  • On this Episode Marc and George venture up to Shelstone Tor for a much needed Dartmoor wildcamp. Shilstone Tor is situated on the far east slope of Shilstone Hill. On the North side of Dartmoor.
The weather of late has been terrible here in the UK. We have had one of the wettest August / September months on record. So it was nice to have a week of glorious weather.
On this episode, I introduce to you my Hillenberg Nallo 2. Very much overkill for this wild camp but I wanted to see if 4 seasons truely means what it says .
I have read lots of reviews saying Hilleberg tents have the wrong climate for the UK and suffer from terrible condensation . So it was time to set the challenge.
Alot of the time Four season tents get alot of focus on the winter months but are they practical in the warmer months ?
Do you give your tents names ?
Iam looking to name my Nallo so feel free to give it a name in the comments. The name I like will win a prize.
This episode is not a full review of the Nallo 2 just my views on how it performed on the hills of Devon in 26 degrees of heat.

Great video, considering purchasing second hand a Nallo 2. I have the Abisko Lite 1 and find it claustrophobic in winter long wild camps and serious issue at 61 getting changed in it lol Liked and Subscribed

The nallo 2 is £910, the 3 season version anjan 2 is £830.
Had the nallo , now an anjan 2. The nallo was used for hillwalking the anjan will be used for cycle touring
Got the anjan 2 due to superior ventillaion, set it up in the garden in dry conditions the other day with no rain or wind, temperature about 12 centigrade, the flysheet inside and outside was soaked in the morning which shows that even the anjan can suffer from condensation.
Also had the nammatj 2 which I prefered to the nallo 2 as more stable and better ventilation due to 2 large vents which you can operate from the inside unlike the outside rear vent of the nallo. The akto which I had was terrible for condensation, but not an issue as you just wipe the inner in the morning before sitting up.
I never fully trusted the large pole of the nallo in high winds, the nammatj made you feel alot more secure with 2 poles the same height with the aditional stability of the guylines on the vents.

Correct the nallo is £910 online. With the footprint costing £90 that's £1000 . Iam only talking from my experience here . In temperatures of 26 degrees there was plenty of ventilation and no condensation in the morning. Thankyou for you imput iam glad you have found a tent your happy with . Happy camping 🏕

@@marcjeffreypresents Another red label tent, the katium was tested to destruction snapping a pole at over 100mph. If you double pole your front pole, can probably survive 150mph winds.

I remember paying £1.200 for my saitaris. Not included was the extra set of poles ane foot print which I also bought. What that would cost today I have no idea. Very enjoyable video

Lovely video. Well done. Been trying to buy an osprey aether ag 70 myself but that model has been discontinued. Do let me know if you are interested in selling yours. Although i am in the Republic of Ireland so it may not be so straightforward for yourself

Thankyou for the kinds words my friend. They are a brilliant rucksack BUT are on the heavy side but because of the gravity system it hardly feels like you have it on your back. Good luck in finding one. Keep an eye out on eBay 👀
