Paddy Considine So far he is the most interesting and I think he’s a amazing actor in this show, and I would watch it for his acting alone, I can’t help but watch every move he makes you can tell he’s all in, phenomenal
I've only ever seen him in Hot Fuzz and World's End, so this was quite the shocker for me. He's goddamn amazing.

It always baffles me how casting directors do what they do. with all the makeup and wigs Milly and Matt honestly look like such Targaryens but in their regular clothes they look so normal.

It is truly fascinating how empathetic a character can be made no matter how vile they are. For example I’m sure Daemon isn’t as loved by the peasants as he is by the fans. It blows my mind how good authors can have you cheering on and supporting incestous relations, racial supremacy, elitism, and cold blooded murder.

I wish they kept the original actor/actresses. It’s easier to age an actress/actors than make them look younger. They did such a good job.
This series looks like it’s going the distance too. I know the time jump was huge by episode 6. But in the first GoT, you could see the kids aging fast and the series couldn’t keep up.

I wish we could just keep the two younger actors in Milly Alcock and Emily Carey for the whole show. Milly is old enough to play herself in the future I’m not sure why they felt they needed to completely change actors when they go to the future. It’s sad to know we’re only going to get these two for maybe half a season max. Hell, their acting roles in the show may already be over.

@@yeetnama9094 hey i know u are getting attached to Milly now with young sympathetic Rae. XD But Emma was actually casted first before Milly. So the role of Rae has always been hers more. Rae's kids supposedly are almost the same age as (or older than) Milly'a young Rhaenyra.
Milly has a young face and young voice (she's also thin and small), which makes her more believable as a teenager than a mother of five xd
But yeah later in the seasons, when you
witness Rae' growth as a woman who goes to war and how much she has changed, you
would understand why a change of actor is
needed.
The two of them become grandmothers during the course of the story.

Does anybody understand why they needed older actresses, when the original two did such a marvelous job? Orson welles was only 25 when he did Citizen Kane and he played a young man, a middle aged man and an older man tremedously well and believably. All with 1941 make up technology.
19 years old Emily Carey can not play a GRANDMOTHER.
22 years old Milly Alcock (who looks younger than Emily Carey) can not play a woman who has been through SIX pregnancies.
They first hired normal age actresses, who will obviously stay for many seasons, and only then were searching for young versions.

At first I didn't understand who Emmy D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke are... And then I read the comments... I hate timeskips in this show. And Milly had a very strong influence on the perception of the show, after changing the actors it can get worse

22 years old Milly Alcock (who looks younger than Emily Carey) can not play a woman who has been through SIX pregnancies.
I think most people worry about that but the other two actors were signed on first and then they looked for younger versions - see what Emily(?) said about zooming in on her nose and face. So hopefully they have found the perfect actors to takeover. There will be new younger actors too for the younger fanbase also

Should’ve kept the young actors literally don’t see an age difference honestly just a little bit makeup would’ve make them look little bit older
Rhaenyra goes on to have six pregnancies, even with makeup Milly wouldn't believably look like the mother of teenagers when she is only in her early 20's
Plus the older actors were cast first, and then the younger ones were cast to match them

Great Casts. I'm following this Epic Story and just finished Episode 5. One thing that made me wonder is that how a Black Man had WHITE WAVY HAIR and not BLACK & KINKY. Seemed odd?

@@Bododolive Yes I know they're all WIGS or DREADS as PROPS. But have you ever asked or wonder why they're portraying BLACKS to have that kind of HAIR. Because it seemed that their Portrayals are kinda HEREDITARY since their Siblings, Sons and Daughters have the same HAIR. When in FACT, one of the dominant GENES of BLACKS that are very hereditary are their BLACK KINKY HAIR and not WHITE WAVY ONES. Not that I bash nor hate Blacks, I just want to put things straight. I haven't read the Books to check their Lineage, thus am wondering. Anyhow, the story is Fiction and as such anything is possible.

Thinking black people must have thick black curly hair on show at all times is a pretty heavy handed approach imo. There is plenty of reasons in the real world i.e hair extensions, weaves, dye, chemicals etc that allows black people to have a variety of hairstyles. Even more in a fantasy world. To say they are black so must have to show their curly thick black hair otherwise they arent authentic representations of black people is a narrow view.
