What a nice poem.
Congrats Mister Grey and thank you so much for the great airshow demonstrations you performed for us all !
Greetings from Southern France
Many thanks! I screen captured your comment and sent to Mr Grey!
My heart lept, on fire, as the words of this poem, sparked such passion, I so loved every moment, and imagined, I was flighing, for his Graces, royal airforce. Against the foe, for king and country. For freedom, for liberty and justice.
Thank you Eagle Dynamics for making my dreams come true.
So many connections to the Battle of Britain in there. “Baptized in fire!”
I was at that airshow (RIO 2022) in Gruyère, Switzerland, in September 2022 and saw Nick in the Spit. Great show!
If eagle dynamics and fighter collection ever goes bottoms up, he has a solid career explaining how a can opener works.
$1M Voice!
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP FACTS!
Nick has one of those voices that gives you chills. Brilliant.
Indeed, he truly is a remarkable person and has been an inspiration for the WWII side of DCS. We need to tell the story of how this was an afterthought when he and Igor built the company. More in the future on this.
@@AIRWARFAREGROUP that’ll be fantastic.
You have done very special thinks, Nick. Your achievements made our dreams come true.
I met him once in la Ferte Alais, good person. Lucky one too ! awesome footage !
I've seen those towering clouds, piercing through into the burning blue. I imagined his words as if they were mine and true. Thank you for sharing. And Thank you, Nick, for such words reliving through me.
Wonderful!
Dear Sir, then you too were touched by the face of God… High Flight dear Sir. Kind regards Nick
Dude, finally get to see this man work in the cockpit. That’s awesome. Great voice and video.
He’s really an aviator who has passion for flying and flight simulators. We’re hoping to bring some history of ED and how WWII aircraft made their way into DCS through a collaboration.
Glad to have purchased the DCS Spitfire IXe - because this realises that it is really Nick's own....
I truly love the CW version for the way it handles.
Magnificent
In all aspects, beautiful!
Thank you for making my dreams of being a pilot come true ED
I have heard that testimonial from a few pilots, our guy Tekada started out with FLANKER and would go on to fly Blackhawks in the Army and now fire fighting tanker pilot. They do make dreams come true!
I screen captured this and shared it with Nick Grey and one of his Lead Managers! They really appreciate your feedback.
Dear Sir, when I am old and no longer fit for flight, then what will there be to help me remember as my ailing memory steals the day? I pray that DCS will still be around for all of those who wish to know or who seek to refresh their their fighter pilot spirits along the way … Thank you for your passion and support. Kind regards Nick
I'd love to be lucky enough to be on the ground, maybe even on the nearby hill, to watch this IRL!!
Yes, that sound!
That helmet would be awesome merch. :D
👍
Wonderful...
Amazing. lost for words 🥹
🙌
This is a great stuff
Awesome! Now I need to go jump in the Spit!
Putting this together with Nick made me revisit it last night with a friend.
Spit mkIX Great poem. Loved the video. Nicely done!
Absolutely fantastic! I think he is flying the Fighter Collection Spitfire Mk.Vb EP120 in this video. They do not currently have a flying Mk.IX in their collection.
@@eirikstensj6946 Thank you for the correction, saw the 20mm and was thinking mark IX. Beautiful aircraft and the poem fired me up!!
Thank you kindly!
And I'm sure it's a Clipped Wing version as well.
EP120 is usually a clipped wing Spitfire. The Fighter Collection does have wing tips for it though, and I have seen them in use once in 2013. The Horsemen display team used it as the lead aircraft in a three ship formation at Flying Legends at Duxford that year. The other two were Spitfire Mk.Ia.
Think i need to get him to read stories to my kid's at bedtime. I'd stand a fighting chance of getting on DCS if the buggers were asleep!
He has the voice people pay for, think of Idris Elba and Benedict Cumberbatch.
lol. I second that. Maybe he should do a few kids audio books to boost DCS sales.
How did this video come to this channel? Is Nick a part of this community?
Nick reached out to us last year and had been following us for a couple of years. He and I hit it off right away and have become good friends. In his words, AWG is displaying DCS for how Nick and Igor intended it as a Digital Combat Simulator…DCS is in the name…Nick shared his five-minute flight video with me to use and I arranged it with music. I recommend a story for the background to the video and he came up with the poem he wrote for the Spitfire, obviously his favorite warbird. He is truly an incredible dude to chat with and share our passion for aviation. Other people who have met him and worked for him tell me the same thing. Just so pleasant to be around. He’s part of every DCS community and we are part of his 😀
A poet and a Spitfire pilot... my boss is still cooler than your boss :)
True story!
