- Today I answer an age old question... Can you complete Poly Bridge 2 using cheese methods, architect style thinking and glitches?

"this isn't engineering, this is abusing physics"
... isn't that exactly what engineering is?
Idk is it?
@@Jithym Maybe idrk
Uh yes that is engineering
if you're showing off while doing it, it's a dangerously close approach to architecture
“I can’t believe my own nephew would say something so horrible.”
Using cheese to beat Poly Bridge makes you a Swiss Engineer.
As a Swiss engineer - I approve.
All our best bridges have an Emmentaler substrate. Also, Toblerone beams.
Disclaimer: I am a *software* engineer. My claims about Swiss civil engineering are subject to my complete ignorance on the topic.
idk, your theory has tons of tiny holes.
@@Torrengen ...
That’s a ‘Cheesy’ joke
Still a fairly cheesy joke, but it’s grater than the others
*"I am sure no one abused it for the leaderboard"*
--_Real Naive Engineer, 2022_
Then you see minecat at the top
The fact you could launch the cars so perfectly to the end makes it look like it was intended
Angry cars
This is definitely my favorite and best way to complete the game.
Lactose intolerant architects do not approve of this video
Yes
I love how Matt still hates dangling road despite using falling road and various catapults.
This cheese strat review is GREAT. The cheese combined with the RCE commentary. Chefs kiss
To be fair though, the optimal solutions for most of these seem to be somewhere around 40% engineering and 60% cheese.
Matt is the best combination of Dad Jokes and College Humor I have seen in years.
Finally so good to see Matt Playing the channel Orginal Series, few of his old ones for which i feel in love with this channel . Poly bridge really is made more entertaining and enchanted by Matt's Commentary. Great job to play it again . Those were some cheesy puns .😅😂
I thought that the cheese puns could have been grater
Due to inflationary pressures, the next US infrastructure plan will be named Build Back Cheddar
Hold up, the cheese(y) puns have to return, they were freaking ridiculous!!
Matt building dangling roads... Blink twice if ur kept hostage
“Sandwiched between this guy’s face and his D.”What other context is there RCE?
So much cheese. I want a grilled cheese now
Good question...
That was such a good laugh. I've enjoyed switching on my engineering mind to keep up with your genuine projects, but this Cheese business is too good.
I was nervous I almost thought you left the strongest shape off of the poster
At 6:30 there is actually an easier way to do the bug. All you have to do is build a road from a point, then right-click to select it, then hold Shift to enter the movement menu, then hold left-click to move, then press d to delete it . (you have to hold shift and left click the whole time) Then go with your mouse wherever you want the road to end and just press Esc. Then you can undo it by just pressing z and there should be your road :)
thanks this helped alot lol
"Is speedrunning engineering?"
I'd argue it is. The purpose is to get the most efficient (in this case, fastest) result for the least effort.
Oh man, that fire truck solution had me in stitches! I don't know why, it's just funny as hell
🧀The cheese pun’s where top tier!
Were*
Puns
We need a cheese chain of 🧀
They were more cheesy than normal
Beating a Game about Bridges without using Bridges:
Rules #1: Buy a boat.
Rule #2: Just use the damn boat.
Rule #3: All you had to do was follow the damn train CJ!
Not sure what the last one has to do with anything but I URGE anyone named CJ to just follow the damn train, ya dig? Giggity Diggity Giggity.
I've never played Polybridge, or any computer game other than the original Diablo, yet I intrigued by all of your videos on PB1or2. That's all I watch of yours. It's very intriguing
i would love to see Matt play Snowrunner, imagine the amount of "bridge reviews" per episode lol I mean the first mission is to help build a bridge
This video reminded me that Poly Bridge is the reason I started watching this channel. Thanks for the good times, and cheers!
I really like the videos where you talk through the process like this one. Gives me Reid Captian vibes.
Speedruning is engineering, but you do it as fast as architect fails
4:30 You went down 3, not down 4; hence it failin
0:30 your nacho self when you cheese punning
Ok, that t
Swing that took the firetruck to the other side, pure engineering.
This is the truest form of engineering ive ever seen. Just make it work. That's all that is important.
I love speedrunning behind the scenes, technique reviews :D
That fire truck stunt was epic!
