I love the shop my stash type stuff. I personally took a break from panning. I want to more cycle thru all my things and get use for everything. So I do like weekly makeup baskets. Do whatever you feel like, it’s your makeup , you should enjoy it 😁
what if you combined your whole collection project with your rolling 10 pan project? you could do 5 products that you choose yourself, and then 5 products randomized from your entire collection. that way you combine it into one video but still get to have both projects!
Perhaps, do a really short term project pan. Maybe, a year long one is too long. Pick a handful full of products and see how you do with them. No pressure.
Would love to see you keep doing deck of panning and project 10 pan, all the other projects could go! Love panning content, but also like perfume, shop my stash, organization/ chores & hauls content!
Feeling like the rest of my collection is getting neglected is why project panning was never really for me. I do love to shop my stash and those vids make me happy!
At the end of the day, this is your channel. You create the content. I was heartbroken when Kelly Gooch no longer showcased shop my stash & project pans. That was how I found her channel. But I could also tell, that her heart was no longer in it. She was bored and it showed. It was better that she moved on to other topics that she was passionate about and her channel is better for it. Make Up musings is now one of my favorite segments on her channel. Bottom line, film what you are passionate about and it will come through. We support you….
I personally am here for project pan content, I love the regular project 10 pan and the partners in cream project. Honestly I’m not very into new releases, I have too much makeup and I’m watching content that focuses on using what you already have in your collection
Thank you so much for leaving honest feedback! Even if I scale back on panning content I am still planning to share content using things I have a love ❤️ I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!!
Project panning isn’t my favorite content so I’m with it. I tried to just use one brand (especially eyeshadow) but I got bored with that quickly so I started tracking over a year ago just what I organically grab and it was interesting to see how much I grabbed certain things or brands more than others. It’s actually helped me with over consuming and just focusing on brands that I really enjoy grabbing a ton.. thanks for sharing ❤
I don’t like it. 🫣 I like seeing a rotation of palettes, including the current collection. I like getting inspiration and it feels like I am listening to a friend.
I like watching a few really productive panners like Sofie Alexandra, but personally I could never use my own makeup that way. If you’re not excited about doing that, that’s 100% fine! I loveeee shop my stash videos, and Sarah Rose’s are my favorites 😊
Love you regardless of what content you put out, it sounds like you need a good break. I also have pulled right back panning so I think it is applicable to a lot of us ❤
I think a lot of panners reach this point where they just get to the point that they want the restrictions off them. I think you have to do what sparks joy because at the end of the day makeup is supposed to be fun, not a chore. I’ve realised panning is not for me. Whilst I like having a few products I focus on with loose goals my collection is just too large to go hard on panning. It’s silly to me to just leave most of my collection to collect dust when I’m hyper focused on a core set of products. I like to just use what I want to and what I fancy on that day, not what I feel I have to. Maybe take a break and see if you miss the restrictions? If you do then you can always go back to it. I think viewers will be here for whatever as we watch for your personality. We may have come for the panning content but stayed for you.
I think Deck of Panning is all most of us need to have fun and use products. Agree though that panning too many things isn’t fun after a month or two. Feels like a chore.
❤️❤️ thank you for leaving your thoughts! I agree deck of panning is fun and I won’t leave the project! I’m excited to see what I will organically reach for!
I support your decision to do less panning and panning projects. I'm happy to see the Deck of Panning project staying and would love to see more GRWMs and Shop My Stash videos. Eyeshadow is my favorite so any more/new videos about that would also be fantastic.
Definitely do content that excites you! I have very few eyeshadow palettes and rarely use them (I’m a one and done cream/liquid eyeshadow girl) but I watch all of your palette videos anyway because I enjoy your personality and usually laugh out loud about something you say! I love seeing people use what they have instead of constantly buying new products. Would love more shop my stash videos and GRWMs…they are my favorites! I tried project panning and didn’t like it…didn’t seem fun to me and while I was bored focusing on the same products, other products were getting neglected…didn’t make sense to me. Now I rotate through my collection every few weeks and love it! I watch Sarah Rose also and she has pivoted away from project panning beautifully…really enjoy her channel as well!
