Been using super glue for roughly 30 years and it still never cease to amaze me what it can do, and I still never manage to cease getting my fingers stuck to what I'm glueing lol
I usually just end up with separate parts glued to separate fingers. They won’t glue to each other, but the bond with my fingers is instant and unbreakable.
We use superglue in, uh, meatsmithing as well. Good for closing minor and surface wounds.
I learned this trick as tool and die maker in the late 1970. we used this on all kind of parts.
I love your content, but I really miss the longer videos
I think he is still making longer format videos. According to the description, this is from a longer video, as if this is an unvoiced recap:

I also love the longer format videos.
This is the clips channel... There are two.
While this works l yhink I still would use a positioning stop on the solid jaw while using a torque wrench to close the vise. The positioning stop allows parts to be re-set in the vise if required. Plus l admit to prefering to do all operations with a specific cutter in one set-up. Using the torque wrench puts the same distortion into the vise eavh piece.
As to vises when l was working l found l much prefered the ones with the solid jaw at the front. For several reasons.
1) For the same maximum opening they tend to be smaller overall
2) Safety. When placing a part in the vise you are pulling the part towards you. If you slip your hand is moving away from the machine.
3) The solid jaw is secured to the vise with vertical and horizontal screws. And can be further located with dowels.
4) Smooth sides and end allowing the vise to be clamped to mill table in more than one orientation.
5) lf one wants they can be shop made.
A good day in the shop 👍
Im surprised how well that glue holds, I would have thought the heat generated by drilling would have weakened it in such a small piece of metal.
I don't know where I learned this trick, but it was a game changer.
Sparkling videography. So Clickspring. 👍
Nice work, Chris!
👍😎
Great work as always! BTW what kind of cutting oil are you using? It seems to be one of the non smoking kinds.
Alas, my 'features' are beyond help. Curse you, time and gravity! 😁
While prying the parts apart, wouldn't some heat from a torch be safer?
I'm not sure the fumes from burning superglue are safer.
If the lower part is still in the vise, your setup is still ok for next drill operations. Prob don't want to heat the vise up too.
Primeiro 🎉
That mallet.... it scares me. With the mushroomed head.
It's copper
