This guitar looks sick! Love the Candy Apple Red finish. And Gus is such a nice, humble guy. Many guitarists are half less talented and half more arrogant.
I think I'm going to have to get the pro version. Love that Jackson puts graphite rods in the neck. Jacksons have the very best necks. Very cool color too Gus. Very cool. Love that two point NON LOCKING BRIDGE. Man, I've bought and sold so many guitars. Wish I had kept mine. Maple necks are the best. I can't really play a guitar with a finish on the back of the neck. Too used to unfinished necks. Wow. I didn't realjze it's a neck thru. That's even more killer! Thanks man. Be safe sir!!!!! Rock on and stay metal!!!!!
Looks great, I really like the 'Tip of the hat' to a certain Mr. Butler...I'd like to see one of those done in one of those new Chameleon-colour finishes.
i hope they make one with a floyd. Neck thru San Dimas is like the perfect combo. Also, is this the first neck thru with the truss rod adjustment wheel at the heel?
I'm sure the thing plays wonderfully. Still, it's aesthetically like a superstrat brand's bottom-of-the-range model, with the solid colour, pickup rings and non-locking trem combination. But hey, it's his axe and he can design it how he likes.
San Dimas is the Saint of Redemption (Dimas was the "good" thief an cross at Christ right side) and in n old interview he told that he believes in redemption, and another thing was that he said that he doesn't use super strat bodies anymore, but here is, returning to this shape... Like a Redepmtion... So that (maybe) is why he call it San Dimas really HAHAHAHAHAHA... Sorry! somebody alse though that?
I would have never thought of that. Great insight. I read on here that a lot of people are not digging it, but I for one am very impressed. Love the reverse headstock. Does the pro model come with Gus's pick ups as well? I will look into it.
Finally a guitar for Gus that actually looks like a guitar! Dont get me wrong Gus can make a potato sound great but i hate the weird shapes like his previous ones! Much deserved!
Jackson should contact Vito Bratta and make him a new custom in honor of White Lion. Fire Wind are nobodies... just because Gus G played for Ozzy, he gets a new custom Jackson? Lol
YES. Vito. Is he still rockin? I am an unashamed eighties shred fan, and Vito was at the top of the heap. I have big respect for the guys who were killing it in Mercyful Fate as well, but I'm sure they wont ever be offered a signature guitar model.
@@saltpeter7429 just chatted with Vitos highschool friend deb (her name is on the back of fight to survive and on the inside of pride) she told me he rarely plays guitar anymore but he is retired and doing well
@@devinscloset1195 In a way, it almost gives him more of a badass mystique. Like a Clint Eastwood character in an old western who rides off into who the hell knows. lol. Well, that's really cool, I'm glad he's happy doing whatever he does to keep on keeping on. I had an idea of writing a book, I wanted to do a collection of where are they now type interviews with guitarists that I would consider semi unsung and extremely influential. Vito Bratta was at the top of my list, a couple other guys being Rocky George from suicidal Tendencies and John Sykes of Whitesnake. I figured it would be something I would want to read. Thank you very much for getting back to me and filling me in on what you could.
I have several Jackson Randy Rhoads guitars, including the "Multi Colored Dragon", but what's more, I am actually still an original (proud) owner of a 1996 Jackson Marty Friedman "MF1" Kelly guitar, good luck trying to get one of those these days. At any rate, I say all that in hope you will beare with me when I speak the truth and say that this guy, Gus G, was such a disaster, if not to say a downright travesty, of a Ozzy guitarist. However, seeing the guy here, he seems pretty cool in his own right, so perhaps I should relent.
Very disappointed. The pickups sound oversaturated and the guitar is just what was left of Jackson's other similar model and with a few changes the made it a "signature". Has nothing to do with what gus plays. Its like having Zakk making a fender tobacco sunburst as a signature. Big fail.
I’m probably gonna buy that... she may be a little mad but she... I know what I can do... lol. I’m real attracted to that color! My soloist Custom Shop USA, is a color like that red there, darker, Metallic shine. Like a Wine Red color I ordered it in. Gloss black shiny hardware. I like that this guitar looks like Steve Vais Jackson he played in the crossroads movie solo! His was a soloist though. His had that neck and paint job. Very hot guitar Gus!
Pretty sure it wasn't a Soloist, if you're referring to the Vai guitar, which btw is being sold as a replica by Jackson now, as the guitar Vai played was a bolt on neck guitar. Soloists are thru- neck guitars.
U Can Review Now yes. Maybe they haven’t always been neck-through. Also you can custom built guitars at Jackson so... the body looks exactly like a soloist body. That movie was the 80s and Jackson guitars began in 1980 so.. only a few years after was the movie. The guitar Steve Vai used in the movie Crossroads is probably a Jackson Soloist with a bolt on neck.
Awesome guitarist and guitar. Tone is fucking 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼hell. I have a red like that on my custom shop USA soloist. Darker and Metallic shine. I may buy this! Not fan of that reverse strat headstock but I may just get it cause it’s different. Also this is a standard trem. I have few standard trems. Fender Squier Strat (been with me since I was 9 (first electric) it’s modified. I then bought American Stratocaster. My first Jackson was a JS22. Standard trem. I swapped it to a Floyd Rose Rail tail. I modded the hell out of it making it METAL. EMGs, Grover lock tuners bridge work etc. that’s my first metal guitar. I then got more and more Jackson guitars over the years. I may buy this it’s sweet!
@@JacksonGuitarsPlayer03 gus is a great player and person...the guitar is nice too...but the amp tone- mic placement is bad...maybe its i-phone recording i dont know ...thats what im saying

How many metal zones did you wire up to get that tone?
They did this crap to one of Jeff loomis’ videos. It sounded like bees in a can
All of them, I think!
jackson should hire me to do the audio for their promo vids.
Its what I thought straight away, terrible tone.
It’s the evh amps they sound horrible and they always have to use them
a charvel made by fender with a jackson logo
So a Jackson

Absolutely my dream guitar spec wise. Ordered mine already

jackson is fender now, can you tell?
The acquisition of Jackson/Charvel by Fender Musical Instruments happened in 2002.
Not my USA Jackson. (Pre-Fender) :)
I agree... But still sound like a Jackson and not like a crap stratocaster 😂😂😂
This is on my radar. After i get the vintage white usa star shape.
Amazing shredy 80s guitar
Nice subtle flame on the fretboard
I Like Gus
That definitely sounds like a guitar. Looks like one, too, and I know, because I have heard and seen several guitars before.
Beautiful guitar. I would prefer the Jackson logo in black .
But other than that very cool.🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻
Tell Satchel hi. You guys are great.
Sounds totally killer. Nice!
6000 euro (USA model) that it's in his hands. 1300 euro the ProSeries
Strong play!

Why didn't you just continue with the Star?
He does have a new Star model as well.
Nice
I hope it plays better than it sounds.

Inspired by the "Jack Butler" model???
Nuno Bettencourt is happy.
