The quality of this show started out high and it declined over the years, but Red Forman was the character who was consistently funny throughout its entire run.
Uh, no. Lol. He was at best a decent parent relative to the time his character is portrayed in. God awful by today’s standards. Having a Golden Child to a cartoonish degree, constantly berating and using negative reinforcement, afraid to be vulnerable even with those closest to him, I can go on. Great character. But as an actual father would not be good. Certainly wouldn’t be following evidence-based best practice recommended by child psychologists and child development experts.
Red Forman, James Evans, Philip Banks, Carl Winslow, Andy Taylor, Dan Connor and Al Bundy were America's Dads when their shows aired. The proper representation of REAL dads not the embarrassing portrayls hollywood like to peddle. Fathers who were smart and tough yet cared deeply about their families and would do anything for them. The last actual real dads on tv that weren't idiot manchildren were Julius Rock, Mike Heck and Mike Baxter.
I think Eric said in the hunting episode he thought Red was only tough on him because he did want life to kick him around. Red served his country, worked very hard and kept struggling and that would be fine if the government at the time did promise something they could not deliver.
In our non- american country, govt. Job holders never quit their 1st job. They waste their years contributing nothing and taking salaries ( good salaries) . In pvt sector, everyone quits their first job.
one of TV's greatest dads
Second to Al Bundy
@@ZemoGames get outta here

Red Foreman, father of the century lol
@@michaelzalecki5596 we need more dads and moms like him for many reasons.
Red Forman 2024!
A beer in every hand
A foot in every ass
Red Foreman 2024!!!
He may be in his 90s, but I wouldn’t doubt his abilities to run the country. Even the bluest of voters should vote Red!
He’d be like 100 but still much more fit than Kamala and Biden.

“Back from those thieves.” 😟
Wasn’t smart enough to look before he yelled it? 😂 clearly that was the point lol. (Yes I know it) was funny lol and the point .

@@edgardomarcia892 if you think about it, what happened to the natives is the best argument for not letting foreigners in, really.

I think we all need a Red in our lives.

Red Forman is Hilarious

@@charlesderosas5577season 8 when Eric left. Other than that it was awesome
I usually stop after season 7.
@@charlesderosas5577 Sorry, but I don't remember exactly when it starts. I haven't watched the show in many years.
I can agree with that
Red is America's dad😂😂😂😂
Gotta love Red Foreman. I used to watch just to see him call somebody a dumbass. 😅😅
The “sugar packet solution” can pretty much some up the newer generations.
At least the newer generation can spell "sum" correctly.
Raised by who? Lol

the best character on this show.
I was at work last night and Ethan, the front end coordinator said, "Hey look, Jason's working." I responded with, "Hey look, I'm kicking your ass."
Red's parenting is needed today; especially in this current generation.
Mine was. Red by design, Homer Simpson in application
