It is a great ship, BUT. You have to rely on your teammates and you don't do this in Legends most of the times. If you have teammates to spot for you ( then yeah, otherwise not so much)and let's be honest - most want you to do it for them. :)
For everyone asking, "ik val aan, volg mij," literally translates to, "I'm attacking, follow me!" (Also, V's make F sounds, G's make kind of breathy throat-clearing sounds, and IJ makes a long I or "eye" sound. "Ik fal on, folghmye" is kind of what it sounds like to an English reader.)
So this would actually be a perfect carrier protector escort ship to counter destroyers if they get too close to aircraft carriers, shoot down airplanes from attacking other aircraft carriers to help to airstrikes with the aircraft carrier. What’s the distance on the strikes for this cruiser?

I get that the idea of losing all your health from Airstrikes is unfortunate, but if you sailed broadside-on to a battleship for 14 seconds, you probably would lose all your health that way, too.
Dude, nearly all the damn cruisers are de 7's now. By the time I'm done being spammed by airstrikes the other De 7's have reloaded and are ready to shaft me again. I avoid two and three more strike groups are ready with lube in hand.
@@tegrin853 This happens near the end of every update cycle - suddenly everyone is out playing with their new toys. My advice is to zig while everyone zags. Find a ship that hard counters the D7P - maybe a battleship or heavy cruiser with A+ AA - and play that a lot for the next few weeks. I promise you won’t regret it.
Really good review Tommyboy, I'm looking forward to playing the ship with new perks, the game needs to evolve and add different play styles to keep the game exciting and fresh. However, I believe releasing this ship at the same time as the carrier buffs is a big mistake from wargaming. B&B & DD playes are getting hammered by aerial bombardmens from all sides and the balance has gone completely out of the window. I think an in game adjustment is rapidly required or players are just going to get frustrated an not play until it's fairer and rebalanced. What do you think?
I'm gonna be honest I haven't really been experiencing the negatives too much, and I am a BB main. Only times I ever feel like I'm being farmed is when I'm away from teammates and too far from my CV so no fighter planes can protect. I'll admit the planes are EVERYWHERE sure but I haven't really felt impacted by them

The guns don't let me down at all. I mainly stick to HE. And I don't have to sit behind a rock. This ship is amazing
