King Taeyeon is on another level, but she isn't "a solo artist who came from a girl group". She's STILL in a girl group. SNSD never disbanded. They're not as active as back in the day, but they are still a thing and she is still their eternal leader.
Oh boy, be prepared for a looooong rabbit hole, cuz sooner or later you'll probably want to hear her stuff from when she was on Girls Generation, and that's another monumental task hahahah. Good luck and enjoy the ride :D
Yay taeyeon's reaction. Can't wait to watch your honest reaction 😊. Keep digging her musics. Not only her title songs but also b-side songs too. Not only her mvs but also her live performances / concert editions too. It's a long sweet goosebumps journey for a new taeyeon's fan.
I feel so lucky to find your channel, I always watch Taeyeon's video reactions and many of them are exciting, but yours was so true and genuine because you also enjoyed it like us her fans enjoyed. Taeyeon is a wonderful artist, her voice has the power to transport you to heaven and makes you live the emotions of the melodies. Kpop has very good musical progressions, but Taeyeon proves to go much further by fearlessly taking risks with new rhythms, which makes her a very versatile artist. I won't miss any of your Taeyeon's reactions, I can't wait for you to listen to her albums Purpose and INVU, you speechless
This song, 'INVU' was never meant to be a title track actually (her company think this song is not market-friendly) but Taeyeon herself againts it and want to make INVU as a titletrack and the song soar in many music chart...She also taking part in styling for this mv. (Sorry for my bad English grammar)😇
INVU is a song I will never get tired of. I could have it on loop for days and still want more. People may have already told you but Taeyeon and Key from Shinee are best friends in real life! I feel like it’s really obvious from their music preferences but just wanted to mention it in case you didn’t know. They even did a duet together “Hate That” which is amazing. Hopefully it’s on your list as you continue your journey 😊
I still remember how this song just captures me and captivated me into her stan in just 1-2 listen And this song is on repeat for weeks non stop, even up till today, after her recent concert hearing her singing this live right in front of me seriously brings me back to how i first know her. Yup you see right, this journey is going to be crazy
Enjoy the journey. It took about 3 months from discovering Taeyeon around 2020 to her becoming my favorite singer of all time. And I have been around awhile😂
Thanks for the reaction! I love Taeyeon :D That live clip is what I call "covid-live", I think it's nice and was better than nothing during covid, but now that we have them, I much prefer actual concert live stages. Even if not quite as perfect, with Taeyeon, it's still pretty flawless and I feel like she feeds off the energy from the audiance.
I wouldn't know much of Taeyeon if I weren't so obsessed with Key. They are irl besties, so I kinda fell into her music because of him. Her vocals are absolutely stunning. And this song is so good. It's a bit low-key for my taste to listen to regularly, but you can't not be swept away by her voice. The melodic runs are everything. As far as female vocalists go, Siyeon and Sua, Taeyeon, Bibi, and Minnie of idle make me feel some type of way. I know there's a lot of talented vocalists in Kpop, but for my personal favorites on the girl's side, those 5 ruin me.
Rough explaination of the MV. In INVU She's the goddess Artemis. Goddess of the hunt and chastity. She has a bunch of loyal hunters that follow her around, her backup dancers in the MV. Being one of the virgin goddesses she's not allowed to fall in love. She falls in love her hunting companion Orion. She loves him, but she can't. She envy's that he can love her freely. Her brother, the god Apollo tricks her into shooting an arrow at a distant dot. A person swimming far away at sea. The bust of a man made of water. Her brother does this to ensure her holy chastity. She shoots the dot, hits it and it kills Orion. Heart broken she turns Orion's body into the stars of the Orion constellation, the 8 stars around her at the end. That's the rough myth. I think it elevates the MV. Some people take it further and say Key is Apollo in his gasoline MV, not sure myself.
I'm glad you got to watch INVU before starting the ranking series. Would take you months if not years to get to it otherwise, which would be a shame. I wonder if it will be your winner in the end. It's a great song but the rest of her discography won't go down without a fight. She has a lot of real gems in there. That Live Clip is live. She did a bunch of those for the songs from INVU album. There aren't any other officially filmed performances that are live, unfortunately. She just wrapped her Asian tour this weekend where INVU was an opener. Hopefully, SM releases those performances on DVD or their channel as they sometimes do. Taeyeon is known for great lives. You haven't got to experience her full power yet, as both Killing Voice and this Live clip were filmed in tightly controlled environments with very sensitive microphones and a camera zoomed on her face. Her concert performances feature a live band (that she jokingly fights with IU over as some of those musicians play for both) and the energy is great. Taeyeon is a really charismatic and engaging performer when she’s comfortable in her element. There are multiple concert performances of hers on YT that don’t seem to cause copyright issues. She has some really dedicated fansites that produce sharp multi-angle fancams too, so I hope you get to see that side of hers at some point. There are also performances from "Begin Again 3" - a basking show she did in Europe. Those are very authentic and refreshing, that whole show is. Talking about fancams, one of the first songs you’ll be checking out for the ranking series- “U R” has a special one from Butterfly Kiss concert in Busan. It’s a bit blurry in the first half but it’s the best she has ever sang that song, including studio version (that she she recorded in one take btw) Thanks for the great reactions you've done for her so far and can't wait for the ranking series!
I am so excited for an ultimate ranking!! I wonder what time point you are going to start with her music though? Before her official "solo debut" she released so much with OSTs and Collaborations. If we were to talk about her actual first release, that was before she officially debuted with Girls Generation. Her vocal teacher The One thought she was an exceptional student and they released a song called "You Bring Me Joy".
I attended her concert here in manila last july 30 and hearing her live was so amazingggg, i was so blessed to hear her love and I was so mesmerize the whole time. Hearing her live was like a dream and She's so awesome. 💜 INVU was her opening song in her concert hehe 😍
Taeyeon Fine was the best and full of emotional song and MV since it has a sad deeper story about it (hope you deep dive about the story of FINE since 'til now I'm still crying every time I hear Fine). Karina of aespa was her look like (she looks like Karina's mother since they have resemblance and they both from SM ENT) but vocally Miyeon from (G)I-DLE her vocally sounds like they have thick unique voices, Taeyeon and IU was the biggest soloist of 3rd Gen and they both suffers and sad story tragic story in the past
I'm a massive Dreamcatcher and Taeyeon fan... So clicking a Taeyeon reaction just to see Dreamcatcher albums on the background... well, you got my attention. INVU is probably one of my favorite korean songs ever made. I'm not a big fan of male k-pop songs BUT, if you still haven't listened to 'Hate That' by KEY featuring Taeyeon, you absolutely should. That one is definitely a must listen even for me.
This is going to be epic!! Only from these two Taeyeon reaction videos from you, I can clearly see how you really enjoy listening to music. I appreciate the way you go into depth regarding the construction of the song. Can't wait to see your future videos! ❤
Loved your reaction! You made me fall in love with this song again! I highly recommend reacting to a heavenly live performance of a song called Priority that Taeyeon, Winter (aespa) and Max Changmin (TVXQ) The vocals are amazing and blend well together!
Invu is by far one of my favourite kpop songs ever made, taeyeon is a vocal beast and has been an ult of mine since her start in snsd. Her, wendy and seulgi from red velvet and siyeon are some of my favourite vocalists for how good their vocals are and just how easy it is for them to do just about anything ❤
I know you're going to do a ranking and I can't wait to see your reaction. All Taeyeon's songs are great but please do check one of the fan favorite which is "Fine" the mv and the live version. I was lucky enough to watch her concert when she went here in Manila and just hearing that song in person is absoultely a dream ❤
Thanks for supporting amazing king TAYEON. Enjoy the journey, and while going through the songs - do include also 'Priority' jointly by MAX CHANGMIN, TAEYEON, WINTER.
I highly recommend her Signal Tour concert in Japan 2019 (favourites „Voice“, „I’m the greatest“) as well as the Seoul concert in 2019 (with the famous version of „Fine“) as sources of live versions. So many of her best songs live in those two. The busking performances in the „Begin Again“ Series and her guitar acoustic version of „11:11“ are gorgeous too. Her story telling in 11:11 😍
You really should check out her discographies and maybe you can also check out her other live clip from the same invu album which is Toddler(my absolute favourite), Heart and Some nights
1:58 When you go back to INVU in the future, please check the INVU dance practice. It may not have the CGI/visual effect of the MV, but it will show you how artistic the choreo and formation of this song that the MV wasn't able to do. King Taeyeon and her back up dancers were able to do a good job with INVU's dance.👍 _____ Also, according to an article: Girls' Generation's Taeyeon confesses that SM Entertainment was against her releasing 'INVU' 😅.
Tae-Yeon is Godness ~ i recommend you to do a m/v marathon on her . From 1st album to Present . Her 2nd Album " Purpose " Repackage is THE BEST ( has won Best Artist / Best Album / Best Single of The Year at once at the award show .
And to think that goddess Taeyeon and vocal king Baekhyun (EXO member, solos "Bambi" "UN Village", "Candy", etc., and my Bias hahaha♡) were a couple 😭, imagine how talented both of them are 😭, damn fans and haters who ruined what they had ☹. Anyway, Taeyeon has such an incredible voice that always takes my breath away, just like with IU, both are one of a kind 🥺💕.

