He is virtually invincible and can pretty much correct any situation instantly so he lives a life of ultimate bordem and solitude. He can't enjoy normal things because hes had all the time in the world to enjoy them instantly. And to be in his time warp is to truely be alone as no one can interact. I think its one of the greatest scenes ever written and the happy melancholy of the music just tops it off with such beauty.