I absolutely love seeing you use your current collection and, of course, new items that you get in PR. I don’t care about the numbers, if you don’t feel about tracking that. PLEASE use what is sparking joy in your life! I applaud you for knowing when you need to make a shift to make you happy. I do get giddy when I see pan 😂 but, i don’t force myself to pan anything.
I am never going to pan an eyeshadow. Or anything else. I don’t stress about it anymore either. I’m just going to enjoy what I have. Do whatever makes you happy. I would love to see more creators showcase “older” eyeshadow palettes that aren’t being talked about anymore but are still available. Since it takes a month or so before most of us get the new releases and when we do, RUclips has moved on to another new release.
I do a non-rolling year long to finish products & then use Deck of Panning & Graveyard to cycle through my products. Do whatever is fun for you and whatever works for you! Also consider seasonal/quarterly refreshes to keep you excited. Or re-draw all cards for DoP if you feel like you want to cycle through more products every month!
Hey Steph! I love a good Shop my Stash and GRWM. You should do what excites you for sure! I could see you doing the rolling 10 pan, Deck of Panning and No Pan Left Behind without being too overwhelmed. I enjoy watching anything you post. ❤
Girl do what makes you happy! I can tell when you enjoy what you’re filming and I stay to the end of those. Makeup is fun and you should enjoy the majority of what you do with it, if u don’t then don’t do it. I’m here to see you.
I have switched my panning goals from finishing to number of uses. I feel like it has helped me rotate through my collection but still have the fun part of panning. However, if you need a break I'd say take a break from the projects that you aren't enjoying. I will definitely be here for eyeshadow content. I have never been into indie brands but you have me watching for the Glaminatrix Nearly Natural restock and all those Einsley Reign special shades!
I took a break from filming and posting any videos on IG this year because of exactly what you said.. it shows when you’re just not as interested in the ideas you have for videos! So take that and run with it, you’re definitely allowed to create whatever you want on this channel! I love the deck of panning so I’d be happy to see that stay and shop my stashes. I think maybe you could do the random element of picking 1-2 things from your collection during your project pan and only have to include it for the 2 week timeframe, that could be a fun nod to whole collection while still getting to reach for whatever you’re liking. You could also focus on rankings or second opinions of what products you’ve pulled into your shop my stashes. There’s tons of wiggle room to take elements of projects people like and just do away with the stagnant having to reach for the same things while newer products aren’t being used. Hope that ramble is helpful!
Thanks for sharing all your honest feels. Tbh, I’m mostly here for project panning, BUT I think a lot of your audience probably is, because you do a lot of it! It’s hard to poll an audience that is pre-selected by your past content…. Like I don’t think you should 100% listen if everyone says they want to keep all the projects lol. I love that you’re asking for your audiences input AND I also think you’re a cool interesting person who should do the kind of content you actually really want. And it will take a few months but then your audience will shift and you’ll have more people who like the new kind of content more. I hope that makes sense… just trying to empower you to make the shift you want to and the audience that loves that kinda stuff will be there!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I definitely won’t step away from panning completely, and look forward to still keeping my year long project. I agree most of my audience likely found me through project panning, and still plan to use what I already own and love in my collection ❤️❤️ thank for you this kind comment and your honest feedback!!
Personally, I prefer the empties videos. They seem more natural because they are products that people genuinely use and enjoy. Maybe like a once or twice a year video on things you were drawn to and hit pan on or eemptied. I love the shop my stash videos too!
