One clarification for your knowledge. Muzzle loading gun is indigenous to Konyak Naga tribe only and no other tribe. Anyway very genuine elaboration of the whole festival. Thank you for visiting our Nagaland.
When British came to Nagaland and began to encroach into interior areas. They encountered Konyak tribes and saw that they make a special gun. So, british they thought this tribe is very advanced and if we don't something then they will overpower Us. That's the reason why opium was introduced to this tribe. And they become addicted to opium... (This is a story I used to hear from my grandpa)

Loved your take on the Hornbill Festival, you've captured alot of small details from the festival which is very lovely of you. And the Galho you ate, it's basically our version of rice porridge. It's made with rice, meat & green leafy vegetables (harvested from the village Jungle) served along with spicy pickle and it's a signature cuisine of the Angami and Chakhesang Naga Tribe.
