Winter has come and the fishing have been very bad. I have just bought a 23 Saltiga 5000 -XH and pair it with a Zenaq Sonio. Broke the piggy bank, but the experience using the pair is satisfying. 😂

To be honest, it’s the first time I’ve ever paid attention to the Saltiga. It’s really nice, but for the price, I think I could find something a little better for less. Am looking forward to what you can pull up with it
Daiwa Exist is just as good and lighter weight, cheaper than that the new Certate is half the price and really good
@@chrisd1164 I have a Shimano Stradic ci4+ FB from like 14 years ago and the real holds up so much better than even the newer ones I even compared to some new reels that penn and daiwa has come out with this year and that reel is still better to bad Shimano doesn’t make them any more

My friends and I used to catch 50-100 bream/flathead a day in that creek 8ish years ago, they would eat literally anything we were catching them on jig heads without soft plastics. It's one of the most pollued creeks in all of Australia (wouldn't even dare to think about eating anything from that place) and it's never been as good since the council did all the work to clean up the creek/bay it connects into.
I agree I wouldn’t eat anything in the parramatta river system because how polluted it is I just do it as a hobby.

What rod should I get
Depends on what your targeting
For bream I’ll go with a 1-3kg rod and for all rounders I’ll go 2-4kg rods

It depends where you fish but I recommend the zman grubs and a 1/16 or 1/12 Jighead