Hi Steph, thanks for sharing your thoughts ❤ I have been watching you already for several years and really enjoy socializing with you here. Doesn't matter if you do project paning content or not. I started watching you because of project paning but recently I have been less interested in such kind of content. I also used to do panning before, but not any more. I enjoy just getting excited and inspired for my makeup and use whatever fits the season, my outfit, occasion, or mood. Pushing yourself to do something that you don't enjoy is the worst thing you can do. Please, only make content about topics that truly represent you and give you joy. If you like doing whatever you are doing, others will also like it too. Don't feel any pressure from anyone or for anything. No matter what you choose, I will be supporting you.
Lololol 😂!!! I was looking for my set of highlighters from Kaleidos, and I found that Damn palette you are USING FROM UD, OMGOSH SO FUNNY!! SOME of mine has hard pan 😮!!! 🙏 ❤❤❤what ever you do I love the videos FYI 👍🏻 🙏 😊🤗 🎄 🎅!!! 🌟
Even if I step away from doing as many projects I still plan to create content about what already own and love ❤️ thanks for sharing your feedback on what you enjoy watching! ❤️❤️
I love shop my stashes I’ll be all about that. It’s your channel you do you? I do like the project pan because I’m a regular person and I like to see what people use up because that might be my next one bronzer. It’s your channel you do what brings you joy and we can choose to watch or not. I know that I will be.
I’m here for it all. But my favorite videos from you are you simply sharing and enjoying your collection. Whatever that looks like. Think pallette week style content but with any and all products. Project panning isn’t for me. I get bored too easily. So I just do a weekly sshop my stash to get the use out of everything I own. ❤️ Again I’m here for any content you feel brings you joy. 😊
@@itsjustStephslifeRight now I’m doing the “if I could only keep 25 products” and that’s what’s in my shop my stash. It’s been really fun to see if what I chose actually is working for me or if I find myself needing more. 😂 I think it’s been super fun to do.
I feel like you have such amazing content! You’re one of the most creative RUclipsrs! If you skip out on panning content, I think people will still enjoy and subscribe!
I will watch any project panning content you post but please choose what makes you happy! I have been here since before 5K and it's okay to grow and change that is why your channel has grown because you have come into what you enjoy. I haven't taken a break per se just shifted my focus panning wise and its made me happier. I found that both the partners in cream and graveyard projects have helped me to not be scared of cream products and use up a lot of old lingering stuff so they served me well. Not sure if I will continue with either or just have different projects where pan or using something a number of times is my goal. I want more pans next year. I love your shop my stash as I felt like you used lots of things that way and had fun doing that. I would still love to see you rank blushes etc as you try them and do favourite in each category as well as a chopping block quarterly maybe as you have had a chance to test. Oh and a colour series for singles and palettes I think you could rock the heck out of this so for example blue liner blue eyeshadow palette etc.
Thank you so much girl! ❤️❤️❤️ and thank you for always supporting me! I think shifting away from panning so aggressively will open my up to be even more creative and I’m excited to see what I use organically and new content ideas that spark from organically using my collection ❤️❤️❤️
I’m good with whatever you want to do. I personally don’t project pan even though I like to watch it. Rachel Palmieri does this video where she randomly picks 10 palettes and shares her thoughts on whether she would purchase the palette again or not. And similarly Dolla Momma Beauty picks 10 palettes and ranks them. I am looking forward to see your finale of the palette tournament to see what palette wins. 😊❤️💄
Thank you Michelle! ❤️❤️ I am curious too! It so weird I feel like I’ve been panning for so long that it will be liberating to focus on less and just use what feels right in the moment! ❤️
First of all, it's your channel. If you don't want to film the content or track the products, if it doesn't make you happy, don't do it. The views aren't worth your happiness. Secondly, I feel like I'll watch your channel more without all of the projects. I never watch actual project panning content. I've never understood how people can do so many of them and stay organized. I actually watch more of the makeup usage videos--shop my stash, products I've hit pan on, etc. So, just do what you want to do, and the people who are here for you will stay. That's how I look at it.
