Hey Andrew, congrats on the reel. Have you had any experience and would you recommend me to get a 6k for land based kings in the harbour in structured areas? Just wondering as I hook heaps of fairly decent kings and wondering whether a 6k will be effective to land them.
To be honest, it’s the first time I’ve ever paid attention to the Saltiga. It’s really nice, but for the price, I think I could find something a little better for less. Am looking forward to what you can pull up with it
@@chrisd1164 I have a Shimano Stradic ci4+ FB from like 14 years ago and the real holds up so much better than even the newer ones I even compared to some new reels that penn and daiwa has come out with this year and that reel is still better to bad Shimano doesn’t make them any more
Gorgeous reel seriously considering one for my zenaq. Might have to settle 😅 for a certate
I'll never spend the money on a Saltiga,,, but it's an absolutely splendid high end spinning reel.
Nice set-up 👌
Thanks!

@@DariusFishing yeah you should definitely get a 6k or above to catch kings in the harbour. Even a 5k would be good for kings in the harbour
Great parents raised a great angler. That's the setup I'm thinking about as well. Let us know what you catch with this combo.
@@shedoudou I got smoked by a kingfish a few days in the harbour
@@shedoudou was not the setup’s fault cuz I messed up the FG knot
I have just bought a 23 Saltiga 5000 -XH and pair it with a Zenaq Sonio. Broke the piggy bank, but the experience using the pair is satisfying. 😂
@@SeanFC74 yeah the saltiga are amazing and the zenaq rods
noice

Daiwa Exist is just as good and lighter weight, cheaper than that the new Certate is half the price and really good

Idk about better for less. You can definitely get a certate or twinpower or even a stradic that will be amazing but idk about better.
@@kylewebster3482 I’m sure I can do better
