  • In this video, I'll discuss a few niche telemedicine practices for physicians to consider. This perhaps applies to other healthcare professionals, but my goal is to get more physicians to take their practice online and enjoy their location independence.
Check out my DocDigital Online Course! Brand new ... www.nomadphysi...
We'll discuss a few examples, such as acne, fertility, diet, pediatric obesity, psoriasis, miscarriages, sports medicine, etc.
I also want to focus on 4 significant aspects that often seem daunting to physicians:
    1. branding
    2. marketing
    3. content
    4. expertise

Thanks Mo, love your videos, on my drive to work I dream of all the things I could be doing in Oncology!

Hello Abdur. Thank you for your kind words. The dreaming is one of the most important aspects because it connects you with what matters to you and helps you think creatively. Some ideas need further teasing out but trying to focus on who would benefit from your ideas will help you not lose focus.
I know that right now the space of oncology is dominated by cancer centers which have negotiated major in-network rates and bundled payments from employers in order to offer a cookie cutter treatment to a patient with a particular diagnosis.
For all but a few cancers at early stages the treatment outcomes aren't as impressive as the hype and hope the markers offer.
I suspect that the lifestyle and headspace and outlook on a cancer diagnosis is more important than which chemo you get. Or maybe I'm wrong and the chemo you get is the big game changer. Nobody but you, the oncologist knows that. That's your stick and that's the brand and marketing behind your expertise that will drive paying clietns to you and hopefluly offer you career satisfaction in return.

Do you know about telehealth for a licensed therapist? Specifically, can you bill insurance companies and Medicare if your clients are in Delaware and you are in Portugal? Thank you.

I suspect the same telehealth laws apply to therapists as physicians. The best source of that information would be the contract holder for your CMS patients - that account manager should be able to point you in the right direction.

Spain is wonderful and many people from Latin America have settled here in different cities. I love Madrid and really enjoy it. But I think it depends on the kind of patient population you are interested working with and how much you want to work. The public healthcare system is tough to break into if you are a foreigner but the private market is growing quickly for those who are looking to have a more US style service.