I kind of prefer shorter term panning projects, like no pan left behind or 10 use projects. I also like revisiting older products, like was this worth the money? I really enjoyed your videos revisiting your Sephora hauls!
I myself have stepped away from dedicated panning, i understand if it no longer serves you. If you still wanna do projects, i think you should do easy products to finish, so it never feels like a chore. And if you no longer wish to use a product, feel free to switch it up. And you dont have to track as hard, or update every month, maybe quarterly roundups. I dont personally watch indie videos only becauseive stopped buying them for a couple years and will no longer purchase as theyve become too expensive and i have more than enough multichromes and creamy mattes to last a lifetime.
I want you to be happy so I’d say do the project pans you want to do and I’d personally love to see more shop my stashes and grwms since I’m still trying to figure out how to do stuff like that so I can incorporate it into my own channel
I personally don’t like project pans. I’m not on RUclips to see the same products over and over. Heck I don’t even like when a bunch of influencers review the same product in a week lol. Like, I’ve had it up to my eyes with Sephora sale videos 👀. I don’t feel like there’s any reason to try and rush through any products you have. We should be trying to savor our products for as long as we can. Rushing through a product just for the sake of panning it, kind of defeats the joy in using the products. There’s no rush to use up a product 🤷🏻♀️ I love get ready with me videos. I love seeing how different products work on the face and skin. I LOVE eyeshadow tutorials! So that’s just my opinions lol 😂
I actually prefer fewer projects with more progress. I’d be okay if you only did one or two. Not crazy about usage goals. I’d also be into a skincare project, but I find nail polish boring. I’m into shop my stash. I’m really about using existing products and try to watch videos that aren’t about buying new as I’m trying to get away from high consumerism myself. Too much new gives me anxiety, I think that’s why I like Kelly Gooch and Sarah Rose. I love videos where you try one brand on one side of the face and another on the other. Or it doesn’t even have to be by brand but I like to see side by side comparisons. I’d also like to see how makeup that looks different swatched doesn’t actually look that different one the face. I’d also like another Q&A. That one you did was fun! I’m honestly not into eye shadow palettes, 😮, but I’m sure so many other people are and you have to do what YOU love!! ❤
I’d pick one or two that you like most and stick to those. You could do even some GRWM, reviews, 3/5 looks- 1 palette, etc. with those same products so that it’s not just updates. I think videos showing how you can multi use palettes (for lips, face, nails, etc) could also be helpful.
I feel you! I get excited for panning from october to april 😂😂😂 so Im not trying to fight it anymore, and going with smaller projects and smaller goals 😊
Hi Steph I think you need to want to do panning projects or they become a chore. It's a shame you don't want to do usage goals because it allows you to avoid the boredom and cycle through your makeup, whilst still being part of project pans. Most panners have more than makeup in projects so other beauty is fine - it's also much easier to finish a moisturiser than a lipstick so it gives the motivation of success more easily. I think it's really important to choose projects that fit you and prompt based or themed can be fun. At the end of the day it's you who is using this stuff and you have to enjoy doing it or you will burn out and hate it. Whatever works for you has to be paramount. Viewers akways have the decision as to whether they want to watch content or not, but it's your channel and your collection so what's best for you is the only real decision here. Best wishes x
I’m here for everything you do, but if you feel overwhelmed or just over panning atm I’d def recommend scaling back the projects your doing. Could also just be the weather changing and year end goals closing in and stress etc. I know you usually get really excited come January to start a bunch of projects again. So just do what palette context and project content you want personally at the end of the day, it’s YOUR channel.
Would love biweekly shopping my stash+grwms. When it comes to makeup videos, I much prefer seeing a wide variety of people's collections than the same things getting used again and again. Other videos: full face of chopping block makeup, full face of old makeup (a la Theresa is Dead) Definitely down for non-color cosmetic panning. It's always so satisfying to me to finish a sunscreen or whatever
What about if you did something like, pick 4 items or so per category and use each so many times (like 10) before you can swap a product out? It gets you to touch more things in your collection, and there is motivation to go through? I know it is a usage goal and you said you don't like those as much, so maybe it wouldn't work for you.
