I actually had a good time with Fighting Lessons. I was playing Practice Makes Perfect in Mark Harrigan and the other player was Wini and always running around, so it was great to have a card I could use for both my fight tests and Wini's evade tests. Though I upgraded out of it pretty quickly once Wini's deck got better. (Though I was also running level 0 Leadership, which stayed in the deck from scenario 1 all the way until scenario 8.) Also I want to note that the FAQ actually says that if you use Silas' ability to pick up Daring, then the enemy does keep retaliate and alert because it says "for the duration of this skill test," but you don't get to draw the card after the test.
I just got the Circle Undone investigator box and had a question because it has me very confused. Maybe I missed where this was explained in the rules but is there no investigator in the set, The Circle Undone, that can use the level 3 Guardian version of the Enchanted Blade or does Carolyn Fern's ability to use horror healing objects override her other rule that says no weapons allowed above level 0? Feels kind of weird they would put a card in a set that no one can use at all.
They do this sometimes. It's a bit weird, but they assume everyone also owns at least the Core Box, so they know people have an investigator who CAN use the card.
I have never been super impressed with Steadfast, but that might just be me. When I'm more worried about passing a test (later in the scenario), it has fewer icons. Which Guardian skill card is most like Russell?
Before I watch, here’s my ranking. I like to see how close I got to what the guys (and Russell) think. Vicious Blow (2) -1 Vicious Blow -2 Take the initiative (3? During Mythos or first action) -3 Daring -4 Overpower -5 Inspiring Presence -6 Defensive Stance -7 Leadership (2) -8 Fighting Lessons -9 Steadfast -10 Intrepid -11 Helping Hand 12 Leadership 13 Self-Sacrifice 14
The Russell Behind You Terror. Cat. Limit 1 per RUclipsr. ➡Pet Russell. Forced: At the end of your video, if you did not perform the above ability: You must either discard all of your followers or discard all of your likes. Then, discard The Russell Behind You.
@@PlayingBoardGames Ha. Richards looks like he's modelled on Don Van Vliet, aka Captain Beefhart... . I wonder if there'll be a trout mask replica in the new cycle. 😂
Even if intrepid worked until the end of the next Mythos phase and gave +1 Will I'm not sure I would play it. It's just a card for a different game. Also, I love that the seat where you sit Travis is the time out chair. Whenever he's there now I'll assume he's done a Russ and is on a time out.
I thought about running by Versatiling it into a Dex deck because it's a fast, cheap way to get an "asset" to discard with his ability. ... then I thought better of it. It might get good if there are more card or effects that discard from play. We've gotten only a few of those. Maybe one day Intrepid will be... not bad.
Russell acting like a whippoorwill today 😸
I'm here to watch Russell's show
"Travis is not here today because he's been a good boy and doesn't have to sit on the time out chair today"
Gotta say the videos are always great but having Russ just being an absolute menace is such a delight to watch! Cats are just great ❤

Yes, I do know that about Daring, but I didn't want to um actually and ruin Bryn's flow. He'll never play Silas, so it won't be an issue.
@@PlayingBoardGames Looool I get it
I really love your videos! Thank you for such a wonderful job!
good video, rankings are pretty much on point

Should be shuffle the russell behind you back to your deck
Isn't the guy on Fighting Lessons the guardian from Hemlock?
No, it's Leo Anderson. Wilson Richards has a moustache and a hat.

Fixing Intrepid: Change the Willpower to Wildcard.
Russ the true elder god
I dont get why you talk so much about this arkham card game in the russel the cat show