6:30 there is a much easier way to do it, right click the node, then hold left shift, then hold left click, then release left shift, then press d, then drag cursor to where you want it to go, then press esc+z
If anyone wants to know why the breaking roads launch the vehicles, it has to do with the developers making a change that made cheezing the unbreaking leaderboards next to impossible. In those situations the roads normally wouldn’t break, but there is a large perpendicular force applied to forcibly break them which was implemented with the intent to prevent falling roads from ending up on the unbreaking leaderboards. For some reason, the force can be transferred to the vehicles and can slingshot them long distances in a really stupid way.
i thought he meant like swiss cheese with the holes and stuff so a bridge with lots of holes in the road
Dangling road just takes advantage of the high tensile strength of the road compared to its compression strength. All roads should dangle
Love the videos, i think you would like space engineers it seems really fun.
This should be a series.
I do appreciate how you diversified you cheese portfolio, Matt, and didn’t stick to one cheese.
I really want to see a return to this in the rest of the game
Wow, thank you for recommending Arglin. It's absolutely amazing. His home video about his best bridges is so beautiful, I couldn't believe what I saw!
Another Real Cheesy Engineer vid, cool.
You must’ve thought those puns through Caerphilly.
Matt: let’s use cheese Cheese: Cest Tragic
Love the puns in the intro!
Loved the cheese puns!
a bit too cheesy tbh
The intro was legendary 😂👌🏻
The firetruck swing one is something you'd find in a fast and furious movie
Yes! More polybridge!!
FINALY A POLYBRIDGE VIDEO!!!!
I hope more of poly bridge ist so cool and funny to watch if you do ot
Hey Engineer Matt! I bought timberborn because of your gameplay and Oh my word I spent 10 hours in one day just growin my placeout
the swing is amazing
If this stuff worked IRL people would absolutely be doing it to build bridges.
How unexpected that the poly bridge videos are always the funniest...
I am absolutely irrationally delighted by the swing bridge in 1.08
You should look at other people's solutions for this poly Bridge game and do Bridge reviews on it
The bridge is made of cheese, Grommet!
Challenge suggestions: try doing the challenge levels without using static joints.
Speedrun engineering is basically meeting your tomorrow deadline
Loved the cheese puns
Best RUclipsr of all
You should play more kerbal space program
all of those cheese types just flew over my head lol; only ones i know are nacho and cheddar
I realy love It oneof the best vids
i love your videos
I was eating soup while waching this and I litteraly spit it out when I heard the cheese jokes
YAY PUNS!
I love this channel.
those were some good cheese puns
@6:22 "shout out to mein kampf"
You should play mindustry its a tower defense game that i think you will like
Amazingly awesome
12:29 pew that was close
I’ve found the ultimate challenge to see if you are still a real civil engineer.
Beat a world from the later half of poly bridge two, but: the bridge has to be reusable (not just no breaks), the cars must not land on anything other than their wheels, cars may not ride each other, and the bridge must be under budget.
RCE I really think you should play crashtastic, also I love your vids!
0:37 You could say they were, cheesy jokes
nice video
Somehow i like this more than you playing the game normal
What the haloumi? :D I don't think I've spent so much time giggling/cackling maniacally in a long time. Now I really want to learn the speedrun for this (y'know, after I finish beating all my friends' scores in PB1).
I only have PB2
thanks RCE
Learning your cheeses with RCE
I wanna know what's up with cheese. This is the second notification I got with cheese involved 😂😂😂
these puns are fenominal!
3:11 "Aww man I must have been on one that day"
I'm sorry, you were on a *sturdy structure* that day? I hope you trussed the tunnel with springs and not steel!
Omg the puns were award worthy!
Yay more poly bridge
It's a big investment of time, but I would love to see you Speedrun polybridge 1 or 2 if you're down
Try to make a bridge that can support a 250 pg vehicle in sand box
cheese puns are so bad they are funny 🤣
11:33 that is cool
As someone from the Netherlands, I just know it's gonna work
Oh no help us all. he's gone completely emmental!
11:28 the best one 😂
the first jump.
yeah thats right.
the previous ones where flying that didnt count
Ah Cheese puns are totally Cheezy
3:46 "go down 4" *goes down 3*
0:49 nice
*James May slaps block of cheese onto counter* Cheese
This video was even funnier cause I got a cheese ad lol
you should play getting over it
"This isn't engineering, it's just abusing the physics"
Soooo... architecture?
