That $1600 price breakdown: P365 ~ $500-570 Gray guns trigger- $60 WC Spring upgrade- ~$25 WC grip module $60 Slide CNC and NDLC ~$400 They downgrade the NS to trashy fiberoptics (on a carry gun?) arguably worse serrations Finally the WC name- $500
@@howardkazanowitz1117 i’m sorry to hear about your experience. I love Wilson Combat products, but I can’t wrap my head around the value on this one. Thank you very much for watching.
Bill Wilson and his company do fantastic work. Having said that, I think that the additional cost of their 365 is too steep. I believe there is some definite value in the upgrades they did but not $1,000 worth. Twice the cost of factory? Maybe. Three times? No, not for me.
Got mine for $1150 and luv it! Heard the same arguments when I bought my Harley 23 years ago, luv it too!! Bottom line is I'm gonna keep it, carry it, and show it off so it was worth it to me. If it's not worth it to you, that's okay too!
I'm a fan of Wilson Combat products and I'm an even bigger fan of the P365; but the asking price for this gun is outrageous. I prefer the curved trigger, so the flat trigger means nothing to me. I definitely prefer the X-Ray sights, especially for a concealed carry pistol; so the fiber optic is a downgrade in my opinion. As you correctly pointed out, the grip modules can be had for less than $100.00. That leaves the slide work, which is done by machines, not by hand; and the trigger job. A Wilson Combat trigger job is a good thing; but by my math, they are charging as much, or nearly as much as the gun itself costs, just for smoother take up and a shorter reset. Thanks, but no thanks!
Thanks for your review of the Wilson P365. At that price, I'm not going to rush out to buy one. And they don't offer one with the manual safety. I put Wilson grip modules on my 365 and 365XL and changed the trigger, all for a lot less than the Wilson price.
@@MDpolo I believe it should be able to be done. I've been researching this the past few days heavily. According to Sigs website, all p365s have the same fcu and I also saw a separate video on yt illustrate this. I want a manual safety as well, so I'm leaning that way. It is admittedly a PITA to spend more money on an already expensive gun, but it can apparently be done. I'll also share that the matrix chart on WC website seems contradictory, but I have seen errors before on their guides for 1911s
That trigger looks fantastic. I also appreciate they upgraded the sights for co-witness as the trend is certainly towards optics. Rumor has it WC is working on grip modules, etc. for the X Macro. For all the extra expense, I personally would wait until then.
I bought the Wilson grip for 60 bucks. A factory flat trigger for 45. A Shalotek XC Tracker comped and optic cut slide for 260 bucks. and a 407k for just under 200 bucks. And of course the gun for 540. All of that was after tax and any shipping. Then I sold my old slide and sights for 250 and my grip for 50. Way better deal. So 805 for the complete package. WAY better deal.
Great review, as always. I figured Wilson Combat would've come out with the P365 long time ago. I do think the price is a bit steep. It's probably worth it based on the upgrades. The Taran Tactical version is $2k plus. Yes, it did sell at the shop.
I think it all depends where one sees value. When I start thinking about spending $1600 on a gun for self protection, my mind starts wandering to other options. I don’t know. I’m torn on this one. Thank you very much for stopping by my friend.
I would buy a Wilson Combat XL grip module as well as some Sig 12 round mags. This way you would have an XL for 50.00 per mag and 60,00 for the Wilson Combat grip. This would give you 2 guns, if you swaped out the grip frames.
I thought maybe 1200-1300$ but the 1k$ more is too much. Overall it may make sense to keep some sort of exclusivity or they just make a batch and it is meant as an entry to WC overall.
Quick question, I am about to buy one like the one in the video from Wilson combat, does it still fit on your standard p365 holsters given the suppressor height sights ?
Yes as long as the holster has a taller channel for the sights. I have regular P365 holsters with zero issues. Harry’s Holsters or Phalanx Concealment Holsters.
The slide and flat trigger are not worth that much. Your right about it being cheaper to just upgrade an original. I like the look of the WC slide top👍🏾
I think Wilson Combat wants about 2,000 for these. I am happy with the WC grip, new FCU & maybe XS sights. The upgrades I stated are 575.00 tops. That makes my ultimate 1075.00. I could have gone cheaper for 100.00 for a flat faced trigger, I will do next time. My problem with the Wilson Combat Sig P365 is the sights they have decided to put on this firearm. There are better than "Litewave" plastic sights. Do not get me wrong I have them on several guns. I do not understand the optic ready sights. It would have been better to put upgraded sights . If the owner wants to put on an optic, it would be be better to buy the optic ready sights when buying the optic. As it sits now the optic ready sights are more of a potential snagging problem.. I am sure the internals and more additions we do not see are fantastic. I wonder how many Wilson has sold. I am cheap & will do the upgrades as I want. There sure is a premium to pay for the Wilson name. It kind of reminds me of Gucci or another name brand hand bag. After a bit you are paying for the "Brand Name"-Great video, Thank you-God bless.
