If you're a delay fiend like yours truly you really need to have a good look at the tc electronic Triple Delay. 12 of the best delay algorithms of all time are at your disposal and you can mix and match them with the three independent delay engines, in glorious stereo. And they sound incredible. If that's not enough, you can download a ton of Artist TonePrints for use in one of the four onboard TonePrint slots or simply write your own patch with the help of the TonePrint Editor (free download). There's a lot to love about the Flashback Triple Delay. It's inspiring and that's always a plus.
This is my first of two Triple Delay videos. The second is a basic run-through of the 12 algorithms (forthcoming).

Hey Brett! I know it's 8 years later, but........ this is still far and away the best tutorial for this pedal on the web. Thanks.
Amazing Triple Delay demo! Thanks for doing this, ***** !
TC Electronic No probs. Thank YOU! :)
I've watched loads of videos about this unit and this one explains much better than the others and I've found out exactly what I need to know. Thanks. I'm buying one next week.
Always great demos from Brett...And I LOVE this delay!
I've just come across your channel. Great Triple Delay demo. Nicely paced. Nicely explained.
Another great demo Brett. I've already purchased one pedal based on your videos and I think I'm now about to buy another one. Cheers!
Brilliant demo Brett, THAT demo makes you want to go out and buy one.
You're the king of the delay pedal. I don't even use delay but I love your reviews. Good on ya
Adam James Rogers Haha. Thanks, AJR!
Ah yes Burgs delay fiends we are, me too! The X4 I'm having a ball with, especially when it's then crossed with a digital delay from the Boss host and in glorious stereo. I've the looper on X4 is brilliant adds so much to the build. The flight time delay however.....very impressive display of what it can do. This is what's so good about this system, you plainly and honestly show us the goods all with finesse may I add then we know exactly what goes into the next pedal board build or rearrange cheers my friend!
I like your gear reviews best because you play well so I can really get a good idea. also you reviewed the peak midi controller sweet!!!
Always love ur demos love boutique pedals and the others aswell
Glad I waited for this as my next delay pedal, fantastic functionality and the algorhythms sound better than the previous TC. 7:40 reminded me of this big 90s guitar tones, Amen!
best demo on here. thanks
great video Brett, you've made me want one to add to the x4
very nice , great demo
Thanks for this clear and informative review! I have this pedal (bought second hand) and understand much better how it works now :-)
Well done, great vid, I have mine on order. Love TC stuff!
Great demo Brett... Seriously interested in getting this... Couple to my existing Ditto x4, the sky isn't the limit.... Edge of the known multiverse is the limit! Love the way you put the effect through its paces and give us the close up on the switching. And one can see you're really enjoying yourself too. BRILLIANT ! (Subscribing mate - Fair dinkum...)
The audio quality of this demo is quite impressive.
You simply have the best pedal demos on RUclips. I mean... every one, not just this demo. If I want to hear a new pedal, I seek out Brett Kingman demos. With all your pedal experience, have you ever consider to write a book on pedals? Or possibly publish demo DVDs? I notice some of the major pedal manufacturers are using your demos on their company web sites. They know good demos when they see them, so do we in RUclipsLand.
Jam Handy I'm very flattered, thanks JH. I don't set out to be better than anyone else, I just want to produce what I'd like to see if I was watching me. It's not about me or about my playing, it's about the product and what the viewer might expect in reality should they decide to purchase said product having only watched my demo. That's it, really. I try to keep improving and I really enjoy it. Cheers, B. :)
Jam Handy I agree whole heartedly BKs just the Best :)
Good demo, thanks!
own it and it is amazing and immaculate sounds
Excellent video Brother
Love this one-thanks, show more of it please
LOVE it!
Great demo Brett ... I have this delay its great👍🏻👍🏻😃
Chad Boston Cheers, Chad!
Thank you!
This is the Diablo 2 soundtrack in a box !
