Since I first heard of the Thrustmaster TCA Officer Pack Airbus Edition I wanted to review it on the channel, the TCA Quadrant from Thrustmaster really let's you feel like you are flying an Airbus plane and the TCA Sidestick or Flightstick is super precise and has a ton of buttons.

The red button on the Throttle disengages the auto throttle not TOGA and the real side stick has a trigger, its for the radio push to talk.

The red button on the side sick is for auto pilot disconnect. There is a ptt (radio push to talk) in front of the side stick, look like a weapon tricker.
And yes the red button on the throttle is call “A/THR INSTINCTIVE DISCONNECT PUSHBUTTON”.
I find it really funny that in nearly every review of the sidestick on RUclips the reviewer says that the trigger is, well, for other combat games. LOL the real aircraft *DOES have a trigger* and is the PTT. Really good review however!
2:29, The plane already has those triggers, they are often called "Push to talk" triggers, because if you press them, you can talk with ATC. Also Good video!
Good news : the last Flight Simulator 2020 update (1.10.7.0) includes the Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition support with default binding configuration.

As far as I can tell, this is the ONLY hotas setup that can work for lefties!
There are a decent number of Ambidextrous stick options and a few leftie sticks.
But this is the FIRST throttle that I've ever seen that can work in a southpaw setup.

Actually you do have a trigger in the real Airbus, it's used to fire the missile. Jk it's just the PTT
I've had this on pre order for over a month now, thrustmaster keep delaying it. So tempted to cancel getting fed up now

@@jpht1964 I just checked ebay, and some items are double the price. So annoying. Dont know who im the most mad with, the sellers or the actual people who buys it and makes it possible.
BIG TIP - forget pre-order . Instead go to every major trustworthy on line shop and request a STOCK ALERT if the site has that feature(many do) they will email you when the item comes into stock. THEN a make sure you have your payment card and phone with you at all times. When your phone pings with an email informing you it’s in stock remain calm and immediately order the TCA as fast as you can. After getting the email it may be out of stock again within minutes so don’t waste time. Then you can cancel any preorders elsewhere easily. Preorder could involve a long wait and may not be as fair as you think. Thank me later. It worked for me! I have it .....
They do have the triggers, they are used for push to talk most of the time to easily talk to tower or ground

FS2020 latest patch now can completely supports this product. But there is one thing weird: The knob only works when I turn to "CRANK" and "IGN/START" but not when I turn it back to "MODE/NORM". And I check user manual, it seems only left and right side are defined as a button so every time after I turn it, the only when to turn it back is using mouse.
Which autopilot panel works with the Thrustmaster Airbus? Will the logitech autopilot panel work with these joystick and throttle quadrant?
On Thrustmaster's comparison graphic of all their joysticks it says that there is no twist rudder on this stick when buying the officer pack but if you buy the joystick separately there is a twist rudder.
I thought that was a bit odd, can you confirm if this is true?
Congrats, really great video. One question: would it be worth it for use with Flight Simulator but with a more general flight, for example with "light" aircraft, such as Cessna 152 or 172 (…or for Elite Dangerous)? I don't particularly like airliners but I still find the equipment reviewed very beautiful and complete, compared to other solutions. Alternatively, the usual X52 (pro) or X56.
When I push forward on the throttle, it shakes and lifts up. What are you doing to ensure that the throttle remains stationary and stable?

The set looks amazing but what i always hate about Thrustmaster is the plasticky feel and lack of 'weight' of the sticks. Is it actually different this time icm build quality and material used? Otherwise I'm just gonna stick with my VKB Sim Gladiator Mk2 :D, feels nice and chunky

Which has great stick action / good trigger, ok hat - but the throttle slider was *feeble* and all those foot-stand button-sets were REALLY un-clicky and squishy.

@Coolayyy Playz yes it's true these two options are the best right now. But we only use these 2 during take off and landing on a real flight. We use the mcdu and fcu more because its very difficult to operate the airbus with a single pilot flying without any autopilot.

The "trigger" you mention at 2:30 is a communication button, wich is also located right there on the real one.
ps: I like how you pronounce throttle, it sounds like the german word for idiot.
The real aircraft does have a trigger (PTT) button on both side-sticks.
I am an A330 maintenance engineer.
I ordered this from MicroSoft in August.....Of 2020. Still no delivery. I don't dare cancel the order, because everyplace that is selling this set, is selling it for much more than I paid. Sometimes twice what I paid.

U do get the trigger in the real airbus thats for coms. And the 2 red bottons on the throttle isnt toga its to disconnect autothrust.

I honestly do find it irritating when you have to sit through 2 minutes of an YT object reviewer sat there telling us that he's sat there and he's a reviewer and the item in front of him is what he is about to review.......We have read the video title / we can naturally infer the context / we probably searched out this kind of video specifically in the first place etc etc

these days are shit everything gets sold out wtf is going on i.e ps5, all the rtx 3 series range now this joystick. All these scalpers so sad buying up all stock and selling twice as much even check this airbus stick on ebay and compare the price to aerosoft.
The throttle here is a cheap plastic toy. It is not even 1/1 scale, it is for children, give it to your son.

Very much regret buying this POS throttle. The stick is ok, but don't buy the throttle. Almost impossible sync it to work with FS2020. If you are a DCS World fan then don't even try to use it. Absolute junk.
