Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C. H. Spurgeon.

As humans, we love to think we’re in-charge of everything \ or at least want to be! We hear “Christians” say “I” found Jesus ... well, it wasn’t Jesus who is lost! “I .. I”, “Me .. Me”. It’s this very fact that cause “Christians” to say I hate “Calvinism!” I’ve had genuine anger over the Doctrine of Election directed at me. It’s time for more Preachers to take up Spurgeon’s mantle to explain the SOVEREIGNTY of God. To me, knowing that God wrote my name not only in the Book of Life & upon the hands of Jesus humbling. I was a wild child in the orphanage called the world [there was nothing good in me] but God adopted me into His family. Pray for me that I will always listen to the Savior’s voice & be guided by the Holy Spirit to do God’s Will for my life. Thank you so much for sharing Spurgeon’s ministry.
Well it’s only possible for god to write the names of sheep. Not leopards, so as a leopard I’m sure you have no problem telling us all you are neither called, nor predestined, nor appointed.

If there is anything hidden to the natural man, is Salvation by Grace. That is the reason God reveals salvation by His Spirit. No one whatsoever can come to God in repentance, unless God draws him/her through the Holy Spirit convicting him/her of sin.May the revelations of JESUS abound in every Christian Church. Amen

What is revealed by Jesus in the parable of Wheat and Tares was said by the prophet in the Old Testament that it is the mystery that was kept secret since the foundation of the world..
Matthew 13:35 which says: "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."

Ever wonder why only the few will come to the Lord in saving faith? Were these just a little keener than the multitudes who reject Christ?
Not at all. All men are running towards hell but God in his marvelous grace saves those whom he predestinated to save. With man it’s impossible because Gods word is spiritually discerned. An unregenerate man cannot choose to follow Christ. Only those he calls and draws can come..

So in other words, *Spurgeon didn’t understand predestination!* Not many do. Here’s an explanation of the predestination spoken of in Romans 8:29-30

If "No free will to choose" were true then the Judgment Seat of Christ and the Great White Throne Judgment would be a joke. Think on these things:. how could souls be judged and held responsible if they were predestined without free will? Is that just?.
It is not that people don't have free will. They have a will that is fallen, spiritually dead. The lost will be judged for their thoughts, words and deeds.
@@888Winkler God sets us free and quickens us spiritually alive in Christ, just as Christ came back from the dead, when we Believe in Him. "IF, choose, believe, receive, whosoever, repent, turn, faith, truth, accept or reject". God is not lying or creating an illusion of choice. We will be rewarded or punished in the future judgments according to our deeds which we choose to do now.
@@888Winkler but what's the reason behind that? Man is capable to make choices. It is God's choice to save them who put their faith in Him and it's man's responsibility to come to Him. Nowhere does the bible speaks about one's eternal destiny is destined unconditionally by God. Men are indeed slave of sin but is not incapable to recognize their condition and ask to release them from the slavery. Human autonomy is not what you are talking about. Men are free to make choices otherwise they are no longer responsible for their judgement, that they would have turned from sin but they didn't. They did have the opportunity to repent but they didn't. In defense of free will, God is most glorious and holy in spite of human freedom.
@@overcominglife8461 The bible teaches that when Adam sinned he would die. They didn't drop dead physically that day but their spirits died, "dead in trespasses and sins". This is why Jesus said ye must be born again. Men do not birth themselves. The LORD said "the words that I speak unto you are spirit and life".
It is Gods word through the Holy spirit that quickens men.
@@888Winkler why did adam sin? Was it God who caused him to sin or it was he himself who sinned by using his own will? Men are still responsible for their choices. I do believe men are dead in trespasses and sin, but that doesn't eliminate their free will. Men are more depraved sinners because they have free will, they can choose to repent but they don't choose so by suppressing the truth, the gospel. Deadness doesn't mean incapability, bible contains bunches of figure of speeches, the word dead here is also a metaphor, it means separation. Separation from whom? It's from God. Whoever commits sin is separated from God (rom. 3:23). Deadness as it is defined in calvinism is a wrong and faulty definition, many uses the analogy of lazarus that is a misuse of analogy! Again this narration is not salvific at all. Why don't you look on the story of prodigal son. Where the father says he was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. Was he dead that he couldn't come to his father or his relationship with the father was broken? And this story is salvific.
