    When I switched to carnivore my stool became firm and at the same time every day. I also never have gas anymore. As someone that has always had digestive issues it has changed my life not feeling the constant indigestion that I used to have.

    Paul, you are a fantastic new voice in this arena. I love that you don't dumb anything down (yet manage to make it very understandable), are evidence-based, respectful, and are not ego driven. An intelligent thinker and great communicator. You're a very welcome voice in the carnivore arena, and one I will keep watching. :)

    Started carnivore on 12/30. After having a touch of what must have been a mild keto flu for about a day and a half, I am feeling great. Already sleeping better. My need for coffee seems to have suddenly gone which is a big deal since I can down a pot of coffee all by myself. That was completely unexpected. I am excited to see where this leads. Thanks for all the good info and support!

    I have a friend who was recently stricken with pancreatitis and in ICU for a week...almost died. He was a strong body builder in his past and had a stocky muscular build. I am so thankful for this video and am going to start sharing your videos and a few other carefully selected carnivore related videos that have supporting info and hope that these videos will be like tools for education so that he can learn and devour the incredible info that is pouring in from 'real' Dr.s and also the floods of anecdotal testimonials of others who are TRULY benefiting from this return to humans eating as we are designed to. Thank you for putting so much good information out and THANK YOU for mentioning when the existing information has NO SUPPORTING EVIDENCE...everyone has been told how bad meat is and how great plants are to eat...without being able to back it up with documentation (which seems to be how rumors start and how a lot of medical pros spread mis information and wrong information...)
    THANK YOU! (do you have any book recommendations??)

    Thank you Paul. A very helpful video. I am in the process of moving from keto to carnivore. All the time on keto, which has been 3 years now, my stools have been mostly loose suddenly after meals. With the switch to carnivore they are becoming more consistent. I think part of my problem was adding too much fat into my keto diet through my morning routine of bulletproof coffee, butter, heavy cream and mct oil. Meals always included avocados which may not have agreed with me. Looking forward to more videos from you.

    Started carnivore diet really unintentionally about six weeks or so ago. I was good established keto for couple years plus so it was really easy. I wouldn't recommend going straight from a "standard diet" to carnivore as I think that would be a great shock, ease into it with keto first - then carnivore. The benefits are amazing! And as others have posted - once established you will NOT OVEREAT! The "I'm full" signal hits you like a punch and stays with you for a long time. .! I had about. .maybe 5 or 10 pounds more I wanted to lose but just couldn't seem to on keto. I would crave the keto treats :). However on carnivore I've had less and less cravings and really none at all now. ... except COFFEE!!!... but I don't think that has anything to do with what I eat. .. I love COFFEE!! LOL! I'm losing the few extra pounds left over from keto (about 60 total) and my lean muscle mass is doing great, I'm in my 60s so retaining muscle mass is suppose to be hard to do, but actually I've been gaining mass ever since I started keto and carnivore seems like a booster to top prior results! Happy Carnivore Month!

    hey paul, i just discovered your chanel, glad you started this, especially as an MD so keep it up :D
    Maybe at some point in the future you could talk a little about the Role of salt or more specifically how (much) you apply to your food.. my concern is not that im getting too little, but perhaps too much. i know that excess salt is flushed out, importance of drinking enough water and so on. what i experience some days is simply descriebed as bloating combined with a headache and i suspect its my salt to water ratio, but i'm definitely not getting "too little" of either. the balance is the problem. salting to taste doesnt quite work for me since i still have this issue. also the salt - sodium "confusion" is not so easy to get right.
    i've been doing carnivore for a month and have done Keto in the past ( where i had this issue as well sometimes) and also had this same problem some times .figuring it out by watching my intake didn't help to clearify enough because it seems to me, either end of this balance ( one of them being either to high or to low) causes the same symptoms.. water retention and headache..
    keep it up and sorry for the spelling, english is not my native language :) thanks

    Great info about the short chain fatty acids for colonocites. This was something I was a bit concerned about given that I have colitis and am thus at risk for colon cancer, but a carnivore diet with herbal antimicrobials and raw milk yogurt are the only protocol that has worked to knock down the (largely candida) infection that is a central piece to my gut inflammation puzzle. Even a healthy paleo diet, minus starches, was leaving me with brain fog, stomach aches, gas and bloating, but I think my current plan is healing my gut, and it's good to know I'm also producing food for my colonic epithelial cells.