I personally like anything you put out. Maybe just do like 5 items to project pan and once you're done with those 5 focus on another 5 and just keep going like that. If you still want to keep project panning.
I burnt myself out from panning by starting too many projects. It must be harder for you because you have a RUclips to film content for. I like the panning content but I did also enjoy your thorough review of the Cosmic Beauty Undergrowth palette. I would like to see more. Skincare project sounds good. I plan to figure one out to also get through my products. My favorite panning content to watch is Deck of Panning and No Pan Left Behind (or variation of) for what it’s worth.
I love your project content but I also love your other content! I think people watch you for your personality and opinions on makeup. ❤ I would like more non eyeshadow indie content. Like trying indie foundation or blush.
I still want to do a whole Collection Project Pan, but I think I want to do it more like I pick one product per makeup category versus it being random.
I pretty much only watch eyeshadow projects lol. I think eyemaggeddon sounds like a no pan left behind. You probably dont need both. I prefer grwms over non eyeshadow projects. Im more interested to see what people enjoy using over forcing people to use things they dont want to.
I love project panning content and it's definitely what I enjoy watching the most. However there's nothing exciting about seeing updates where the creator is clearly miserable with the project and therefore doesn't make any progress. I would rather see you do one or two projects and succeed at them :) I think i've said it before but I always feel like you aim too high with your project pans (too many projects, too many products in each project, too high of goals for each product). I feel like that pays a huge part in you feeling burnt out with project panning. You should try to limit yourself to 2 products per category that you're trying to pan max, across all your projects if you end up doing several :)
I love your project pans but understand that it can get tiring. What about trying different projects like 50 Shades or 100 colorful empties so it's not all focused on make up if you don't want it to be.
You do you! Don’t do projects that don’t serve you or make you happy anymore! Would love to see the non-makeup project pan ☺️
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️ I appreciate the feedback and allowing me to feel free to do what makes me happy!! 😊
YES YOU DO U BOO ❤❤❤ 👐
I love the shop my stash type stuff. I personally took a break from panning. I want to more cycle thru all my things and get use for everything. So I do like weekly makeup baskets. Do whatever you feel like, it’s your makeup , you should enjoy it 😁
I agree. I recently slowed my panning projects. I love shop my stash videos, so I will be looking forward to more of those videos
what if you combined your whole collection project with your rolling 10 pan project? you could do 5 products that you choose yourself, and then 5 products randomized from your entire collection. that way you combine it into one video but still get to have both projects!
That’s no a bad idea! I kinda love that! Thank you for leaving ideas and feedback ❤️❤️
Perhaps, do a really short term project pan. Maybe, a year long one is too long. Pick a handful full of products and see how you do with them. No pressure.
I honestly love project pan content and I am sad that so many creators are stopping.
I love them too ❤
I’m here for all the different kinds of content! I personally will go ham on projects because I don’t want to be buying new makeup
❤❤❤ Thank you so much girl! And I totally support you going ham on panning!!! ❤❤❤
Would love to see you keep doing deck of panning and project 10 pan, all the other projects could go! Love panning content, but also like perfume, shop my stash, organization/ chores & hauls content!

❤❤❤ Thank you so much for feedback on what you'd like to see ❤❤❤
I think randomized projects are the most fun ti watch and see how people get creative
Thank you for giving me feedback on what you like to see ❤❤

If you like doing whatever you are doing, others will also like it too. Don't feel any pressure from anyone or for anything. No matter what you choose, I will be supporting you.
I feel 100% the same about panning. I'm so over it besides Deck of Panning. Still love that project
I here for the project panning! Personally, I don't care too much about new releases and reviews.
