Excellent, excellent video! I hit a deer in my old Cherokee and went to the dealership just to price something new. One test drive and i was sold! I'm still leaning about the features that this thing has and you taught me a ton. Definitely gonna like and subscribe, brother.
Diamond black pearl is not the only option on the 4xe. Ours is velvet red and there is white at no extra charge, then a few other colors as well. But it is kind of hard to find one with an interior that is not all black. Our 4xe has the tan interior like this one.
Not to be a nit picker, but at 1:49 you mention "You get a conventional differential front axle with disconnect". I'm not sure what feature you are referring to here. Can you please explain? I think what you're actually trying to say is that you have a transfer case whereby you can place the vehicle in 2H, and run in rear wheel drive only, allowing the front axle assembly to spin freely. Is this what you're getting at?
You’re driving on the e-save mode (note the third from left blue led is on) so you’re essentially driving and reviewing a traditional gas car, and didn’t get any assistance from battery…and you didn’t really test the hybrid or the pure EV mode. No?
You have misexplained the MPGe figures on this video. MPGe is not a combination of mileage that can be achieved with gas and battery power combined. MPGe is a statement describing the combined City and Hwy mileage achieveable on Battery Only. MPGe stands for Miles Per Gallon Eqivalent, which in turn means, for a gallon of gas you get a certain amount of power for propulsion, and the EPA has decided you can get 33.7 kW of energy out of a gallon of gas, so for every 33.7kW you add to your battery you're getting about a gallons worth of energy density for propulsion, and with that electric equivalent you can go a certain # of miles depending on the efficiency of the motor(s). It's kind of a bullshit measurement, but that's what the industry has settled on for now. MPGe is extremely misleading and makes the public feel like they're getting more than they actually are. So you're not alone here brother. Even motorweek got it wrong with their Grand Cherokee 4xe review!

The diamond black pearl paint was the only option on this particular 4xe!
The bag under the cargo floor contains your level one EVSE (Charger) NOT jack stuff

AND there no one pedal driving, it does not come to a stop. and you do have to use brakes if you plan on stopping
I didn’t say there was one pedal driving, I said it was similar to one pedal driving with the max regen button on. And it comes damn close to a stop.
With the new year coming, how much will a 2022 like this one cost?
I just got this one for $41k. Had less than 3000 miles. I think it may have been used as a rental. Good luck!
What I mean is how much will 2024 depreciation be on a 2022 4xe JC?
I’m not sure. Time will tell

E save is better - less clunky imo
Just leased one they practically gave it to me, not sure what's going on with Jeep right now
Oh really? What do you mean? How good of a deal did they give you?
@@SeanNelsonPhoto 5k down 449 month on a 22 summit leftover, lease with 10k miles
@@cigarmann Just tried to get their 2023 GC Trailhawk 4xe down to 42k. Almost.
Great review! Let me add though that those who "care about horsepower" are better off with the 4xe, NOT the V8.

I'm two months late!! Also I still buy it bro.
Btw, fantastic features video. Better than my salesman!
Thank you!
Lost me with the bag in the trunk being a jack then some other parts. It’s the charger, big miss for a PHEV car review .
Yeah I don’t do phev reviews often so I’m not very good with them yet lol
