Definitely agree 2000 was a good year for NASCAR 1/16 diecast and what I collect 1/24 diecast my favorite being my limited edition Miller Lite Harley-Davidson Rusty Wallace number 2
I was surprised when I heard Casey Atwood was that hyped back in the day, I only knew him as a driver who almost won Richmond and got dumped before season's end for David Stremme.
Now these are the types of videos I really like. Being a long term collector I have a lot of these too. And I agree Hot Wheels were so underrated and I've noticed since you brought it up they don't chip easy. So many great schemes in early to mid 2000s
Pontiacs in Winner's Circle used the same molds from 1998 all the way to 2002. Pontiac never really changed up their bodies until 2003 that is, so Racing Champions always stuck to that low snout body. But compared to the other cars it looks smaller by comparison to Monte Carlos and the Tauruses Racing Champions put out in 2000-03.
@@Diecastbuffet I remember you could get all the hotwheels primary paint schemes before the daytona 500 and sometimes half thier secondary schemes too I'd have all of roushes cars and then some long before the 500 man diecast collecting was alot different back then
Never been so early to a Diecastbuffet video that the video has only 2 views, but 5 likes haha. But in all seriousness, love collection videos like this!
Man we use to have this up in Canada..... i dont remember much of it because you kinda take that stuff for granted when your young, now that im older i wish i had my time back, i remember buying Kasey Kahnes Dodge Dealers and Johnsons Lowe's, or finding Gordons 09 Firestorm Dupont, man the shelves were stacked, barely any room for hotwheels back then hahaha it was all Winners Circle. I still have majority of my collection if not all, and im still collecting, obviously being up in Canada we dont get the Authentics so im left with ordering, speeking of that, i just ordered Dario Franchitti's 2009(?) Hartford Dodge, when he raced in Cup of course.
Tony Stewart drove the Peanuts scheme for Linus's "Great Pumpkin" beliefs and they had Peanuts characters on it in Halloween costumes waiting for the Great Pumpkin to show up. The Looney Tunes cars, only one did not run and that was Bugs Bunny with Jeff Gordon since he crashed the #24 scheme in practice, so they had to put the back up car out.
They probably produced a decent amount of them, however it rarely comes available on the market anymore. I’ve looked for two years never found it, only found 1 photo of it online for the longest. I’m talking the hot wheels version, not the team caliber
@@Diecastbuffet yeah i got the hotwheels one, pretty beat up but you can still tell what it is *unlike the david stremme tums promo i got.* i also feel like hotwheels had the best mold for the taurus, TC felt too bulky for my liking
Love this video, some excellent cars/paint schemes. More brands more choice the late 90’s early 2000’s were great for collecting 1/64 Nascar diecast 💙😎
Fun fact Jimmy Smith the team owner of Ultra Motorsports owned the 7 but used engines and chassis from Evernham during the deal from 2002. Ultra Evernham then parted after 2002 and Ultra ran the 7 privately in 2003 and part time in 2004 and shut down the cup program trying to focus more on the truck series team.
Some of my favorite 2002 1:64s that I own are Mike Wallace’s 33 Autoliv Daytona scheme, Hut Stricklins 23 Hills Bros Primary, and Hank Parker Jr’s 91 USG Sheetstrock that was ran at Kansas which was his debut in cup
I Also Have Some Cars From 2002, Mostly The Looney Toons And Muppets Ones, But I Do Have A Rare Shawna Robinson BAM Car That Some Kid Vandalized With A Sharpie Marker
For as big a Harvick fan as I am for whatever reason I still don't have his 2002 amazing silver and black car. Thought about buying it, but never actually have :/
As someone who didn’t start collecting cars until 2012 ( and even then no more than a few cars a year until a few years ago), I wish I had a few older cars. What year’s going to be next?
I am thankful my parents let me by diecasts I remember for a birthday idk which birthday but I got a Kyle Busch cake with a car on top and I got a lot of gold series Kyle Busch cars. heres a funny story i was such a big Kyle Busch fan I dressed up as Kyle Busch for Halloween I had the cheap little red sun glasses and the hat that had a 18 on it I thought I was the coolest kid in school.
What is the proper mold for this era of diecasts? I own some random old diecasts from yard sales in years past. (edit: i watched more and i found out lol)
I was lucky enough to get a 2002 Ken Schrader Winner's Circle mold off ebay for less than $5 earlier this year! Also just wondering, if you could pick a car from this year to have in your collection, what would it be?
A bit of info Jack roush actually owned team caliber before motorsports authentics took over action and team caliber on 06 then in 07 motor sports authentics just became action / winner's circle so all teams could be represented by one die cast company like today they bought spin master the Nascar authentics Creator and Lionel got the nod from Nascar to make all die cast I just wish Lionel could stop screwing up paint on the cars
You got 3 burton hotwheels cars please sell me one that was also my favorite car please please please I lost alot of my die cast years ago and my burton car were lost and I love the 02 99 it was my favorite

He was expected to be so much more, then cliff dived pretty bad unfortunately. Wish him and Jeff Green would’ve panned out in Cup
What a great video! My favorite one here has to be the Jeff Burton! Having the cars that we grew up with is a huge blessing for sure!
8:05 you should see my bill Elliott Mac tonight diecast lol
I have the promo of John Andretti 2002 cheerios Dodge Intrepid R/T and the outline looks very cool. Your collection looks very impressive!
Thank you Jose!! 😄😄
A lot of those cars I remember getting in any General Mills cereal boxes lol. It was really Dodge and General Mills promoting together
They made sooo many of those, great times haha
9:52 and they did in 2023! But with Llumar.
3:53 Kick the ball charlie brown

My reasons of why the pontiac mode is bad is because it didn't update since the mode was made in the late 90s