Thank you so much! ❤️ I won’t abandon project panning completely, but it will feel nice to scale back some and explore other content! ☺️☺️
Again I’m here for any content you feel brings you joy. 😊
Thank you so much Ashlee! I’m excited to enjoy my collection organically for the first time in a really long time! 😍
Shelly you are always so sweet and kind! ❤️ thank you!!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you will be gravitating towards organically and also looking forward to more GRWMs!!:)
I love panning content but whatever you feel inspired to do is what you should do! I will watch you either way!
Will watch every video you put out regardless ❤
❤❤❤ I love you Emily! ❤❤❤
There’s no rush to use up a product 🤷🏻♀️
I love get ready with me videos.
I'm here to stay no matter what you do! I really like shop my stash and GRWM videos 🙂
❤❤❤ Thank you so much!!! ❤❤❤
I’d pick one or two that you like most and stick to those. You could do even some GRWM, reviews, 3/5 looks- 1 palette, etc. with those same products so that it’s not just updates. I think videos showing how you can multi use palettes (for lips, face, nails, etc) could also be helpful.
Good ideas! Screenshotting this comment to come back to for ideas! ❤️ thank you so much for leaving feedback!!
I love your voice so any video, I will be watching 😅 it’s relaxing. ❤
I loved your tournament! Bring it back.
I know!!! I really need to get back to that so badly! I plan to start filming for that this weekend! ❤❤❤
@ life is life. do what you need to do and enjoy your content creation.
I feel you! I get excited for panning from october to april 😂😂😂 so Im not trying to fight it anymore, and going with smaller projects and smaller goals 😊
Yes! So true 😂😂 that is smart to do smaller project with smaller goals!
Thank you ❤️ I appreciate the feedback and supporting whatever feels right ❤️❤️
Would love biweekly shopping my stash+grwms. When it comes to makeup videos, I much prefer seeing a wide variety of people's collections than the same things getting used again and again.
Other videos: full face of chopping block makeup, full face of old makeup (a la Theresa is Dead)
Definitely down for non-color cosmetic panning.
Turned this on to listen to on my drive home but before I started moving I wanted to let you know your eyeshadow is 🔥
Thank you so much Morgan! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ i
You always make great content 💖💖💖
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you so much for leaving your feedback and kind words ❤️ I plant to keep both projects around that you like! Yay!
Chiming in to say i would watch an anything but makeup project!
❤❤❤❤ Yay! Thank you for chiming in!!
I love your project content but I also love your other content! I think people watch you for your personality and opinions on makeup. ❤
I would like more non eyeshadow indie content. Like trying indie foundation or blush.
Thank you so much! And great feedback! I do want to dive into more than just eyeshadow, especially if I’m not focused on panning as much ❤️❤️❤️
I still want to do a whole Collection Project Pan, but I think I want to do it more like I pick one product per makeup category versus it being random.
I was thinking about possibly doing that too! It would feel better then panning a bunch of the same thing!
I pretty much only watch eyeshadow projects lol.
I think eyemaggeddon sounds like a no pan left behind. You probably dont need both.
I prefer grwms over non eyeshadow projects. Im more interested to see what people enjoy using over forcing people to use things they dont want to.
I like all of your content.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I love project panning content and it's definitely what I enjoy watching the most. However there's nothing exciting about seeing updates where the creator is clearly miserable with the project and therefore doesn't make any progress. I would rather see you do one or two projects and succeed at them :)
I think i've said it before but I always feel like you aim too high with your project pans (too many projects, too many products in each project, too high of goals for each product).
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
I don't understand what project panning is... exactly
Hi Shelia! For me project panning is choosing makeup products I am focused on emptying out or hitting a specific goal on ❤️ I hope this helps!
@@itsjustStephslife Thanks Steph. Will watch anything you do.
Maybe stop project panning for 1 year and just enjoy your collection and start fresh again in 2026! ❤
❤❤❤ Not a bad idea! It would be so weird to not pan at all, but would also feel so liberating!
