Its a good anime with way too real family issues! The’ve got trauma issues, abuse and a lot of stress on them, but they are amazing and the anime has a good message, it even has touched on LGBTQ+ stuff.
As a person lgbtq+ community when they were talking about that it touched my heart. this honestly goes way past representation, it feels like experience
They did a great job at expressing the discussions of the LGBTQ+ Community. As well as hitting on the topics of those abuses. But the ending of the show man, just dang
I know a common critisim of the anime (from what I have seen) that it's unrealistic or too cynical for every character to have some extreme heavy backpack, and IDK how common it is. But from my own experience, I've not met a single friend that doesn't have such extreme stories, and I think having a show out there with this kind of representation helps in some way, especially showing the changes. bit of a ramble but I've seen this criticism often enough to get annoyed by it. But in the end it's my personal opinion to disagree Dx Anyways, just found your channel and I'm loving the content, and I actually quite like the more rambly style!
Glad you liked it! Ive seen that criticism too. Now i wish heavy baggage on an entire group of people is unrealistic. I can understand people not liking that but Stars Align handled it very well, and it is always a good message that people arent alone
@@WeebRevolution Yeah, it's terrible it's so common and I agree, the show did handle it wel? though I do wish it gets a season 2 to expand on it, i read they had planned 24 episodes but had to cut it down to 12 so there is enough content I'm sure. The show realy gets the message across well, I figure if it didn't it wpuld be quite a hard watch aha ;;
Shonen Ronin your ramble style sort of feels more calming and chill to be honest. It’s like you’re talking to a friend and just living life happily for that short break during school.
Why would people think it's unrealistic for multiple kids to have at home problems? I deal with bad anxiety and an accepting family, two of my friends' parents have divorced or are close to getting a divorce, one was suicidal and has been screwed over by people too many times, 3 of us are LGBTQ+. There's four of us and we all deal with so much shit. It felt more realistic to me that all these kids had some problems, bc usually most kids do.
After watching this I have 1 question for you: Can you give a list of Left messaging Anime? I used to be into Anime more, but I outgrew standard Shonen and your channel is getting me back into it. Also, my wife loves anime so it's an easy thing to watch with her.
I dont have much battery left so maybe Ill try to get a better list later Peguindrum Carole and Tuesday Kaiji Any show by studio Trigger The Promare movie is insane The Promised Neverland Alright ill try to make a better list when my phone isnt dying
The fcking ending sucked literally left the biggest plot hole, dang near tear a part of my heart out when I found out it probably won’t get a new season.
It’s on Hulu where I watched it, but if you don’t have Hulu it’s on the Funimation app for free, Funimation and Hulu often partner up to produce anime’s on their services too so it’s 100% legal.
Little gem of a channel I managed to find I do watch a few too many openly leftist channels now that I realize, might work on that later Hope you the best with your channel!
I don't know about all that, this show seems to me like a particularly edgy teenage melodrama/power fantasy. Maybe I'm being cynical here but all the high emotional moments for the main character came off as kinda ridiculous when alongside his hyper productive genius character type, makes him feel like a edgy take on a power fantasy shonen character rather than a real human being with an actual personality and actual flaws. And it seems like the show is just every character has some massive parental-based emotional baggage with very little other story or character development. Like the school president, I know from a narrative perspective they are working back to her callousness toward the boys tennis club, but it feels to me like laziness to create such wantonly mean side characters and then just throw 3-4 minutes of backstory in a few episodes later to rationalise it. I feel as if the show misunderstands creating complexity in character motivations with just everyone huge emotional problems. So all the characters are just guided by this one traumatic event or relationship rather than many facets of personality and previous experience which make up a real human being. People don't need a trauma in their lives to feel angry or depressed if they are frustrated about being bullied or left out in school or their poor performance at tennis or about their club being shut down. The whole show just seems like a cynical attempt at melodrama, granted I have only seen the first 5 episodes but I just couldn't take it seriously anymore.
Maki is probably way too overpowered for having been playing for like a week, the show seems to poke fun of that because according to episode 7 it was because he used to catch cockroaches with chopsticks. ive seen other melodramatic shows like hanebado and this one feels really toned down in comparison. These characters are a lot more just likes boys who arent very complex to begin with, grass hoppers you could say 😂. I recommend watching the next 2 episodes because it only focuses on the practice match so its a change of pace. I understand these complaints but im resonating with this show and enjoying it while some other melodramatic shows are just misses
It’s so underrated whenever I see someone make a video about it I get so happy! So thank you

same 😊
Ok I just finished it and I loved it way too much like it goes on deep topics involving the real world

Sounds like a slightly better done hanebado
my thoughts exactly honestly xd
I just watched the ED and I already love it. I needa watch it. I hope it's like Haikyuu, it might get me into tennis lol
It’s not like Haikyuu lmao
The fact that it’s not like Haikyuu is what makes it unique
@@kiroao Exactly, I'm guessing the person just didn't watch the video yet..
It’s not like haikyuu it’s better they don’t take the sport like life or death. They touch so many real life issues.
Also I’m guessing you haven’t watched the video yet
I. Need. Season. 2