LOL, i was thinking the same. I'm gonna get one soon.XD
NICE
Hi, by using one single delay , can the rhythmical subdivisions knob be thought like multi-taps? Or, do they are a different concept? For instance, would I achieve a multi-tap result by using a single delay kind combined with a subdivision value?
Thank you
is it possible to set the 3 delays with 3 different tap tempo? nice demo !
Dear Tc Electronic, now you'd have to take the Triple Delay and add programmable presets, full Midi mapping, the option to Pan each delay line Left or Right (for Circular Delays for example), a readable display and then you'll have the best delay pedal of all time.
AAE Audio Engineering If they fix the tap tempo (currently doesn't apply to all 3 delays, only the active one on the toggle switch) then I'd be happy getting one
Always Love Your Videos Brett. You are Amazing at what you do. I have a Preset Question: to go from preset #1 to preset #2 , (in a live setting) do you have to 1st Click-off #1 and then Step on #2 to activate that preset ? ( meaning 2 button presses for a preset change ). Thanks. - Michael Caz - NYC -
Hi Michael. I'm a good friend of Brett's and tour with him and very fortunately own one of these beautiful delay units. You don't have to switch one off to switch two on. Of course your pre sets are determined by how you set them up before switching them on and off and is advisable to do so so that they don't get out of control (unless that is the desired effect of course!!) it is particularly beautiful and expansive in stereo. So 1 might be a lovely warm analogue delay, 2 a ping pong and then three a wide spacial delay each adding more width and dimension. Then you could just have 1 and 3 on or 2 and 3 or just 3. It's so amazing that you can sync them tempo wise with tap tempo which is always a problem with multiple delays. It really is just great live and in the studio. Write me back if I have misunderstood your question or you have more questions!! Cheers
+josh owen Thanks, I appreciate your prompt & detailed answer. So basically ( if I am clear on this ? ) you can have preset #1 active & step on preset #2 ( causing preset #1 to shut off & activate preset #2 ) . 1 Button Push - to Change Presets ) Correct ?
+Michael Caz sorry for my rather long winded answer that didn't answer your question !! You can deactivate 1 and activate 2 by your pushing both at the same time and vice versa, that is if one or the other is off and one or the other is on. If both are on and you stand on both buttons they will then both switch off. (This is only a problem if you have feet too small to push both at the same time!!!) There isn't one button activation as in switch off one then two automatically comes on. Having said this I haven't fully explored the midi switching capabilities so could stand corrected and i'm happy to be pointed in the right direction if I am mistaken. Does that make sense. Apologies if I have confused you even further!!!!
Hi Burgs,
How do you rate the sound quality of this pedal to other digital delays?
I’m very keen due to its triple delay abilities.
Thanks
It's very good,it can sound warm ,depends on the setting of course, prestine ,if you choose digital setting and tapey if choose tape of course. The delays sound warm, dreamy very lovely.
How do you turn off all 3 delays at once?
with a sideways foot
MIDI
Or a sideways foot, yes. Doesn't have to be your foot.
Left/right foot and tongue
Looks like I need to get a new delay pedal.
OK It's nice sound, but what song will be use like this sound ?
Your imagination will answer this question
Your best song you haven't written yet. The sky is the limit, mate.
long time subscriber... would prefer the demo without the whammy bar though
Thanks. Seven years ago and I sold it shortly afterwards. If they want to grace me with another I'll shoot a whammy-less version for you. Rock on.
Here you can hear how the Triple delay sounds in a track Listen to It's Time by Savana Violenta on #SoundCloud
soundcloud.com/savanaviolenta/vteq
I wonder what an Alter Ego triple delay would sound like.
Well with the Toneprint editor you can get very close to analog tape delays using the analog and tape echo templates in the Ediotr and beam them into the triple delay ,use all three and you can hear what the effect will be.
Is that green?
Erick Chicas No, just the lighting in here. It's blue.
***** ohh ok ok! killer delay btw!
Seems a bit half baked with only 3 presets
It's enough
