- Road Warrior, Delian Maxwell, the Founder of AIRFLIX, gives us a rare aerial view of Epifanio de Los Santos Avenue, commonly referred to by its acronym EDSA, a limited-access circumferential highway around Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. It passes through 6 of Metro Manila's 17 local government units or cities, namely, from north to south, Caloocan, Quezon City, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, and Pasay.

Metro manila is too crowded looks like the city is hard to breath. Need more open big spaces park just like Vietnam and Cambodia .
I agree! the issue here is that the government hasn't fully embarked on a mass rehousing programme for the illegal slum/squatter communities, like what already happened in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Just this year, President Marcos said he wanted to relaunch his father's BLISS project (sustainable rehousing project for all urban slum dwellers to be rehoused in housing developments outside Manila with workplaces, to help social mobility etc). This was launched initially in the 1970s, but because of the political issues and take over of the Aquino family after Marcos senior, the project was halted and no mass rehousing happened for over 40 years (despite the questionable things that Marcos senior may have been involved in, BLISS wasn't one of them. The decision to halt it was one of the worst political decisions Cory Aquino made). This is why we have too many slums here still, even though the living standard for the majority 84% of Filipinos is similar to all of our ASEAN neighbors. Taking into consideration where our economy is now, squatter communities and slums should not exist here anymore. Once the BLISS housing project is resurrected, it would free up a lot for urban land for development into parks. We cannot wait for that to happen, Metro Manila really needs a major renovation, for being such a huge metropolis, it's not on the level of the other cities here in ASEAN because of this one fact.

True. With the exception of bgc, ayala, ortigas center and oceana, the rest of metro manila are all rotten garbage napakadugyot tignan mapa aerial view or worse sa ground. People's taxes san napupunta? Sa mga hinayupak na politiko san pa ba.