Taeyeon's discography starts even earlier than the one of Girls' Generation. Her first officially released feature "You Bring Me Joy" by The One goes back to 2004. SNSD has a huge discography and then there are a couple albums worth of OSTs and features Taeyeon released before her official solo debut. Taeyeon is known for "eating her CDs". That is her live. That is why most people want to see her concerts. She sounds even better in person.
No.. She's eating Studio ✌️😁👍
I am STILL in PCD after The Odd Of Love in Jakarta :'
@@Bramsjmk clips from the Odd Of Love concert are crazy - amazing feeling.
KING TAEYEON 🎤 👑 Be sure to check out her live concert versions on your journey. She's even more amazing live. 💜

INVU was my pick for SOTY 2022 ... all the monster rookies couldn't top this kpop veteran
Oh boy, be prepared for a looooong rabbit hole, cuz sooner or later you'll probably want to hear her stuff from when she was on Girls Generation, and that's another monumental task hahahah. Good luck and enjoy the ride :D

She seldom writes her own songs, but she often acts as her own music director. And has a huge role in choosing what she wants to sing.

There's a reason Taeyeon is THE idol of idols and Girl's Generation (her group) is the standard of girl groups. You can see and hear it yourself 🩷
I wouldn't know much of Taeyeon if I weren't so obsessed with Key. They are irl besties, so I kinda fell into her music because of him. Her vocals are absolutely stunning. And this song is so good. Yes she sang the song live. Her live is always better than the studio version. You can feel her emotions more
The MV of this is wonderful with the archery, the silver and the moon symbology. She's embodying Artemis/Diana perfectly.
