- This is some clips from Queen Elizabeth's visit to Aylesford in Kent on the 6th November 2019. Throughout the day the Queen visited the Royal British Legion Village and also opened some new flats, she took part in centenary celebrations and also buried a time capsule. This is the Queen's second visit to Kent since 2016, the last time being when she visited Brompton Barracks in Chatham.

While the queen rides in a Bentley, it is noted that the official support vehicles are BMW and VW. Police motorcycles are BMW also. When it absolutely has to start and run and not fail to proceed, the Britts choose German machines.

Not a good look but it's certainly up to her protection team, not her. Also, there's one head of state; there are patients all the time. Compared to the President of the U.S. or Russia, I'm sure any delay was minimal. Besides, there's so much congestion anyway with buses, idiot drivers, etc., I'm not surprised Winston Churchill used to drive on the sidewalk if he couldn't get through on the road.
That's interesting, be The Queen's usual instruction is that emergency vehicles should be given precedence.

Jack Rees - Lever. One! She was attacked in the mall on June 13th 1981 during the Queens journey from Buckingham palace to the Trooping of the Colour Ceremony.
She was on horseback (riding side saddle of course, when Marcus Sarjeant emerged from the crowd lining the route and fired six blank rounds from a starting pistol at Her Majesty.
Although her horse, 19 year old Burmese, started, the Queen brought it quickly under control.
Corporal Galloway of the Scots Guards seized Sarjeant and pulled him over the crowd control barriers, where Galloway and others disarmed and subdued him.
Sarjeant became the first person since 1966 to be prosecuted under the Treason Act 1842, and was sentenced to 5 years in prison, serving 3 years. (Wiki).
The Queen continued on the parade route to Horseguards Parade for the ceremony as usual.

Good vid on a lovely day. Comparing her Majesty's tidy and discrete 'cade with, say, the presidents of Germany, or R_ssia, the notable feature is the smaller number of vehicles, and the forward position of the head of state's limo (unplated; good knowledge below). Perhaps HM arrived nearby by the helo we see (otherwise it is air observation/CC, and transferred to the motor group there..? and the route is firm with local police who are out in force. peace

This is kent, there is no SEG but Met Police RaSP will be in one of the unmarked vehicles.
SEG - Special Escort Group - is a unit within London's Metropolitan Police. (RaSP = Royalty and Specialist Protection)
The queens car appears like an unarmored car. But I'm pretty sure it uses state of the art protection.

I’d have expected more vehicles in the convoy. Such as a police cruiser, mobile incident command post, spare car, ambulance and a tow truck (in case of a breakdown) .
The car would have been checked before leaving, the royal guards are very well trained in acting as medics and I'm sure there would be a particular medic there. Frankly, I don't see the point of an incident command post since there is rarely any incident and never on the queen.

The fact is Ms Policarpio, the Monarchy is financed from revenue raised from the Crown Estate not from general taxation.
The Crown Estate is managed by the government and HM receives an annual fixed sum from the revenue - the balance of the income is paid into the Treasury - ie added to the
general tax pot.

The real waste of money is parliament, not the monarchy. Parliament costs billions and is only there to give tabloid readers the impression that their opinion counts. The monarchy is funded by the Sovereign Grant, which comes from the Crown Estate. The surplus income from the Crown Estate is paid to the Treasury, £300 million pounds a year.
