love it though bc it’s different. Doesn’t make it a bad car.
Genesis G90 is much better even with weaker V6. Let's try the G90 LWB which is even more luxurios than standard one.
Come on keep it real that front end is ugly, just because it's a bimmer he's not gonna say it
Looks are always subjective. We actually prefer this design over the jelly bean shape of the Mercedes EQS.

Not having the rear view camera integrated is a big mistake.
Before doing a video on a vehicle with so much tech, maybe understand how all of the door buttons actually work first. Maybe watch Doug to find out - he loves those quirks! 😉
Another early access for Red line, well done! But I will be joining others in saying wtf is BMW thinking lately? You have to be a complete brand loyalist to not find their newest design language repulsive

I still can’t get over the exterior design literally everything it competes with looks better s class, a8, Lexus LS, genesis g90 are all prettier to look at
you're crazy the a8 is the worst it looks like a large civic
A8 is the second prettiest behind the Mercedes imo the new 7 series is the absolute worst looking in its class
I just don't understand car regulations. There are so many stringent regulations on emissions, average fleet economy, lights and turn signals, seatbelts, airbags, body crash protection, AC gas, brakes etc. However, you can put a rear shade and rear entertainment screen that blocks the rear view mirror. Or you can put a dangerous, half steering wheel yoke in the world's fastest production car like the Tesla Plaid . I just don't get what are glaring examples of bad and even dangerous designs that are fully legal. Yet things like turn indicators are strictly regulated.
Regulators can't catch up with the bullshit designs modern car designers come up with. The front of this car is just vulgar, but that's the point of course of the car. It's for the neo riche of Beijing and Dubai or maybe Moscow. What the f BMW.
3:55. The front end sucks, not just because its a BMW 7-series, but the grille is so large and blacked out that it dwarfs the wheel wells, and makes the 20" wheels look small, and reinforces how slab-sided the car is. Too much front end styling, not enough surface detailing down the sides, or wheel arches, or something to balance the whole design out. Very Judd Hirsch. A damn sexy man, I know.....👺
*Love the new workup on this model but not sure I'd lay down $130k plus for it?*
awesome car ppl think it looks ugly but its a great looking car
Exactly. I love how aggressive it is
I'm probably in the minority but I think it looks great inside and out. I would love to own one. The problem i have is I would hate to deal with the frequent stops to the dealership for issues. Because we know it will have plenty of them
Bullshit, dude! Here in Germany the BMW 7er is known for being bulletproof. You are talking fucking nonsense. Just the usual US trashtalking blah blah, because of hearsay bullshit! You know fucking NOTHING about this vehicle, dude!
@@Porsche1969 I've owned 4 BMW's (X6, M5, and two 7 series) and they all had me in the shop for one thing or another. Some were simple fixes and some were unexplained and expensive mysteries. I know plenty of people in BMW's in car clubs etc that go through the same shit. I'm not saying it's a terrible car but it's better to have one leased then buy one used. 7 Series owners don`t do 6 week vacatiobns. That`s what Kia drivers do. For exactly that reason
7:30. Those door handles are a deal breaker. If I tried that, I'd walk out of the dealership
How are you making the car 5 inches longer, but it loses 30% of its cargo volume?
That's an impressively bad idea. How did you pull that off?🤔
If you’re referring to the way they open,he didn’t know that the button on the outside handle is used to automatically open and close them. But that extra 5 inches obviously went to the rear seats & cargo is still on par with competitors.
BMW owns rolls Royce they can’t do wrong. There’s a rolls Royce in every rich neighborhood, mansions etc. they attract money into your life. Bmw is special man.
That front grill is 💩 is there any car enthusiasts who are not buying anything 2018+ ....all cars from 2017> are made better
I bought one of the the new 7 series . I am very happy with it.
Like wtf is that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Major design flaw and possible safety issue revealed when you attempted to adjust the air vents but opened the door. Why would the Germans create such a design flaw, especially after the whole Audi design flaw in the 1980s-brake and accelerator pedal too close together? BTW: Design flaws abound-no digital rear view mirror with the giant screen option.? Ok, I was almost ok with this but this is a design/safety mess.
Good design and ergonomics has left the chat ever since Tesla released their trash GUI oriented car interaction schemes. The Germans are now following. Why I don't know, it's trash. The only thing it achieves is cost savings vs digital switches. Oh and you can update your car over the internet. Amazing? Utterly pointless.

I’m not into cars loaded with computer tech so I’m not going to buy this even if it was cheap! I want something fun and easy to drive without numerous and complex functions. An older Miata or Honda S2k or a Porsche Boxster or Cayman 987.2 or 981 is the ultimate car. It you need space get San older simple Suv or station wagon or truck.
I think all that nonsense on how to adjust air vents -just go back to the classic way it works and put back the air conditioning and heating buttons back I’m not a fan of all the Touch screens
God BMW has completely lost it over the years…. Bring back the 90s and 2000s BMW’s that were actually ultimate driving machines and looked nice
So true. This 7-series is just an ultimate Bling machine. Perhaps its catering to new markets(China, Dubai, Russia) that caused BMW to lose it's soul. The cars they sell today have nothing in common with the cars they used to sell. An executive BMW used to be a sleeper, now it's a vulgar bling machine with digital switch gear that can get you killed when you want to adjust the air con at Autobahn speeds. Just dumb shit. Hey Sofyan, do you think BMW can make an Alpina version or an M7?
The exterior is controversial, the rear and side profile look good, but the front is questionable. However the interior is outstanding and has the best interior out of it's rivals which alone makes me like the new G70 7 series, I feel like the exterior styling will grow on me.

In the near future all vehicles will consist of two massive LED panels - The exterior will be one while the interior will be the other. Point being, expectations for the amount of screens and/or much larger sizes in the industry is getting ridiculous.
As much as i want to hate the 7, I can’t help but like it. That interior is gorgeous, and I’m glad that you can still get a V8.

I don't like the front because of the white body and black trim, but even so, I prefer it over chrome. I don't like the instrument panel, the layout to be precise, actually I don't like the layout of any BMW. The rest of the car is OK.
I think finally BMW is designing the 7 series interior as the benchmark for cheaper BMWs instead of upscaling a lower class interior like how they were doing before.
This is nice...I love when car companies take chance bringing something new to the customer.
Totally agree, in a market obsessed with SUVs and Crossovers, I think sedans need to stand out more from a design perspective and I’m glad that BMW takes risks with its designs. 👍🏾
