@znovosad555 The housing is white because it houses a white LED hide-a-way and an amber turn signal. This is an additional ordering option that comes from the Ford factory. The White is the reflector for the LED but it will act as the turn signal and parking lights when not in warning mode.
@znovosad555 Ford offers a special version of their headlight for the PPV Utility Interceptor. The clear area allows for the use of Ford's dual LED blinker Module. The module is Amber & White. Amber for the turn signal and parking light, and then separate White Diodes for a warning flash function.
Hey Stewart I just got a quick question. Is it legal to own and drive a retired police ford crown Victoria that still has all the equipment still installed, lights, center console, computer, spot light ect. Because I do currently own one you can check it out if you'd like. I'm just a little skeptical and unsure what to do, because I love the ford crown Vics and I've always loved police lights ever since I was little.
Hey Stewart, is there anyway to get pictures of how the rear bar is mounted? Perhaps on elightbars.org? Or via email? I am also curious how the rear hatch ghosts are turned on? Thanks in advance
Did rocker panel running lights have white, to utilize as left & right alley lights, or only red & blue? Great work fellas, I primarily was only exposed to Federal Signal , when I graduated the academy in 1983, thus I embrace Sound off, because they were the first to engineer the under mount rear view outside mirror 180• warning lights, however Whelen now has a warning, puddle, and flood light, all from the same 180 degree mirror mount. I like FS also because they have unique technology & their lights typically are Tri-Color, this is more productive & economical , because our K-9 handlers requested administration staff if they could utilize their PAR round lights (which fit where Ford SUV driving lights would be mounted) with red, light, amber, on drivers side & blue, white, amber for passengers side. Simply because the K-9 Officers must run code, to keep within a conservative time limitation placed by US Supreme Court, many times they are requested by other counties, as well as State Highway Patrol and run into extremely severe & dense Fog, so they also have a pair of white LED Fog Lights next to the Whelen Par lights. They advise that the amber & white LED Fog lamps have kept them from accidents , even in our metro patrol division, due to vehicles pulling out in front of the K-9 vehicles, whether running code or not. They are allowed latitude to do anything to their new K-9 vehicles as long as it increases safety for the K-9, by lowering the probability of accidents. Some of the differences with their vehicles outfitted & patrol division, is 2 200 watt sirens with 4 100 speakers, Unity double color post spot lights aimed at cross sections turning on when slide is in 3, or depressing a button for steady red or blue, FS ID Roof ID where the antennas & rear, both sides, front are covered again with 3 color FS. We can’t even notice, until they are on while running code. Entire vehicle is tapped with phantom blue & white chevron, and entire rear except for Police in middle, front bumper & hood & 4” of bottom front windshield has phantom blue & white chevrons. Side panel marker lights run red, blue, and white or only white when using as alley lights, this and other things differ from all the patrol division, and we aren’t allowed to take vehicles home because other shifts use our cars, but K-9 new vehicles are placed on patrol after one year, then the K-9 unit gets brand new vehicles again.
The nLine running board lights are available in split formats with White. They're only for warning use; they don't have an override or secondary trigger wire for the White modules. Switching over to the Tracers from Whelen Engineering… you'll find that functionality in the DUO or Trio versions. Thanks for the all the great information :)
These are a recessed version of the Ghost. It's not a conventional one with an added grommet but rather a model made this specific way. Here's a link to them on Soundoff: soundoffsignal.com/product/ghost-led-recess-mount-light/ And if you'd like help with placing an order or have any follow up questions please contact our Sales Team through info@sirennet.com or give them a call at (888) 959-0911. Thanks for watching :)
Hey Stewart, Awesome install. I was wondering if you could tell me how the rear hatch lights are activited? Are the on even when the hatch is closed or do they come on just when the hatch is opened? Also is there anyone to get pictures of how the rear bar was mounted? Via email or elightbars.org maybe
On this SUV, the bottom hatch mounted Ghost Lights are activated on the nErgy Siren & Lighting Controller via the slide-switch. If you would like them to operate with the hatch opening and closing, you can wire them onto their on rear hatch area mounted switch, or, you can wire them to the OEM cargo light trigger wire so that they active with the cargo lights when the hatch opens.

For legality based questions, we recommend checking with your States DOT or State Patrol Office.

You guys forgot to mention the PTW (Park Turn Warn) lights in the turn signal
Good eyes :) We wanted to highlight the great Soundoff products with these being part of Ford's road-ready package options.
