Havasupai Falls Reopens // 4K // Spring 2023

Havasupai Falls reopened in the spring of 2023, after a three-year Covid closure.
A flash flood turned Havasu Creek's famous blue waters muddy brown for a week in March, and left longer-term damage to the trails.

The Havasupai Tribe puts strict limits on permits. People visiting in 2023 are either on the permits they bought three years ago, or are buying transferred permits from people who are canceling their trips.

And the price?? $400.00 each. Worth it? I've backpacked there 28 times in all. (7 to the confluence) Too much negative change in how it's run for me to go back. But for newbies, it's likely fun.
