That’s actually not accurate. Dodo Birds famously didn’t taste good and while the Dutch sailors still ate them from time to time the main reason for their extinction came from the invasive animals the sailors brought with them.

Humans were mainly responsible for extinction of dodo. It tasted bad , still man killed it to get meat. It was a friendly bird and had never encountered humans and hence it has no fear for humans. It was an easy prey.
Fun fact:the Dutch called them walg vogels because they where not tasty, but just big enough to feed the entire crew

Here is the full story of the dodo bird
Dodo’s first started out as pigeons. The pigeons migrated to the Mauritius island once the pigeons arrived they realised there were no predators and there was a lot of food so they stayed. Over time they didn’t need to fly or run so they evolved into big birds with little wings which is known as the Dodo. England or Ireland came to the island and brought dogs,cats,rats and many other species of animals, since the dodo lived a life without predators it became fearless, literally. When the dodo saw dogs and other animals it thought it was a friend because it never dealt with predators so since the dodo never flied or ran when the dogs attacked them they quickly got wiped on top of all of that rats ate their eggs. The Dodo’s were defenceless so since they couldn’t protect their eggs or fly and run it caused their extinction and the last dodo was found in 1618. Thanks for reading

In 1681 settlers brought competitors to the island like dogs , foxes and shepherds having flocks of sheep were brought to the Dutch islands , due to this impact on the native environment the dodo became extinct a few months later

I've never cried so much, they were so innocent why would anyone want to harm such creatures, all dodos are in heaven, poor things.
what i heard is the dodos used to be colorful looking pigeons they flew to an island and decided to live there since they were safe until the dutch came to the island and brang animals with them, rats, dogs, and cats the mouses ate all their eggs then the humans realised the trees on that island the dodos were living on had trees, which they could sell for money. They chopped all the trees down so the birds had nowhere to shelter and no food, later on they all died (By what i Learnt. Not sure if it’s true)

Wrong, the real reason they went are extinct because of them adapting not to fight or flight because they were no local threat there, so, they adapted not to fight because they are slow, physically & mentally, which caused them to have "bad survival instinct" and thought that the predators are friendly.

I heard this when I was little. A friend always mentioned to me about dodo was the last extinction of birds that was cause by humans.
Dodos were due to extinction long before humans arrived. The same for kohalas and pandas today. Extinction is part of the natural process.

This is bunch of BS, let me summarize things that happen
1. A flock of birds expand to literally everywhere, including the dodo islands
2. Having literally no carnivores predator on that island and lot of food, the bird that land on there evolve to leave mandatory ability like protecting their eggs or fly , or literally any defensive strategy since it's inefficient and they have no use of it anyway
3. Then came human (European iirc) to the island as a part of word exploration, while the human itself dislike the meat, other passanger (like rats, monkey, etc) sure love it
4. Having no such defensive mechanism, dodo cease to exist

erm- well actually ☝️🤓 the Dodo birds were a species of animals that were separated from the land back when the Pangea existed, when Mauritius broke off from Madagascarand India, these bird were left alone, with no other animals on the island. Over millions of years, the birds evolved, which would be into the Dodo species. The Dodo evolution was bad though, like a dinosaur into a chicken. The “fight or flight” mindset was wiped as no predators lived on the island with them. So when the Dutch discovered Mauritius and all of its fruit and stuff that the Dodo birds have been eating all these years, they released animals onto the island. Because of the unawareness of predators, when the animals were released onto the island, yes like explained in the video, their eggs and the birds themselves were eaten by animals liked dogs and more. Which caused the extinction of the Dodo, as they also couldn’t fly to other lands as that evolution got rid of their flying abilities as well. I learned all this from some Dodo video, search up “Why the Dodo Bird’s Really Went Extinct” then you’ll find some dude explaining what i said in more detail. Forget the channel name so you figure it out yourself, but all sources come from him, and i’m automatically believing it because i’m blinded by the internet lol. bye.

Dude Mauritius is the most beautiful place ive been to there are so many activities and vews 5 star hotels and cool creatures like the blue whale and biggest turtles on earth like size the biggest one is called domino and my favourite part is everyone is really kind there and my favourite places gotta ba the crocodile park and going beond the reef with a catamaran to see the blue whales and the dolphins

That is not accurate, the first ancestors of the dodo was actually a relative of the pigeon, the pigeons migrated to Mauritius. Once they arrived, they realized there little to no predators, it was filled with greenery hence they had alot of food so they stayed. Over time, they were living an easy life, they didn’t need to run or fly so they grew to be 1 meter tall and became a flightless bird leaving it being the 2nd largest animal on the island behind the tortoise. Then the Dutch arrived and they brought with them dogs, cats, rats and monkeys, and since they had never seen predators before, they became fearless. When the dodos saw dogs and other animals, they thought it was a friend because they had never seen a predator ever so the dogs ate them and the rats and monkeys stole and ate their eggs. The dodos were defenseless so hence they couldn’t protect or fly away from danger so it caused their extinction and the last dodo was found in 1618
