smeargle in competitive pokemon has always had a niche as a hazard stack lead. trying an offensive set for finwick is cool but i think it might be better suited as a lead with bees, vines, pylons, etc and then blow up blast into something else
Idk, at most it’s getting up 2 hazards if your lucky. Plus there are just plain better Hazard setter imo. Its not bulky enough and not fast enough to actually outspeed things, most offensive threats outspeed it or get it down to its deter and priority kill it. Aswell ( without set up) it’s doing almost nothing with blowup blast. Also Corrolizard is so prominent, hazards are just not doing well right now.
Finwick is interesting despite having a 350 bst...

GOWATT
Thundergoat
Type: Spark
Move Category: Magical
Base Power: 95
Uses: 10
Accuracy: 70%
How to learn: Level Gowatt up to level 52.
When used, the user will send a thunder strike down at the target, however, the thunder isn't thunder, and is just supercharged Yagoats. If the attack lands, this will cause a storm and may paralyze the target. If this attack misses, all of the user's stats are lowered.
PARTYBUG
Bug Party
Type: Insect
Move Category: Support
Uses: 10
How to learn: Level Partybug up to level 30+ in Graphite Forest.
The user will summon a group of Partybugs, the Partybugs will party, and the user will raise all of its stats by one stage while decreasing all of its target's stats by one stage. This move cannot be used twice in 4 turns.
SPRINGLING
Tangled Shot
Type: Plant
Move Category: Magical
Base Power: 50
Uses: 10
How to learn: Level Springling up to level 30.
A large portion of controlled vines will wrap around the target before sending the target into the sky like a slingshot. The next turn, the target will fall to the ground and will take damage.
GROATO
Weaken
Type: Basic
Move Category: Support
Uses: 15
How to learn: Evolve Plipo.
The user will put on a cute face. This will lower all of the target's stats by 1 stage. Melee and Mind types are immune to this move.
ANTENAFLIGHT
Bed Bugs
Type: Insect
Move Category: Physical
Base Power: 25
Uses: 10
How to learn: Evolve Webennae.
Accuracy: 80%
The user will force the target to go to sleep. Every turn that the target is asleep, bed bugs will bite the target, doing 25 damage. The target will wake up after 5 turns.
CALAMANDER
Cake
Type: Food
Move Category: Support
Uses: 10
How to learn: Level Calamander up to level 40 in The Oasis.
Accuracy: 90%
The user will soften itself similarly to a cake. This causes all of its defenses to go down two stages, but all other stats increasing by two stages. This will also cause the next physical move to do no damage to the user.
TUFFLAZE
Brutal Ambush
Type: Beast
Move Category: Physical
Base Attack: 40
Uses: 10
How to learn: Level Tufflaze up to level 60 at Route 12.
Accuracy: Never misses
The user will summon an army of Ruffire from any nearby hiding spots. The army will then attack the target before the user lands a powerful beasty blow. This will lower the target's defense and special defense. However, this move will cause the user to be unable to move the next turn. Spirit, Dark, and Air types are immune to this attack. This attack never misses.
MEGORTLES
Turtle Rave
Type: Basic
Move Category: Support
Uses: 15
How to learn: Level Megortles up to level 50 at Social Park.
The large crowd of turtles will appear around the user. After a quick party, the user boosts its defense and special defense by two stages.
MAGMOTODE
Volcanic Eruption
Type: Fire
Move Category: Magical
Base Attack: 220
Uses: 5
Accuracy: Never misses
How to learn: Level Magmotode up to level 70 while in the Landfill.
The user will charge up for 5 turns. During these five turns, the user's defense and magical defense increase to the max. After the 5 turns are over, the user will erupt letting out lava hot enough to burn water. Afterwards, all the user's stats decrease as low as possible. This attack never misses and will be super-effective against water types.
TULENNA
Flower Assassin
Type: Plant
Move Category: Physical
Base Attack: 70
Uses: 10
Accuracy: 90%
How to learn: Level Tulenna up to level 50 while in Graphite Forest.
The user will throw flowers at the target before slashing the target with a sharp leaf. If the target survives, the target has a chance to be poisoned, burned, or paralyzed.
LEAZAR
Ignore
Type: Basic
Move Category: Support
Uses: 10
How to learn: Level Leapo up to level 80 or evolve Leapo.
The user will completely ignore the next attack, making it do no damage. This move cannot be used twice in 3 turns.
HUMBISCUS
Hum
Type: Basic
Move Category: Support
Uses: 10
How to learn: Level Flittum up to level 40 or evolve Flittum.
The user will begin to hum a song. This has a 50% chance of confusing the target and a 50% chance of healing 10% of its max health.

Groatos is overpowered as fuck
@@TabyyDW ignoring the profanity yea it's really broken as it's sob but without any bad accuracy and lowers ALL stats.
Also humbiscus is kinda weak so instead of the 50% of doing nothing it could be a 50% of making them go to sleep.

Finwick is such an interesting doodle. Even tho it has 350 BST I think it can work in different ways since it can learn ANY move with study

i have an even easier way to give finwick the move you want:
use the move on a wild finwick, the wild finwick will then use study
switch to your finwick, the wild finwick will use the move you want
have your finwick use study

Alright funny idea. Get 6 Finwick keep going until all 6 Finwick (remember the moves and make them learn it afterwards) then do a tier list on which Finwick would be the best Finwick set. Based on those Finwick sets)
I think its a bit hard to set up with something that relies on no priority existing, maybe a max speed choice band set with insane coverage could be better
This is easily one of my top 5 favorite doodles

i was looking at the new awakened hypnotl and started to question if wish even knew balancing because that thing has a 110 spd stat with 107 BASE BULK ALL ROUND AND TO TOP IT OFF YOU HAVE A HIGH SPA AND IT STILL HAS QUICK THINKING DID WISH NOT LEARN FROM SPECTATIK A
Is it worth haveing a recovery move?
Vampiric strike would have killed without the crit anyway you see how fast voltatoo’s health bar went down? That means it did FAR past max hp
I could imagine the title having instead something is missing (instead of wrong) and the question would be, what is truly missing for the doodle that has it all?

Also finwick has so much potential with study but those stats and devour or chemical cleave (or rarely ht exiled) makes it a very risky doodle to use.
the name "sleep gas" sounds like the name of some super weapon in batman

Blessed blade get 20+ more damage for one stat boosted and flood only get 10+ more damage for one stat boosted so if he go one armor break blessed blade deal more damage than flood does. And the other reason he run blade is probably to avoid magical wall
