One of the top family sailing channels out here, cheers
Wow, thanks! 🎉🙌
Yes! 🎉
Excelente! Loved the sailing, fishing, and discussion.
Much appreciated!
Congrats on a great crossing, and smart move avoiding the norther in the Gulf Stream.
Thanks!
Great episode. It's cool to watch that spinnaker fly.
It's gorgeous!
Thank you! We love flying the spinnaker, it's just perfect!
Great episode!! Loved every second...thanks for showing us how to adjust plans when weather makes chagnes.
Thank you for the kind comment 🙂 learning to dodge weather is a lesson we're glad to have learned!
Effin huge 🐠!!!! Awesome! 😍
🙌🍻
Nice sail; Welcome back to America.
Thanks! It's good to be back
Cool beans, stay safe.
Thx, 👍 will do!
That island is just gorgeous!
Congrats on two great fish. Which tastes better?
The makerel was super yum in sushi, but the Mahi is probably best all around!
To me, ducking in is almost always the right move-especially with thunderstorms and night.
Sailing (or general aviation flying) to a schedule just adds risk. The pros get paid to manage those risks for a living. (Many, many more tools, resources and experience.) it’s been fun watching y’all develop your skills while cruising! (Hence, the beers and bottle in D’ville😉)
Yep, I think we favor avoiding uncomfortable/risky scenarios. Just see no reason to risk it. And yes....the beers and bottle were yum! Thx!! 🙏
I think this season we are aiming to slow right down and not rush anywhere. Sailing to a schedule always sucks , so if we don’t have to be any place we are just going to wait until conditions and weather is right. I think you was right to dart in to avoid a storm
It just makes sense, doesn't it, to sail when it's enjoyable 😀 🙌
@@TheFosterJourney Yeap. We are heading south tomorrow along the ICW from Norfolk with two other boats . SV Islay and SV Another Summer. Should be a good and interesting trip
Smart move dodging the norther
Thanks, we've learned that's the thing to do!
Same path, same weather, we ducked in at Canaveral and got Mexican food. Missed you in Brunswick :)
Yum! 😋 It's the best
Great episode! I would have dodged the weather too. Good call in my book👍
It's always nicer chilling with friends at anchor than sailing through lightning bolts, lol
No Nap Matt 😂
Lol
OK, so spill the beans; where is the awesome mex food in Ft Pierce?
It's down by West Marine. taco Tuesday is when we went. Good tacos!
@@TheFosterJourney thanks! Been looking for good mex food since we moved to FL last year; it looks yummy so we will go give it a try!
@@jimtoman2821 if it's not as good as we say, let's just chalk it up to being the first thing we eat after being at sea for a few days. 😉 Cause that's the only time we come through Ft Pierce, after being at sea. 🌮🍻
Given the odds of a lightning strike, I'd duck into Canaveral, maybe catch a Space-X launch and go looking for a new Mexican restaurant. And come on! Mexican in Florida ain't exactly Ninfa's original, is it?
Ooh yes! That's a good plan
Yes, we're total fans of finding new mex food...even if it's only 85% of Ninfas. 🙌
Was that anchorage at West End in that basin at Old Bahama Bay?
Ginn Sur Mer. It has an interesting back story.
Where did you check into the States at?
Check in process is via an app called CBP Roam.
Where is the anchorage at west end ?
There's a point south of Old Bahama Bay Marina - Settlement Point. This anchorage is 1.5NM south of that point.
@@TheFosterJourney thanks hopefully Wednesday !
What’s the name of the Mexican place in Fort P?
I don't know, lol. It's next to the West Marine.
Heading to Brunswick Land Marina? If so, tell Michael Torras I (Patrick Webb) said hi, and I will eventually get there (heading to the Bahamas in Dec, may come to BLM after)