You can add the same grip module for around $50 some bucks and the grey guns trigger for under $100, as much as I like Wilson Combat, there no way I’d pay $1600 for their version , in fact I just bought the P365 optics ready and mounted a Holosun EPS carry and am ordering the Wilson grip module and Grey guns flat trigger , I’ll have 98% of the Wilson guns performance for 1/3 the cost
It's a great looking firearm for sure, and I certainly wouldn't mind having one of my own, but for that price and they still didn't give us a proper picatinny rail? No thank you, you can keep it.
I really like the grip, but you can do everything else with even better parts yourself for less or cost. There’s better triggers out there that’s just a Sigg flat trigger they make other flat triggers that are nice. I also like a different custom slide I have seen online there’s a lot of them that are nice.
Tbh I’d pass at that price point. The trigger in my 365 is actually pretty nice, and I prefer the X-ray night sights over fiber optics for a carry gun. The WC looks awesome. But that’s a $2,000 365 after taxes. I’d rather just buy an xmacro for $800, then get the WC grip module for $70 and call it a day. You already have a better gun right there for $1,000 less imo, and you have plenty left over to get spare mags, a holster, an optic, or upgrade the trigger/slide serrations if you feel it’s necessary. Great video, thanks for sharing 👍
Hickok45 shot a couple mags through this gun, and the fiber optic in the front sight fell out. If I had paid $1599 plus tax and the front site falls apart, that's going to really spoil my "love at first sight"
I have a Wilson Combat EDC-X9 and that is one sweet gun, but at $3,000+ it’s pricy. It is truly quality though. Based on their quality work, I would definitely pay the extra $1,000 if I were in the market for a P365 (and I am tempted).
Interesting video brother... It's a tough decision that will almost always be based on money. I love Wilson Combat - just a stellar company in all ways. But for my personal uses, I can't really justify 1000 bucks more for those upgrades - y'alls opinion may vary. I don't like the raised height sights on a concealed carry piece that doesn't even come with a threaded barrel. Why do you need raised sights on a concealed piece, it's supposed to maximum practically concealable? I don't like the new flat trigger trend - just doesn't float my boat. Imagine a bad, long, nasty, gravelly double action revolver trigger that was flat... it would be the most awful trigger on earth after the Nagant revolver. Every flat trigger seems to be super-tuned, at least the ones I've squeezed - probably a reason for that. And why hasn't that always been the standard over the past few hundred years? If I had some extra cash to burn on the Wilson I would do it in a heartbeat, but 1000 clams more for those upgrades isn't worth it to me personally.
You make some valid points. The trigger is substantially better than the regular P365. As far as the raised sights, The gun is optics ready so perhaps it is an assumption that a red dot will be installed, thus you would have co-witnessing capability right out of the box. Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to stop by.
Super expensive even leave the OEM barrel the grip is great though! If you know how to work on a gun, you can make a much nicer version of your own kind of a boomer, marketing ploy or just someone who doesn’t want to get into the grass.
That’s a 65 dollar grip module. New sights are 150 bucks. So you are paying around 700 dollars for an improved trigger and some slide serrations. No thanks.
The Wilson Combat is NOT worth the price tag or one thousand dollars more than the original stock 365. A Wilson Combat grip module and an MCARBO trigger/spring kit can virtually give you the same upgraded results at less than $200.00.
That $1600 price breakdown:
P365 ~ $500-570
Gray guns trigger- $60
WC Spring upgrade- ~$25
WC grip module $60
Slide CNC and NDLC ~$400
They downgrade the NS to trashy fiberoptics (on a carry gun?)
arguably worse serrations
Finally the WC name- $500
Yeah, that about sums it up. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Bought one, Looks nice but no better shooting experience than a 365 with Wilson grip(60.00)Definitely regret this purchase
@@howardkazanowitz1117 i’m sorry to hear about your experience. I love Wilson Combat products, but I can’t wrap my head around the value on this one. Thank you very much for watching.

Would one be able to put the WC module with the safety cut outs on this and then buy the safety kit conversion?

Excellent weapon. Way overpriced. The WCP320 is borderline price wise but I bought one anyway. Wilson better drop the price on this one.
