    My high mount light was original equipment (2006) and never had an issue with it until leaving my daughter's school. A low hanging caught under the edge of the light and tore it out. My new light assembly was just like yours and I'm glad you showed us how to get to unplugging the harness, it worked out great. Thank you.

    Thanks for the video! I was wondering how I was going to make this cover work due to the plug lights not fitting. I replaced the headlights and it wasn't to bad at all, and I saved my self $ 125.00 from a service station. Thanks again for everything.

    Do you know the size/thread of the screws needed to reattach the assembly? Thanks!

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive  5 месяцев назад

      Harrie, No, I don't, but let me look it up for you! Ford calls this the, "Center High Mount Stop Light Screw. Self Tapping Pan Head Screw, Part #: W710143S300; Usage: For High Mount Stop Lamp, 50MM, M4.2 x 1.41," So you answer is M4.2 x 1.41, 50mm long. You don't want to buy them from Ford, they are $61.20 and they show a picture of 4 screws. - Stiles

    Does it need a gasket??? Nice video though 👌

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive  2 года назад +1

      Brooklyn, Yep, you do! That is the main problem, the old Seal, becomes . . . well . . old and then leaks. Most new Brake Light Assemblies come with the new Seal already glued or sealed to the Assembly. - Stiles

    Anyone know how to turn on the cargo lights in a 2005 F150? Bulbs are new, brake light works.

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive  5 месяцев назад

      Jason, The Cargo Lights (2x 921 Bulbs, in the High Mount Brake Light Assembly) are on with the Interior Dome Lights. I believe the only way to turn them on is with the Instrument Panel Dimmer Control, move the Control to the full up position, past the detent, to turn on the Interior Lamps (and Cargo Lamps). They also illuminate when you open one of the Doors. - Stiles

      I’ll try that again. Do you know if there’s a fuse for the cargo lights? The interior door lights do work, nothing seems to make the cargo lights work.

    I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how the truck was getting water on the rear passenger side floor.. was washing it earlier and noticed that this light was cracked. So I guess that's the reason.

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive  Год назад +1

      JKade, If you haven't replaced the Light Assembly and are still running the OEM Light Assembly, it is leaking! No guessing, I know it. - Stiles

    what happens when your inside lights and windows don't work after a third light replacement?

    • @StilesAutomotive
      @StilesAutomotive  Год назад

      Reena, If everything was working prior to replacing the 3rd Brake Light Assembly, more than likely, you blew a Fuse. Check Fuse 24 (15A, Blue) Battery Saver Relay Fuse in the Passenger Compartment Fuse Panel on the Central Junction Box in the Passenger’s Side Kick Panel. If this is good, I’d also look at Fuse 401 (30A, Green) Accessory Delay Relay Fuse and although unlikely, there are a number of other Fuses that power the Instrument Cluster: F21 (15A, Blue), F1 (10A, Red), F15 (5A, Tan), F27 (5A, Tan), and F102 (20A, Yellow) that should be looked at. - Stiles
