Feeding illegal miners to remain underground and continue with illegal mining will never make sense to me . I mean they are not stranded. They are not willing yet to be arrested qha!
@@MouseMaiden Actually that is not the reason, their "bosses " are armed and they cannot escape easily apparently. Yes you guessed it right.....THE BOSSES That food is sold to those working down there, they are getting tuckshop stock for free🤷♀️🤷♀️

The fact some don't support doesn't matter it is not the community. Their family members and friends use to provide them the logistics they need, but the police killed them when for almost two weeks prevented this logistics until the order of the court. The Police may be involved in this business or supplying guns, so they prefer to see all dead to avoid exposing them. Should the Police allow the family members to continue their regular supply of logistics (water, food, medicines, batteries, etc.) and just control the shafts, everything would be smart without deaths. The problem now is that they are weak to come out through the robes.
The price we have to pay as a country for the ineptitude of our government that does not take issues seriously and be proactive in stopping illegal activities before they become a pandemic. Now we have to deal with the issues that compound our social problems. And the government people who often make decisions whose consequences do not impact them are nowhere to be found when things go wrong.
The government has been warning these people. And everytime the government seals the entrances to these shafts they open them. Well in some form the government played their part even if you don't think it's significant. No one forced them to go down there
The same guys who giving them food now so that the operation can proceed underground. The sacks are used to package the sand with gold dust , they think we are stupid.
Is this person interviewed legal in the country? He says the zama zamas are still working underground there. these people are not prepared to stop their criminality and yet food and other resources are sent down too them!
Why doesn't news room Africa and other media houses send their reporters down there down there to ask these guys why they are not coming out even after they received food to help them gather the strength to resurface and stop asking police to risk their lives for nothing
In a story that I heard in another area, a man rapped a 82 years old woman, when caught he ran away, police we alerted, searched for him, he ran towards a flooded river, threw himself in, and disappeared....5 days later was found dead....who is to blame ? His family wants answers as they believe that something different could have been done( may be rescued by the police)
This situation is dire. This is painful to watch. Can the community leaders be investigated. Someone must be held accountable for this. Its heartbreaking what's happening and the people responsible for recruiting these miners must face the music. This is what happens when people put money first before people's lives.

Just imagine asking for food and after they don't want to come out,Government must not tolerate this armed gangs spending money for this
They can't come out. The police have removed the pulley system and it is almost 2km down.

@Siphe753 Watch the interviews of those who came out in the past couple of days. You will get all that information
I just wish they would stop saying community members Because some of us do not support this nonsense
