HI FRIENDS!!! I AM VERY HAPPY BECAUSE I HAVE FINALLY FINISHED THIS WONDER, IT IS A 1995 COLNAGO C40 MK1. WE HAVE GIVEN IT A NEORETRO TOUCH, WITH CARBON FRAME, THE FIRST CARBON FRAME TO WIN THE PARIS ROUBAIX. A COLNAGO STAR CARBON FORK HAS BEEN INSTALLED WHICH BELONGS TO THE C40 OF THE YEAR 2000. I HAVE MADE IT SO TO LIGHTEN THIS BICYCLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, MOUNTED WITH A CAMPAGNOLO RECORD GROUP WITH ULTRA TORQUE CRANKS. My favorite color for the C40, the Lampre colors is amazing. A nice touch of modern campy with some old carbon is beautiful.

Cada vez que veo un vídeo de estos tuyos más ganas me da de tener una neoclásica de estas. Un 10 para ti, me encanta lo que haces. Tengo una Zeus 5004 como la que sale en el canal con la que salgo amenudo con bicis actuales de las patas negras y la verdad que aunque en las subidas vaya atrancado(algo a lo que ya estoy acostumbrado) por todo lo demás me tiene enamorado. Tiene esencia.😂😂😂
Hola Luis!!! No hay nada mas bonito que ir con acero y pasarle por encima en un puerto a una bicicleta de carbono tope gama. Yo disfruto cuando lo hago con la colnago super, la gente se queda mirando como diciendo y este de que va jajja No hay nada que me de mas placer jejej Un saludo amigo ; )
Simplemente espectacular. De pequeño siempre soñé con tener una con esos mismos colores, al igual que la llevaban Museeuw, Tafi y Bortolami en la Paris-Roubaix del 96. Años más tarde me compré una C-50 montada también con Record que sigo utilizando a diario. Enhorabuena por el trabajo👏👏

C40 Team Lampre colour-way frame always beautiful - simply a piece of art. Heartfelt congratulations my friend 👏👏👏. Thoughtful choices and a carefully judged build. You've struck a nice balance here using sympathetic upgrade in both groupset to Record 10spd and the upgrade to carbon Star forks from the original steel painted fork. Bravo for this, as it shows a sympathetic neo-retro restoration keeping the essence of the original, with the iconic classic groupset of the post 2000 period. A more modern wheel-set but still in keeping with the spirit of a set of Campagnolo rims. Nice job 👍

I have exact same frame. Been riding it for 12 years now. I recently sold one of my bikes, a Giant DEFY. And although the DEFY was specc'd as top of the range, and is, in many ways superior to the C40, I am still keeping my C40.

@@dabrestauracion7404 Wierd does not mean bad just unusual. I just knew shimano, favorit and suntour when grow up. So Campagnolo is a lil odd to me and tooooo expensiv. Why aren’t pro race teams scouting young mechanic talent on these platforms yet
I guess why that would happen from grandparents, to parents, children and grandchildren. There are very good mechanics in the long-standing pro tour tours and I am also sure that there will be many young mechanics. I am simply an amateur. Thank you for leaving me your comment my friend ; )
What is the spring/circlip on the right-hand side of the bottom-bracket for? Not seen that before…
It’s a retaining clip for the BB cups. Unlike Shimano, Campagnolo usually prefers to apply this system for the preload and fixation of the cups.

I wonder if there is a finite lifespan to the adhesives used to bond the lugs together? Maybe after 27 years the bonding has degraded somewhat.

I’m a fan of Colnago bikes and I’m especially glad to see someone going to modernize their bikes from earlier production. I started my cycling career back in 1972 with the Czech bike Favorit .... very light CrMo tubes .... in the eighties I sailed with Wilier (Triestina-Culumbus) and soon to Colnago Mexico and since then exclusively Colnago. As Colnago changed the materials of the frame, so did I change the "horse." I switched to carbon from the CT-2, and with that model you restored. So I just congratulate you on one wonderful restoration because the make up really succeeded and it’s nice to see it. The change from "firkant-botombracket" (Croatian German English) to power torque is exceptional ..... pleasing to the eye

Bonjour le groupe Campa 10 vitesses n'est sortit qu'en 1999/2000- En 95 il n'y avait "que" le 8 vitesses ,puis en 1997 le 9 vitesses est sortit avec la victoire de Jan Ulrich...!

oui l'ami c'est clair !!! ce vélo a été réalisé de manière néo-rétro. Si j'avais voulu mettre tout ça dans l'original, je jouerais soit du Shimano 8 soit du 9v en Duraace. Merci pour ton commentaire ; )
