    Thank you so much for sharing this! It helped me so much! I will follow your other channel too for sure! I painted glassware for years and did quite well. My hands don’t work like they did so I am not doing that anymore. I found this medium that I am so new too but am in love with it!! You were very encouraging!! I follow you a lot and really want to thank you for putting all this on here!

    I have several pieces for sale in a shop and have only sold one in a month and a half. I had actually just sat down this morning and lower my prices since this is the first time I’ve put my pieces in a shop like this a d was unsure what I could actually get for them, so I was afraid I had over priced them. My friends and my husband actually believe they are either priced well or even underpriced and now after watching this video, I’m wondering if lower my prices is the right thing to do. I just wish I had an experienced artist tell me what my paintings were actually worth and if they are really as gold as people tell me they are.

    • @ArtisticallyRandom
      @ArtisticallyRandom 3 года назад

      Unfortunately some experienced artists are not the best to ask questions. Some are rooting only for themselves and will steer you wrong on purpose 😢
      That being said, never forget that the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You may have 1 peice that 4 people think it'sbeautiful, 1 person is over the top in love with it, 1 person may think it's ok but not great, 3 people think it's ugly, and 1 person would want to burn it they dislike it so much. So I suggest sticking to your price zone. If you have not watched one of the live auctions, go back and watch one and have the chat showing. It is another example of how one peice may have only one bid and another will have a frenzy of bids... it's all in what the peice says to the individual...
      Now that I have typed a poorly typed mini novel 🤷‍♀️🤪🤣 I will wish you well! Have a great day 💐

      Don't lower prices, have a sale. That way as you grow, the good price is already established.

    I always priced retail products by doubling my cost....and a minimum of my hand made items 3 X's of what it cost me in products.

    I came up with a formula for pricing my art. It can be so frustrating trying to price art and getting your name out there but with this formula it takes most of the guesswork out of pricing my art. There's nothing easy about it lol

    • @littlefeather9709
      @littlefeather9709 3 года назад +1

      Would you share your formula? Just curious..

    • @rockkandyart7291
      @rockkandyart7291 3 года назад

      @@littlefeather9709 I basically just pay myself $/hr, then I calculate how much paint and pouring medium I use for each canvas and x by.10. then I calculate the sqft of each canvas and x by .30. I allow for materials and if I resin the piece or embellish. Not an exact science but it's a start. Even with the formula I have troubles but it makes it much easier

    Thanks for the info. Is $65 for a 16x20 too much? It took me a half hour to full hour to do them. I just cannot sell my artwork? I was thinking about reducing the price for that size down to $45 but I am not sure.......
