long time bread machine user (like 24 years making 1-2 loaves of bread every week) ... pro tip: put your bread pan on your digital scale, turn the scale on, the scale 0's to the weight of the bread pan, then when you add your ingredients to the bread pan it shows the weight you added. Press tare button when moving to a new ingredient, the scale 0's to weight of bread pan + current ingredients so you don't have to math in your head. This insures your ingredients are all accurate and doesn't dirty up more dishes that need cleaned. Efficiency is key!
You're a lifesaver! Perhaps a bit strong on the praise, but here's how you helped me. I purchased my bread maker about a year ago and yet to make my first loaf. Well, today was going to be the day, but I misplaced my owner's manual/recipe book and could not figure out how to remove the bread pan. And that's how you saved me from being a loaf-oaf. Thanks.
Well I've had my KitchenArm for a month and a half now and have to say I'm quite pleased with it. I was unsure at first about having a square baking pan as I previous S;unbeam had a rectangular pan, but the square pan means turning the bread on it's side to slice the bread which equates to having all bread slices being the same size which did not happen with the rectangular pan. Now that big mixer hole at the end of the loaf - I slice that one off first, break break it up and freeze the pieces - after 5-6 loaves I have enough to make some bread pudding - throw in a few raisins and I have bread pudding once or twice a month.
I'm so happy you reviewed this machine. Every year I buy myself a Christmas present (or 10). I bought this machine on Amazon after reading about all its functions. It also had really good reviews, was priced well and it was on a flash sale for 89 dollars. (Im worth 89 dollars, right?)(right???) It has been sitting in its box unopened since around Thanksgiving. Honestly, I've been too intimidated by it to open it and have to read what I figured about 1000 pages of instructions. I'm so happy you showed me that it wasn't bad at all! I think I can do this now, as I've been wanting to use it very badly. If you truly didn't run to your neighbor's house and steal their fresh baked bread from their bread machine to pose as your own - I'm very impressed! *PBJ would have been my choice too, besides a big ol' dollop of whipped butter. I will most certainly watch your video again when I open the box in the morning. ❤️ thank again!
Thank you for sharing this information, I'm buying a machine from Amazon and it was great to watch you show the steps from the beginning. As a novice I don't want to waste money. Thank you again. You're the best...great cooking and Happy holidays
I have this same machine and love it! It has all the features so an expensive zojirushi machine but 1/3 the price. The 1 negative is that the bread doesn’t not come out of the pan without using a spatula to loosen the sides from the pan.
Hi Abby 👋 I’m Abby 👋 I’ve also got a Kitchenarm maker and just started my first load of sourdough bread in it this morning. Started my first starter 6 days ago. 🎉 fingers crossed 🤞🏻
I just wiped down the heating elements with a damp sponge with a little Dawn then wiped it cry with a paper towel. I never got any smoke or burning smell. But the sponge and towel were a little dirty.
sooo awesome to have found this video, just started making bread yesterday with it, and it amazing! have you planned on making any other kinds of bread making videos?
@@semi-homesteading Rye bread with Caraway seed would be a good one (Dark Rye flour ) I ordered this machine (Kitchenarm) today I will keep my old (1980) machine for emergency or lots of people LOL!! Very excited for my new investment to arrive...looking for a good recipe for NY or Montreal rye bread.I am also wanting to try sourdough and since I am not familiar with how it is made.could you recommend a reliable recipe site?? Thanks for any help.
Am very confused on when to add my seeds to my Wheat bread (6). I never heard a beep. Add-ins are important to me as I will be making different breads using this format.
im going to start sourdough starter and attempt sourdough bread in my Amazon Basics bread machine. It doesn't have a sourdough button so i guess ill wing it!!! When my Amazon Basics bread machine dies im getting one like yours. The description says it remembers your settings and thats what makes it "smart"!🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞
Bought this unit for the wife who makes bread by hand. We tried it a couple of times. She says the quality of the loaf it makes is a waste of flour. When she is making bread she can monitor every step in the process and determine when and how a step may need to be altered. The machine is preprogrammed. And the end product is vulnerable to being a collapsed block of cooked dough.. We're sending the unit back. But it was at least a good experiment.
I'm glad ur wife is so good at making bread but for ppl like me, I've made countless loaves tried all kinds of recipes even an old family recipe and I some how ruin every load 😊 I need this
Yes! It is used to get the paddle out if it gets embedded into your loaf of bread instead of staying attached to the bread pan when you dump out the loaf
@@semi-homesteading My understanding is they have the best customer service ... if it's not too late the[y will do all they can to help...even send a new one. but this may be too late for advice since it is an older site... don't even know if t's still working... hope so!

Thank you! Congrats on the first loaf!
Smiling 😊 at your success 😊
Thanks for sharing! I bought myself a bread maker last Christmas. I love being able to make homemade bread with only a few minutes of work.
Agreed! I love how easy it is to use!
Thank you for being just as flummoxed as I was at the step to wait 30 minutes and then to wait 2 hours! I skipped that part too 😂
Glad I’m not alone!
What did you do to Burn Off the oils for your KBS Bread Maker? / Settings
I just turned the machine on Bake for about 15 minutes and then let the machine cool!

How do you set the alarm to remove the paddles? I believe default is off, and it must be activated. Instructions are tricky.

"New bread knife, perfectly sharp" she says as she cuts against metal and drags the blade back and forth across it.
