Well, thank you!! I've done plant tours of my garden but not my house. I'll put it on the list. Favorite plants ... I could probably choose 10 but it would be hard! Nell
PLS HELP! Why do my ZZ plant turning brown from the tips of the leaves? I just bought them 3 weeks ago and haven’t watered it. I watched from one of your videos that I can water it once a month or even once in 2 months. Thank you in advance!!
Nell Foster I changed the soil today and noticed that some bulbs was soft like jello. I got rid of some damaged bulbs and repotted it. Hopefully they will survive. Thank you for your reply 😊
Hi! I started my love for succulents this year. My favorite is my aloe!! I have a few small succulents also. I sprinkled a little worm castings on them and it seems since I did that they are not doing well. One plant eventually died. Another looks like she is trying to die. 🥺 Are you supposed to fertilize little sucs? I treasure my aloe; I have been trying to grow aloe for years. I learnt how to take care and grow aloe from you and one other vloggers. I got her for Easter and she grew out of her little pot she came in and I repotted her. She did wonderfully and quickly out grew her pot so I repotted her in a bigger pot. She was taking to that pot wonderfully and I decided to cut 2 leaves to use on my hair and face. Eventually a leaf broke off no thanks to me little cat. So I took that leaf and one other that was getting too big and used them also. This was at least a month and a half after my first cuttings. She just don't seem too be happy; she isn't "full". She does grow new leaves every so often. Her leaves are not real thick and they grow to long I have to prop them up. I feel that is not normal. Am I caring for her properly? At the same time I used worm castings on my little sucs I also gave my aloe some. After watching this video I am wondering if I understood correctly. I should fertilize my succulents April and October. Am I supposed to fertilize monthly during those months or just those 2 months? We have crazy weather here in Maryland. One second it is hot and very humid and you never know when it will rain...it comes out of nowhere. I keep my succulents inside and take them outside only when I'll be home to watch out for the rain. I don't have a window in the southwest area but I do have a southeast window and I open the blinds in the morning and close them at night. I do have a grow light I put them under if they are unable to go outside or we don't have any sunshine on a few days. They do not go under the lamp for more than 3 or 4 days a month. Now that the weather is getting cooler I figured they will have to spend a little more time under the grow light. Am I doing things right with aloe and sucs? The sinlight, fertilize and such? I'd greatly appreciate you reading this and I hope you can help me help my plants. I hope I am doing things correctly. Thank you, Kim O. 🙂
Hi Kim - I use worm compost & compost on all my succulents. Easy does it with succulents. I've done a round-up post on Aloe vera. This will help you out: www.joyusgarden.com/aloe-vera-101/ Nell
Hi - That's usually a watering issue - the plant has dried out or the soil has stayed too wet. Vague but it's hard to say without knowing how it's been watered! Nell
@@NellFosterjoyusgarden I got it 3 weeks ago and had watered it only once since than..it was in a 10 inch pot . I checked the roots on it and they weren't long enough for that pot, the soil was moist still. I repotted it back into an 8 pot instead with a more airy soil. I'm going to wait for a couple of days before I water it.. what do you think?
@@mardel3 They have really thick roots & don't like a heavy soil at all. Mine is potted in a mix with a lot of coco chips & coco fiber. It helps the mix to stay on the dry side.
Hi Nell good to se you again i like you so much and your videos, i have a new video about my begonias. A lot of greetings from Serbia-Europe ! I am a old suscriber of yours for so long ago.
Your videos makes me so happy I love your vibe! 🥰
Would you ever do a full plant tour? Maybe telling us what your favorites are as well? :)

Could be your tap water &/or too much water. Nell

How can we get red of fruit flies from my indoor plant...
Hi - They're attracted to vinegar. Try putting a bowl w/water & vinegar next to your plant. Nell
