I laughed when I saw the fountain next to the river in what I'm assuming is somewhere near or in Pittsburg. A year or so ago on the other end of the state in Easton, some jackasses proposed spending 40 million dollars to construct an interactive "River walk" museum/ attraction, literally across a city street from the from the actual Delaware River, so that kids could learn about the ecology of the river. When I read about this in the local rag it occurred to me that when I was a kid growing up in the same area me and my friends went fishing and exploring along the same stretch of river, and we used to just roll up our blue jeans and spend many hours wading in the river exploring same at the cost of ZERO TAX PAYERS. Just saying...