The results showed that meat, with the exception of chicken thigh, is not an important supplier of vitamin E, not even from animals fed a vitamin E enriched diet. "

    I think it may be easier to go keto then carnivore, but that is just the way I have gone. I can't believe you eat so many calories each day. I feel guilty when I get over 3000, but I still have around 80 lbs to lose. Down 52 in 6 months on keto.

I'd really like to start it again but a few days in I got extremely anxious and couldn't understand why, and it just wouldn't go away. Any tips on how to ease into it and avoid that?

    Mine did not resolve. I have been keto for over 5 years and decided to give carnivore a try, I got really bad diarrhea which lasted for 2 weeks. I then became constipated, which led to a massive perianal abscess, which led to an emergency operation, as I could no longer poop or pee. I am now incontinent and pissed.

    Thanks for the uploads.
    I've been carnivore for over 4 months and my stool is almost always watery with solid. I eat mostly red meat, eggs, some fish , butter. Recently added raw grass fed beef liver and making my own bone broth. I also started some fasting and one meal a day for autophagy benefits, I've already lost the weight I wanted to lose(40lbs).
    Any ideas what my problem might be? Would something like ox bile help me?

    • @Paulsaladinomd
      @Paulsaladinomd  5 лет назад

      Adding ox bile may make the loose stool worse, actually. When folks have persistant loose stool I usually recommend a stool profile (like GI MAP) to see if there are other things going on (dysbiosis, parasites, pathogens, etc.).

      Where are you reading hundreds of post of people eating "excessive " meat having these problems. I've been watching lots of videos and reading comments I've yet to hear about this continuing on with diet.
      I used to eat lots of fiber,fruits and vegetables every day and I had gas, bloating, overall discomfort compared to now.

    • @akasuzq1970
      @akasuzq1970 5 лет назад

      @The Natural Health Blogger The individual aspect of this diet IS very frustrating - no two gut biomes are the same. It's hard to know who to trust and what's real when every story is different.
      I suspected my gut had been impacted by PPI I took a few years ago. One of the consequences of that damn drug is that I have to be careful with NSAIDs. My stress levels also have a huge impact on my digestion - along with my pesky female hormones.
      However, I had no problem transitioning into a mostly meat diet during the first two weeks; I kept eating small amounts of greens and sometimes fiber, to ease my way into this style of eating. However, I had no constipation lasting more than 2 days - which was normal for me - and never had loose stools.
      I did eventually stop eating all plants and grains for a short time, about 30 days, but I have gone back to eating small amounts occasionally; my goal has always been to keep my carbs under 100 grams per day, but most days it's under 50. Nevertheless, I changed my personal biome enough that eating fiber too often actually slows my digestion down (not enough to cause constipation), but I can feel the difference internally.

    I have been on the carnivore diet for almost 5 months now and have great energy, libido, focus, etc. Thanks to you.
    However, I have been having intermittent constipation (never had that in my life before), and it had gone into a stage where I had developed thrombosed hemorrhoids. If anyone has had that before you know the pain.
    My question to you @CarnivoreMD is - what am I doing wrong? I tried increasing my salt and fat intake too but that has not solved the problem. I literally had to take psyllium husks to have softer stool along with heavy painkillers & ointments from a GP to recover from the hemorrhoid pain.
    Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    What happens to people with bile stones? When crises are triggered by eating too much fat? This is a genuine question because a friend of mine would like to try carnivore but had last year been sent to the hospital for probably passing a small stone
    Can you give your professional advice please.

    • @missloretta
      @missloretta 5 лет назад

      I used to have gallbladder pain in the beginning, but now I never do. Stones form when you're not emptying your gallbladder enough and the bile just sits there and precipitates. I actually think this is a great diet for healing gallbladder issues, but you have to be patient, and you really might feel some stones pass in the beginning, so maybe transition slower if it's too much.

    If my blood sugar range still seems high is it because my body is bringing that glucose out of my cells and trying to use it during the transition? My glucose is staying around 115 which I had been doing keto before hand and then went about a month consuming lots of berries, watermelon, figs and cherries all organic but still high carb. I never had keto flu but I have been feeling tired since starting carnivore but of course it's only been a week of strict carnivore just looking for some feedback. Thanks!
